Temporal variability of global potential water erosion based on an improved USLE model

Assessing spatiotemporal variation in global soil erosion is essential for identifying areas that require greater attention and management under the effects of anthropogenic activities and climate *** erosion can be modelled using the universal soil loss equation(USLE),which includes rainfall erosivity(R-factor),vegetation cover(C-factor),topography(ls-factor),soil erodibility(K-factor),and management practices(P-factor).However,global soil erosion modeling faces numerous challenges,including data acquisition,calculation processes,and parameter calibration under different climatic and topographic ***,we presented an improved USLE-based model using highly distributed *** R-,C-,and P-factors were modified by the climate zone,country,and *** distributed model was applied to estimate the intensity and variations in global soil erosion from 1992 to *** validated the accuracy of this model by comparing simulations with measurements from 11,439 plot years of erosion *** results showed that i)the average global erosion rate was 5.78 t ha^(-1)year^(-1),with an increase rate of 4.26×10^(-3)t ha^(-1)year^(-1);ii)areas with significantly increasing erosion accounted for 16%of the land with water erosion,whereas those with significantly decreasing erosion accounted for 7%;and iii)areas with severe erosion included the western Ghats,Abyssinian Plateau,Brazilian Plateau,south and east of the Himalayas,and western coast of South *** erosion occurred mainly on the Amazon Plain and the northern coast of the *** study provides an improved water erosion prediction model and accurate information for researchers and policymakers to identify the drivers underlying changes in water erosion in different regions.

Quasi-2D weak lensing cosmological constraints using the PDF-SYM method

Cosmic shear statistics,such as the two-point correlation function(2PCF),can be evaluated with the PDF-SYM method instead of the traditional weighted-sum *** makes use of the full PDF information of the shear estimators,and does not require weightings on the shear estimators,which can in principle introduce additional systematic *** work presents our constraints on S8and?mfrom the shear-shear correlations using the PDF-SYM *** data we use is from the z-band images of the Dark Energy Camera Legacy Survey(DECa ls),which covers about 10000 deg2with more than 100 million *** shear catalog is produced by the Fourier Quad method,and well tested on the real data itself with the field-distortion *** main approach is called quasi-2D as we do use the photo-z information of each individual galaxy,but without dividing the galaxies into redshift *** mainly use galaxy pairs within the redshift interval between 0.2 and 1.3,and the angular range from 4.7 to 180 *** analysis yields S8=0.762±0.026 and?m=0.234±0.075,with the baryon effects and the intrinsic alignments *** results are robust against redshift *** check the consistency of our results by deriving the cosmological constraints from auto-correlations ofγ1andγ2separately,and find that they are consistent with each other,but the constraints from theγ1component are much weaker than that fromγ*** implies a much worse data quality ofγ1,which is likely due to additional shear uncertainties caused by CCD electronics(according to the survey strategy of DECa ls).We also perform a pure 2D analysis,which gives S8=0.81_(-0.04)^(+0.03)and?m=0.25_(-0.05)^(+0.06).Our findings demonstrate the potential of the PDF-SYM method for precision cosmology.

Identification of the Hammerstein nonlinear system with noisy output measurements

In this research, we present a methodology to identify the Hammerstein nonlinear system with noisy output measurements. The Hammerstein system presented is comprised of neural fuzzy model (NFM) as its static nonlinear block and auto-regressive with extra input (ARX) model as its dynamic linear block, and a two-step procedure is accomplished using signal combination. In the first step, in the case of input–output of Gaussian signals, the correlation function-based least squares (CF-ls) technique is utilized to identify the linear block, solving the problem that the intermediate variable connecting nonlinear and linear blocks cannot be measured. In the second step, to improve the identification accuracy of the nonlinear block parameters, an improved particle swarm optimization technique is developed under input–output of random signals. The validity and accuracy of the presented scheme are verified by a numerical simulation and a practical nonlinear process, and the results illustrate that the proposed methodology can identify well the Hammerstein nonlinear system with noisy output measurements.

Expression and characterization of Gag protein of HIV-1（CN） in Pichia pastoris

To express the core protein of HIV-1 of Chinese prevalent strain (HIV-1 (CN)) in Pichia pastoris, the fulllength gag gene was inserted into the secretory expression vector pHIls1。linearized recombinant plasmid pHILGAG by Sail was electrotransformed into the yeast strain GS115, and the yeast transformants were identified by PCR。To induce the interest protein to be expressed, the PCR positive transformants were inoculated in the medium of BMGY and BMMY, mRNA of the strain was detected by RT-PCR, and the expressed protein was analyzed by SDS-PAGE, Western blotting and thin layer scanning。mRNA (1.3 kb) was amplified by RT-PCR。SDS-PAGE and Western blotting analysis showed that the molecular mass of the expressed protein was 55 kD, which was similar to the expected value, and the expressed protein could react with McAb to HIV-1 p24。Thin layer scanning analysis demonstrated that the whole amount of the expressed protein was approximately 13 % of the soluble protein in the supernatant。The recombinant yeast had good genetic stability。The optimal expression conditions of the engineering yeast were as follows: BMMY medium, 80-90% of dissolved oxygen, 1% methanol, and 3-day-cultivation course。Gag proteins were expressed under the optimal expression condition and purified via gel filtration chromatography。The purity of the interest protein was up to 85 %。After the purified proteins were inoculated into BALB/c mice, the anti-HIV-1 antibodies in the immunized mice could be detected by Western blotting。

Border Gateway Protocol(BGP)is a standard inter-domain routing protocol for the Internet that conveys network layer reachability information and establishes routes to different *** BGP protocol exhibits security design defects,such as an unconditional trust mechanism and the default acceptance of BGP route announcements from peers by BGP neighboring nodes,easily triggering prefix hijacking,path forgery,route leakage,and other BGP security ***,the traditional BGP security mechanism,relying on a public key infrastructure,faces issues like a single point of failure and a single point of *** decentralization,anti-tampering,and traceability advantages of blockchain offer new solution ideas for constructing secure and trusted inter-domain routing *** this paper,we summarize the characteristics of BGP protocol in detail,sort out the BGP security threats and their ***,we analyze the shortcomings of the traditional BGP security mechanism and comprehensively evaluate existing blockchain-based solutions to address the above problems and validate the reliability and effectiveness of blockchain-based BGP security methods in mitigating BGP security ***,we discuss the challenges posed by BGP security problems and outline prospects for future research.
