Propylene carbonate(PC)-based electrolytes have exhibited significant advantages in boosting the low-temperature discharging of graphite-based li-ion ***,it is still unclear whether they can improve the charging property and suppress lithium *** this topic is challenging due to the problem of electrochemical *** overcome this issue,we introduced graphite with phase *** results show that the pouch-type full batteries using PC-based electrolyte exhibit steady performance over 500 cycles and can be reversibly charged over 30 times at-20℃ with an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.95%,while the corresponding value for the conventional ethylene carbonate(EC)-based electrolyte sample is only 31.20%.This indicates that the use of PC-based electrolyte significantly suppresses lithium plating during low-temperature *** further demonstrate that the improved performance is mainly attributed to the unique solvation structure,where PF-6more anions participate in solvation,leading to the formation of a stable F-rich solid state electrolyte interface on the graphite surface and a lower reduction tendency of li+*** work inspires new ideas for the design of PC-based electrolytes for low-temperature charging and fast-charging batteries.

Development and Catalytic Cracking Performance of Ultrastable Y Zeolite Rich in Secondary Pores

A novel ultra-stable zeolite, NSZ, rich in secondary pores was developed through the combination of gas-phase andmild hydrothermal methods. This zeolite was successfully tested in an industrial setting for the first time in the world. The porestructure characteristics of the NSZ zeolite prepared for industrial use were analyzed and characterized using BET. The resultsindicate a significant increase in the secondary pore volume of NSZ zeolite compared to the existing ultra-stable zeolite HSZ-5, which is produced through a conventional gas-phase method. The average secondary pore volume to total pore volume ratioin NSZ zeolite was found to be 58.96% higher. The catalytic cracking performance of NSZ zeolite was evaluated. The resultsshowed that the NSC-LTA catalyst, with NSZ as the active component, outperformed the HSC-LTA catalyst with HSZ-5 zeolitein terms of obtaining more high-value products (gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas) during the hydrogenated light cycle oilprocessing. Additionally, the NSC-LTA catalyst showed a significant improvement in coke selectivity.

As a key material for lithium metal batteries(LMBs),lithium metal is one of the most promising anode materials to break the bottleneck of battery energy density and a commonly used active material for reference *** lithium anodes are regarded as the holy grail of lithium batteries,decades of exploration have not led to the successful commercialization of LMBs,due mainly to the challenges related to the inherent properties of lithium *** pave the way for further investigation,herein,a comprehensive review focusing on the fundamental science of lithium are ***,the natures of lithium atoms and their isotopes,lithium clusters and lithium crystals are revisited,especially their structural and energetic ***,the electrochemical properties of lithium metal are *** important concepts and scientific questions,including the electronic structure of lithium,influence of high pressure and low temperature on the properties of lithium,factors influencing lithium deposition,generation of lithium dendrites,and electrode potential of lithium in different electrolytes,are explained and analyzed in *** to improve the performance of lithium anodes and thoughtfulness about the electrode potential in lithium battery research are proposed.

Modulating reversible isomerization of hydrophobic dyes in aqueous solutions is greatly desired. Here we report on reversible isomerization of solvatochromic donor-acceptor Stenhouse adducts(DASAs) in water through the confinement from dendritic oligoethylene glycols(OEGs). Dendronization of DASAs with dendritic OEGs affords them characteristic thermoresponsiveness. These dendronized DASAs spontaneously isomerize in water from hydrophobic linear state into hydrophilic cyclic state at room temperature due to the strong hydration. However, hydrophobic microenvironment through thermally dehydration and collapse of the dendritic OEGs at elevated temperatures confines hydration of the DASA moieties and mediates their interactions with the collapsed hydrophobic OEG domains, affording their isomerization recovery in water efficiently from the hydrophilic cyclic state into the hydrophobic linear state. The confinement-mediated reversible isomerization of DASA moieties in water can be repeated through alternative photo-irradiation and thermal dehydrations, exhibiting excellent fatigue resistance.

