A data-driven approach for modeling and predicting the thrust force of a tunnel boring machine

Thrust prediction of a tunnel boring machine(TBM)is crucial for the life span of disc cutters,cost forecasting,and its design optimization.Many factors affect the thrust of a TBM.The rock pressure on the shield,advance speed,and cutter water pressure will all have a certain impact.In addition,geological conditions and other random factors will also influence the thrust and greatly increase the difficulty of modeling it,seriously affecting the efficiency of tunnel excavation.To overcome these challenges,this paper establishes a thrust prediction model for the TBM based on the combination of on-site quality record data and surrogate model technology.Firstly,the thrust composition and influencing factors are analyzed and the thrust is modeled using a surrogate model based on field data.After main factor screening based on the Morris method,the accuracy of the surrogate model is greatly improved.The Kriging model with the highest accuracy is selected to model the thrust and predict the thrust of the unexcavated section.The results show that the thrust model has better thrust prediction by selecting similar conditions for modeling and reasonably increasing modeling samples.The thrust prediction method of TBM based on the combination of field data and surrogate model can accurately predict the dynamic thrust of the load and can also accurately estimate its statistical characteristics and effectively improve the excavation plan.

Dear Editor,Porcine deltacoronavirus(PDCoV)is a novel discovered swine enteric coronavirus which can cause diarrhea and dehydration in pigs,particularly in neonatal piglets(Jung et al.,2016).At present,there are no commercial vaccines available for PDCo V.To control PDCoV transmission and perform antiviral therapy efficiently,a rapid and accurate diagnostic method to detect PDCo V is needed.

To detect uncorrectable frames and terminate the decoding procedure early, a probability stopping criterion for iterative analog decoding of low density parity check （LDPC） codes is proposed in this paper. By using probabilities of satisfied checks to detect uncorrectable frames and terminate decoding, the proposed criterion could be applied to analog decoders without much structure modifications. Simulation results show that the proposed criterion can reduce the average number of iterations and achieve a better balance in bit error ratio （BER） performance and decoding complexity than other stopping criteria using extrinsic information.

In order to improve the registration accuracy of brain magnetic resonance images(MRI),some deep learning registration methods use segmentation images for training model.How-ever,the segmentation values are constant for each label,which leads to the gradient variation con-centrating on the boundary.Thus,the dense deformation field(DDF)is gathered on the boundary and there even appears folding phenomenon.In order to fully leverage the label information,the morphological opening and closing information maps are introduced to enlarge the non-zero gradi-ent regions and improve the accuracy of DDF estimation.The opening information maps supervise the registration model to focus on smaller,narrow brain regions.The closing information maps supervise the registration model to pay more attention to the complex boundary region.Then,opening and closing morphology networks(OC_Net)are designed to automatically generate open-ing and closing information maps to realize the end-to-end training process.Finally,a new registra-tion architecture,VM_(seg+oc),is proposed by combining OC_Net and VoxelMorph.Experimental results show that the registration accuracy of VM_(seg+oc) is significantly improved on LPBA40 and OASIS1 datasets.Especially,VM_(seg+oc) can well improve registration accuracy in smaller brain regions and narrow regions.

