BACKGROUND Surgical resection and liver transplantation(LT)are the most effective curative options for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,few patients with huge HCC(>10 cm in diameter),especially those with portal vein tumor thrombus(PVTT),can receive these *** internal radiation therapy(SIRT)can be used as a conversion therapy for them because it has the dual benefit of shrinking tumors and increasing residual hepatic ***,in patients with huge HCC,high lung absorbed dose often prevents them from receiving *** SUMMARY A 35-year-old man was admitted because of emaciation and pain in the hepatic region for about 1 *** computed tomography scan showed a 20.2 cm×19.8 cm tumor located in the right lobe–left medial lobes with right portal vein and right hepatic vein *** the pathological type of HCC was confirmed by biopsy,two conversions were *** first one was drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization plus hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy and lenvatinib and sintilimab,converted to SIRT,and the second one was sequential SIRT with continued systemic *** tumor size significantly decreased from 20.2 cm×19.8 cm to 16.2 cm×13.8 cm,then sequentially to 7.8 cm×6.8 *** the meantime,the ratio of spared volume to total liver volume increased gradually from 34.4%to 55.7%,then to 62.9%.Furthermore,there was visualization of the portal vein,indicating regression of the tumor ***,owing to the new tumor in the left lateral lobe,the patient underwent LT instead of resection without major *** Patients with inoperable huge HCC with PVTT could be converted to SIRT first and accept surgery sequentially.

SEI/dead li-turning capacity loss for high-performance anode-free solid-state lithium batteries

Anode-free solid-state lithium metal batteries(AF-SSLBs)have the potential to deliver higher energy density and improved safety beyond lithium-metal ***,the unclear mechanism for the fast capacity decay in AF-SSLBs,either determined by dead li or solid electrolyte interface(SEI),limits the proposal of effective strategies to prolong cycling *** clarify the underlying mechanism,herein,the evolution of SEI and dead li is quantitatively analyzed by a solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(ss-NMR)technology in a typical liPF6-based polymer *** results show that the initial capacity loss is attributed to the formation of SEI,while the dead li dominates the following capacity loss and the growth rate is 0.141 mA h cm^(−2)cycle−*** reduce the active li loss,the combination of inorganic-rich SEI and self-healing electrostatic shield effect is proposed to improve the reversibility of li deposition/dissolution behavior,which reduces the capacity loss rate for the initial SEI and following dead li generation by 2.3 and 20.1 folds,*** a result,the initial Coulombic efficiency(ICE)and stable CE increase by 15.1%and 15.3%in li-Cu cells,which guides the rational design of high-performance AF-SSLBs.

Study on the influence of side-blown airflow velocities on plasma and combustion wave generated from fused silica induced by combined pulse laser

This study examines the impact of variations in side-blowing airflow velocity on plasma generation,combustion wave propagation mechanisms,and surface damage in fused silica induced by a combined millisecond-nanosecond pulsed *** airflow rate and pulse delay are the main experimental *** evolution of plasma motion was recorded using ultrafast time-resolved optical *** experimental results demonstrate that the expansion velocities of the plasma and combustion wave are influenced differently by the sideblowing airflow at different airflow rates(0.2 Ma,0.4 Ma,and 0.6 Ma).As the flow rate of the sideblow air stream increases,the initial expansion velocities of the plasma and combustion wave gradually decrease,and the side-blow air stream increasingly suppresses the *** is important to note that the target vapor is always formed and ionized into plasma during the combined pulse laser ***,the side-blown airflow alone cannot completely clear the *** on the delay conditions,the pressure of the side-blowing airflow,the influence of inverse Bremsstrahlung radiation absorption and target surface absorption mechanisms can lead to a phenomenon known as the double combustion waves when using a nanosecond pulse *** simulation and experimental results are consistent,indicating the potential for further exploration of fused silica targets in the laser field.

We propose a method for producing composite materials(hTNO@C60) comprising crystalline C60particles and hollow-structu red TiNb2O7（hTNO） nanofibers via facile liquid-liquid interface precipitation followed by low-temperature *** allows the systematic design of crystalline C60as an active material for li-ion battery *** hTNO@C60composite demonstrates outstanding cyclic stability,retaining a capacity of 465 mA h g-1after 1,000 cycles at 1 A g-1It maintains a capacity of 98 mA h g-1even after16,000 ultralong cycles at 8 A g-1The enhancement in electrochemical properties is attributed to the successful growth and uniform doping of crystalline C60,resulting in improved electrical *** excellent electrochemical stability and properties of these composites make them promising anode materials.

