Integrating Audio-Visual Features and Text Information for Story Segmentation of News Video

Video data are composed of multimodal information streams including visual, auditory and textual streams, so an approach of story segmentation for news video using multimodal analysis is described in this paper. The proposed approach detects the topic-caption frames, and integrates them with silence clips detection results, as well as shot segmentation results to locate the news story boundaries. The integration of audio-visual features and text information overcomes the weakness of the approach using only image analysis techniques. On test data with 1.5 400 frames, when the boundaries between news stories are detected, the accuracy rate 85.8% and the recall rate 97.5% are obtained. The experimental results show the approach is valid and robust.

Knowledge reduction is an important issue when dealing with huge amounts of data. And it has been proved that computing the minimal reduct of decision system is NP-complete. By introducing heuristic information into genetic algorithm, we proposed a heuristic genetic algorithm. In the genetic algorithm, we const{1.cted a new operator to maintaining the classification ability. The experiment shows that our algorithm is efficient and effective for minimal reduct, even for the special example that the simple heuristic algorithm can’t get the right result.

Digital signature scheme is a very important research field in computer security and modern cryptography. A (k, n) threshold digital signature scheme is proposed by integrating digital signature scheme with Shamir secret sharing scheme. It can rea{1.ze group-oriented digital signature, and its security is based on the difficulty in computing discrete logarithm and quadratic residue on some special conditions. In this scheme, effective digital signature can not be generated by anyk?1.or fewer legal users, or only by signature executive. In addition, this scheme can identify any legal user who presents incorrect partial digital signature to disrupt correct signature, or any illegal user who forges digital signature. A method of extending this scheme to an Abe{1.an group such as el{1.ptical curve group is also discussed. The extended scheme can provide rapider computing speed and stronger security in the case of using shorter key. An unsupervised clustering\|based intrusion detection algorithm is discussed in this paper. The basic idea of the algorithm is to produce the cluster by comparing the distances of unlabeled training data sets. With the classified data instances, anomaly data clusters can be easily identified by normal cluster ratio and the identified cluster can be used in real data detection. The benefit of the algorithm is that it doesn't need labeled training data sets. The experiment concludes that this approach can detect unknown intrusions efficiently in the real network connections via using the data sets of KDD99.

The polymer electrolyte membrane(PeM)electrolyzers are burdened with costly iridium(Ir)-based catalysts and high operation overpotentials for the oxygen evolution reaction(OeR).The development of earth-abundant,highly active,and durable electrocatalysts to replace Ir is a critical step in reducing the cost of green hydrogen *** we develop a ru5Mo4Ox binary oxide catalyst that exhibits high activity and stabi{1.ty in acidic *** electron-withdrawing property of Mo enriches the electrophi{1.c surface oxygen species,which promotes acidic OeR to proceed via the adsorbate evolution *** a result,we achieve a 1.9 mV overpotential at 1. mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 48.8 mV·dec^(-1..Our catalyst demonstrates a substantial 1.-fold increase in intrinsic activity,as evaluated by turnover frequency,compared to commercially available ruO_(2) and IrO_(2) ***,we report a stable OeR operation at 1. mA·cm^(-2) for 1.0 h with a low degradation rate of 2.05 mV·h^(-1..

Pyrolusite comprises the foremost manganese oxides and is a major source of manganese *** innovative hydrogenbased mineral phase transformation technology to pyrolusite was proposed,where a 96.44%distribution rate of divalent manganese(Mn^(2+))was observed at an optimal roasting temperature of 650℃,a roasting time of 25 min,and an H2 concentration of 20vol%;under these *** manganese predominantly existed in the form of *** study investigated the generation mechanism of manganosite based on the reduction kinetics,phase transformation,and structural evolution of pyrolusite and revealed that high temperature improved the distribution rate,and the optimal kinetic model for the reaction was the random nucleation and growth model(reaction order,n=3/2)with an activation energy(e_(a))of 24.1.9 kJ·mol^(−1..Throughout the mineral phase transformation,manganese oxide from the outer layer of particles moves inward to the *** addition,pyrolusite follows the reduction sequence of MnO_(2)→Mn_(2)O_(3)→Mn_(3)O_(4)→MnO,and the reduction of manganese oxides in each valence state simultaneously *** findings provide significant insight into the efficient and clean uti{1.zation of pyrolusite.

In this paper,we study the reliability-aware synthesis problem for composing available services automatically and guaranteeing that the composed result satisfies the specification,such as temporal constraints of functionality and reliability,centered on a synthesis model for mediator of web services composition (CSM).This approach focuses on handling attributes and state relations,and permitting users and services to operate over them,i.e.,read /write their data values and compare them according to a dense state *** show that the reliability-aware synthesis problem for the specification is eXPTIMe-complete and we give an exponential-time algorithm (CSM-NSA) which for a given formula ψ and a synthesis model,synthesizes available services in the library satisfying ψ over the synthesis model (if they exist) or responds with "not satisfiable" (otherwise).The specification ψ is a fragment of PCTL (probabilistic computation tree logic),obtained from "ordinary" CTL (computation tree logic) by replacing the eX,AX,eU and AU operation with their quantitative counterparts X >p,X =1.U >p,and U =1.*** opposed to NSA,we provide a more effective algorithm to replace the NSA algorithm called CSM-HSA (heuristic synthesis algorithm).Though HSA is an incomplete algorithm,the answer is *** experiments show that the HSA algorithm solves the problem of reliability-aware service synthesis effectively and efficiently.

Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(n-3 PUFAs),particularly docosahexaenoic acid(22:6n-3,DHA),play crucial roles in the reproductive health of vertebrates,including ***,the underlying mechanism related to this phenomenon remains largely *** this study,we employed two zebrafish genetic models,i.e.,elovl2^(-/-)mutant as an endogenous DHAdeficient model and fat1.omega-3 desaturase encoding gene)transgenic zebrafish as an endogenous DHA-rich model,to investigate the effects of DHA on oocyte maturation and *** show that the elovl2^(-/-)mutants had much lower fecundity and poorer oocyte qua{1.ty than the wild-type controls,while the fat1.zebrafish had higher fecundity and better oocyte qua{1.ty than wildtype *** deficiency in elovl2^(-/-)embryos led to defects in egg activation,poor microtubule stabi{1.ty,and reduced pregnenolone *** study revealed that DHA promoted pregnenolone synthesis by enhancing transcription of cyp1.a1.which encodes the cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme,thereby stabi{1.zing microtubule assembly during *** turn,the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis was enhanced by *** conclusion,using two unique genetic models,our findings demonstrate that endogenously synthesized DHA promotes oocyte maturation and qua{1.ty by promoting pregnenolone production via transcriptional regulation of cyp1.a1.