The world＇s present demand for oil and gas is still in a rapid growth period, and traditional oil and gas resources account for more than 60% of the global oil and gas supply. The Americas is the world＇s second largest production and consumption center of liquid fuel, and is also the world＇s largest natural gas producer. In 2016, the Americas had 85.3 billion tons of proven oil reserves and 18.7 trillion m3 of proven natural gas reserves, which account for 35.4% and 10.0% of world＇s total reserves, respectively. It produced 1267.1 Mt of oil and 1125.4 billion m3 of natural gas, which account for 28.9% and 31.7% of the world＇s total production, respectively. The crude oil and natural gas reserves are mainly distributed in the U.S., Canada and Venezuela. The U.S. is the earliest and most successful country in shale gas exploration and development, and its shale gas is concentrated in the southern, central and eastern U.S., including the Marcellcus shale, Barnett shale, EagleFord shale, Bakken shale, Fayettevis shale, Haynsvill shale, Woodford shale and Monterey/Santos shale. The potential oil and gas resources in the Americas are mainly concentrated in the anticline and stratigraphic traps in the Middle- Upper Jurassic slope deposition of the North Slope Basin, the Paleozoic Madsion group dolomite and limestone in the Williston Basin, dominant stratigraphic traps and few structural traps in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, the Eocene structural-stratigraphic hydrocarbon combination, structural- unconformity traps and structural hydrocarbon combination, and the Upper Miocene stratigraphic- structural hydrocarbon combination in the Maracaibo Basin of Venezuela, the stratigraphic-structural traps and fault horst, tilting faulted blocks and anticlines related to subsalt structure and basement activity in the Campos Basin, the subsalt central low-uplift belt and supra-salt central low-uplift belt in the Santos Basin of Brazil, and the structural-stratigraphic traps in the Neuquen Basin of Argentina. The Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road Initiative, abbreviated as the Belt and Road Initiative, is a primary development strategy of China＇s future international cooperation. Especially, the energy resource cooperation, including oil and gas resources cooperation, is an important part of this initiative. The Belt and Road has undergone complicated geological evolution, and contains abundant mineral resources such as oil, gas, coal, uranium, iron, copper, gold and manganese ore resources. Among these, Africa holds 7.8% of the world＇s total proven oil reserves. The oil and gas resources in Africa are relatively concentrated, with an overall low exploration degree and small consumption demand. Nigeria and libya contain the most abundant oil resources in Africa, accounting for 2.2% and 2.9% of the world＇s total reserves, respectively. Nigeria and Algeria hold the richest natural gas resources in Africa, occupying 2.8% and 2.4% of the world＇s total reserves, respectively. Africa＇s oil and gas resources are mainly concentrated in Egypt, Sultan and Western Sahara regions in the northern Africa, and the Gulf of Guinea, Niger River and Congo River area in the western Africa. The Russia--Central Asia area holds rich petroleum resources in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The potential oil and gas areas include the West Siberia Basin, East Siberia Basin and sea continental shelf in Russia, the northern and central Caspian Basin in Kazakhstan, the right bank of the Amu-Darya Basin, the East Karakum uplift and the South Caspian Basin in Turkmenistan, and the Amu-Daria Basin, Fergana Basin, Afghan-Tajik Basin and North Ustyurt Basin in Uzbekistan. The Middle East oil and gas resources are mainly distributed in the Zagros foreland basin and Arabian continental margin basin, and the main oil-producing countries include Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq. 在粤港澳大湾区,劳动力密集型企业,如搬家公司等目前正面临着劳动力市场新老交替的历史阶段。新兴的青年劳动力阶层对于工作时间和职业收入的满意度函数与上一代劳动力具有较为显著的偏好差异。本文拟围绕这一背景探索如何让企业在获得高收益的同时保证员工的工作满意度的问题。本文在考虑了收入偏好型员工和舒适偏好型员工不同特点的基础上,结合运筹学方法和效用函数设计,综合考虑员工的加班不满意度和加班容忍度两个方面,定量地评价员工的工作满意度,建立企业雇佣方案模型。在此基础上,本文研究了各种不同的场景下企业任务量、企业雇佣方案、员工满意度与企业收益四个变量之间的关系。通过仿真测试发现,当企业的任务量方差较大时,应提高雇佣方案中舒适偏好型员工所占比例;当企业的任务时间方差较大时,应提高雇佣方案中收入偏好型员工所占比例。本研究对于促进粤港澳大湾区的劳动力就业发展,维护粤港澳大湾区的地区稳定以及吸纳更多的企业和员工具有重要意义。

为解决在含水复杂条件下,高应变率荷载作用对混凝土动态力学性能的影响问题,利用含水率控制法与霍普金森压杆(SHPB)试验系统,对不同含水率下混凝土试样开展动态单轴压缩试验,探究试样的动态应力-应变曲线、抗压强度、动弹模及峰值应变的变化规律,并对其宏观破坏形态进行分析。研究表明:随着含水率增大,混凝土试样的动弹模与抗压强度减小,峰值应变增大,破碎程度加剧;随着应变率增大,试样的动弹模及抗压强度明显增大,而动态峰值应变变化较小,破坏程度增加,试样破坏类型由拉伸破坏向压剪破坏转变。这说明含水率增大会使混凝土的动态力学性能减弱,而增大加载应变率可提高试样动态抗压性能,加剧混凝土材料的破坏程度。在实际混凝土工程中,应合理设置排水结构减少水对混凝土的侵蚀作用,并且可以设计适宜加载应变率控制混凝土结构的变形与破坏程度。