Theoretical Design of Defects as a Driving Force for Ion Transport in li_(3)OBr Solid Electrolyte

Due to ever-increasing concerns about safety issues in using li ionic batteries,solid electrolytes have extensively *** li-rich antiperovskite li_(3)OBr has been considered as a promising solid electrolyte candidate,but it still suffers challenges to achieve a high ionic conductivity owing to the high intrinsic symmetry of the crystal ***,we presented a design strategy that introduces various point defects and grain boundaries to break the high lattice symmetry of li_(3)OBr crystal,and their effect and microscopic mechanism of promoting the migration of li-ion were explored *** has been found that li_(i)are the dominant defects responsible for the fast li-ion diffusion in bulk li_(3)OBr and its surface,but they are easily trapped by the grain boundaries,leading to the annihilating of the Frenkel defect pair V'_(li)+li_(i),and thus limits the V'_(li)diffusion at the grain *** V_(Br)defect near the grain boundaries can effectively drive V'_(li)across the grain boundary,thereby converting the carrier of li^(+)migration from li,in the bulk and surface to V'_(li)at the grain boundary,and thus improving the ionic conductivity in the whole li_(3)OBr *** work provides a comprehensive insight into the li^(+)transport and conduction mechanism in the li_(3)OBr *** opens a new way of improving the conductivity for all-solid-state li electrolyte material through the defect design.

A dose-escalation and expansion,phase 1/2 study(***,NCT04818333)was conducted to assess the novel antibodydrug conjugate SHR-A1811 in pretreated HER2-altered advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Here,we report results from the phase 1 *** who had previously failed or were intolerant to platinum-based chemotherapy were enrolled and received SHR-A1811 intravenously at doses of 3.2 to 8.0 mg/kg every 3 *** escalation followed a Bayesian logistic regression model that included overdose control,with subsequent selection of tolerable levels for dose ***,63 patients were enrolled,including 43 receiving a recommended dose for expansion of 4.8 mg/*** patients had HER2-mutant ***-limiting toxicity occurred in one patient in the 8.0 mg/kg dose ***≥3 treatment-related adverse events occurred in 29(46.0%)*** patient in the 6.4 mg/kg cohort died due to interstitial lung *** of April 11,2023,the 4.8 mg/kg cohort showed an objective response rate of 41.9%(95%Cl 27.0-57.9),and a disease control rate of 95.3%(95%Cl 84.2-99.4).The median duration of response was 13.7 months,with 13 of 18 responses *** median progression-free survival was 8.4 months(95%CI 7.1-15.0).SHR-A1811 demonstrated favourable safety and clinically meaningful efficacy in pretreated advanced HER2-mutantNSCLC.

Synergy effect of regulated li-plating and functional solid electrolyte interphase on graphite anodes

The growth of li dendrites poses potential safety hazard to lithium-ion batteries(liBs),and eliminating li dendrites thoroughly stills face tough difficulties ***,regulating li-plating is a critical optimization-direction to address the ***,a“graphite-li hybrid”anode with high reversibility is realized under the constant-capacity lithiation(CCL).Within CCL,the uniform distribution of li-plating on the graphite surface is successfully *** evolution in different states of solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)is investigated in detail to study the interaction between the potentials and impedance during the process of liintercalation and *** the potential below 0 V and the state of charge(SOC)of 110%relative to the theoretical capacity,the F-rich SEI with high stability is constructed to hinder the emergency of li dendrites and maintain the intact structure of graphite anode under long *** cell presents more than 100%Coulombic efficiency(CE)with the 900 cycles,demonstrating the reversible li-plating and the utilization of *** the CCL half-cell provides a good cycling performance and specific capacity of 900 cycles at 0.5 C,it is attributed to the synergy effect of stable inorganic-rich SEI and regulated active li-plating.

Young patient with a giant gastric bronchogenic cyst:A case report and review of literature

BACKGROUND Gastric bronchogenic cysts(BCs)are extremely rare cystic masses caused by abnormal development of the respiratory system during the embryonic *** bronchial cysts are rare lesions that were first reported in 1956;as of 2023,only 33 cases are available in the PubMed online *** usually have no clinical symptoms in the early stage,and imaging findings also lack ***,they are difficult to diagnose before histopathological *** SUMMARY A 34-year-old woman with respiratory distress presented at our *** ultrasound revealed an anechoic mass between the spleen,left kidney and gastric fundus,with hyperechogenic and soft elastography textures and with a size of approximately 6.5 cm×4.0 ***,a computed tomography scan demonstrated high density between the posterior stomach and the spleen and the left kidney,with uniform internal density and a small amount of *** maximum cross section was approximately 10.1 cm×6.1 cm,and the possibility of a cyst was *** the imaging findings did not suggest a malignancy and because the patient required complete resection,she underwent laparotomy ***,this cystic lesion was found to be located in the posterior wall of the large curvature of the fundus and was approximately 8 cm×6 cm in ***,the pathologists verified that the cyst in the fundus was a gastric *** patient recovered well,her symptoms of chest tightness disappeared,and the abdominal drain was removed on postoperative day 6,after which she was discharged on day 7 for 6 months of *** had no tumor recurrence or postoperative complications during the *** This is a valuable report as it describes an extremely rare case of gastric ***,this was a very young patient with a large BC in the stomach.