Climate change alters snowpack evolution,which in turn influences the likelihood of snow avalanches and flood *** lack of systemic observational data on key snow characteristics in high mountains remains a scientific challenge in terms of systematically elucidating the dynamic chain of variations in climate-snowpack-snow *** restricts our understanding and poses challenges in the prediction of snow-related disaster *** such,this study analysed the variations of temperature and snowfall and the physical characteristics of snowpacks based on ground-based observations from the Kunse River Valley situated in the Tianshan Mountains from 1967 to *** results reveal that the temperature increased significantly by 0.32°C per decade(ping the snow season,along with more extreme snowfall *** snow-cover duration was observed to have been shortened by 4.77 d per decade(pich is characterised by later snow-cover onset and earlier ***,average and maximum snow depths increased along with an increase in peak snow water equivalent,thus indicating a higher frequency of extremely scarce or abundant snow *** low snowpack temperature gradient and earlier snowmelt dates in spring lead to earlier occurrences of snowmelt floods and wet *** the risks of these events increase,they pose greater threats to farmlands,road transportation,water-electricity infrastructure and several other human ***,these insights are critical for providing vital information that can deepen our understanding of the impact of climate change on snowpack characteristics and improve management strategies for snow-related disaster prevention and mitigation.

Hybrid Power-line/Visible-light Communication(HPVC)network has been one of the most promising Cooperative Communication(CC)technologies for constructing Smart Home due to its superior communication reliability and hardware *** research on HPVC networks focuses on the performance analysis and optimization of the Physical(PHY)layer,where the Power line Communication(PLC)component only serves as the backbone to provide power to light Emitting Diode(LED)*** designing a Media Access Control(MAC)protocol remains a great challenge because it allows both PLC and Visible light Communication(VLC)components to operate data transmission,i.e.,to achieve a true HPVC network *** solve this problem,we propose a new HPC network MAC protocol(HPVC MAC)based on Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance(CSMA/CA)by combining iEEE 802.15.7 and iEEE 1901 ***,we add an Additional Assistance(AA)layer to provide the channel selection strategies for sensor stations,so that they can complete data transmission on the selected channel via the specified CSMA/CA mechanism,*** on this,we give a detailed working principle of the HPVC MAC,followed by the construction of a joint analytical model for mathematicalmathematical validation of the HPVC *** the modeling process,the impacts of PHY layer settings(including channel fading types and additive noise feature),CSMA/CA mechanisms of 802.15.7 and 1901,and practical configurations(such as traffic rate,transit buffer size)are comprehensively taken into ***,we prove the proposed analytical model has the ***,through extensive simulations,we characterize the HPVC MAC performance under different system parameters and verify the correctness of the corresponding analytical model with an average error rate of 4.62%between the simulation and analytical results.

Gut microbiota intervention attenuates thermogenesis in broilers exposed to high temperature through modulation of the hypothalamic 5‑HT pathway

in order to clarify the fatigue damage evolution of concrete exposed to flexural fatigue loads,ultrasonic pulse velocity(UPV),impact-echo technology and surface electrical resistance(SR) method were *** variable based on the change of velocity of ultrasonic pulse(Du) and impact elastic wave(Di)were defined according to the classical damage *** influences of stress level,loading frequency and concrete strength on damage variable were *** experimental results show that Du and Di both present a three-stages trend for concrete exposed to fatigue *** impact elastic wave is more sensitive to the microstructure damage in stage Ⅲ,the critical damage variable,i e,the damage variable before the final fracture of concrete of Di is slightly higher than that of ***,the evolution of SR of concrete exposed to fatigue loads were analyzed and the relationship between SR and Du,SR and Di of concrete exposed to fatigue loads were *** is found that the SR of concrete was decreased with the increasing fatigue cycles,indicating that surface electrical resistance method can also be applied to describe the damage of ballastless track concrete exposed to fatigue loads.
