Vertically aligned montmorillonite aerogel-encapsulated polyethylene glycol with directional heat transfer paths for efficient solar thermal energy harvesting and storage

The conversion and storage of photothermal energy using phase change materials(PCMs)represent an optimal approach for harnessing clean and sustainable solar ***,we encapsulated polyethylene glycol(PEG)in montmorillonite aerogels(3D-Mt)through vacuum impregnation to prepare 3D-Mt/PEG composite *** used as a support matrix,3D-Mt can effectively prevent PEG leakage and act as a flame-retardant barrier to reduce the flammability of ***,3D-Mt/PEG demonstrates outstanding shape retention,increased thermal energy storage density,and commendable thermal and chemical *** phase transition enthalpy of 3D-Mt/PEG can reach 167.53 J/g and remains stable even after 50 heating-cooling ***,the vertical sheet-like structure of 3D-Mt establishes directional heat transport channels,facilitating efficient phonon *** configuration results in highly anisotropic thermal conductivities that ensure swift thermal responses and efficient heat *** study addresses the shortcomings of PCMs,including the issues of leakage and inadequate flame *** achieves the development and design of 3D-Mt/PEG with ultrahigh strength,superior flame retardancy,and directional heat ***,this work offers a design strategy for the preparation of high-performance composite *** 3D-Mt/PEG with vertically aligned and well-ordered array structure developed in this research shows great potential for thermal management and photothermal conversion applications.

Effectiveness of Acupoint Application in Patients with Pharyngeal Pain: Evidence from CHUNBO, A Prospective Real-World Study

Objective: To assess the outcomes after acupoint application in patients with pharyngeal pain in a real-world settings, and analyze the characteristics of effective population and prescription characteristics of acupoint application. Methods: Based on CHUNBO platform, patients with pharyngeal pain who were candidates for acupoint application on the basis of physician-evaluation, were enrolled in a nationwide, prospective, 69-week multicenter observational study from August 2020 to February 2022. Propensity score matching(PSM) was used to match the confounding factors and the association rules were used to analyze the characteristics of effective population and prescription characteristics of acupoint application. Outcome assessments included the disappearance rate of pharyngeal pain(within 3, 7, and 14 days), disappearance time of pharyngeal pain, as well as adverse events. Results: Of 7,699 enrolled participants, 6,693(86.9%) received acupoint application and 1,450(21.7%) with non-acupoint application. After PSM, there were 1,004 patients each in the application group(AG) and non-application group(NAG). The disappearance rate of pharyngeal pain in the AG at 3, 7, and 14 days were all higher than those in the NAG(Plication group with tonsil diseases was 2.19 times higher than that in the NAG(Plied to RN 8 most frequently(support 84.39%). Nowadays,the majority of the studies on the substitution are focused on cations(such as Y^(3+),Ti^(4+),P^(5+),etc.)in li_(1.3)Al_(0.3)Ti_(1.7)(PO_(4))_(3)(LATP),while there are few studies on the substitution of anion O^(2-).In this work,the modified LATP with a series of liCl(LATPClx,x=0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4)additives is prepared to enhance ionic *** successful introduction of Cl-makes the length of the c axis decrease from 20.822(2)to 20.792(1)Å,and the bulk conductivity of 2.13×10^(-3) S·cm^(-1) is achieved in LATPCl_(0.3).Moreover,the Al/Ti-O1/Cl1 and Al/Ti-O_(2)/Cl_(2) distance decrease,while the li1-O_(2)/Cl_(2) distance *** ions migrate more easily in the nanochannel of *** addition,the liCl additive increases the relative density and the grain boundary conductivity of LATPClx ***,a higher ionic conductivity of 2.12×10^(–4) S·cm^(-1) and a low activation energy of 0.30 eV are obtained in LATPCl_(0.3).Correspondingly,the symmetric cell exhibits a low overpotential of±50 mV for over 200 h in LATPCl_(0.3).The solid-state li|LATPCl_(0.3)|NCM811(NCM811=liNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O_(2))battery exhibits high initial capacity 185.1 mAh·g^(-1) with a capacity retention rate of 95.4%after 100 cycles at 0.5 *** result suggests that liCl additive is an effective strategy to promote electrochemical properties of LATP solid electrolyte and can be considered for reference to other inorganic solid electrolytes systems.

Evaluation of water management on arsenic methylation and volatilization in arsenic-contaminated soils strengthened by bioaugmentation and biostimulation

Arsenic(As) fate in paddy fields has been one of the most significant current issues due to the strong As accumulation potential of rice plants under fooded conditions. However,no attempt was done to explore As methylation and volatilization under non-fooded conditions. Herein, we investigated the effects of water management on As methylation and volatilization in three arsenic-contaminated soils enhanced by biostimulation with strawderived organic matter and bioaugmentation with genetic engineered Pseudomonas putida KT2440(GE P. putida). Under fooded conditions, the application of biochar(BC), rice straw(RS)and their combination(BC+RS) increased total As in porewater. However, these effects were greatly attenuated under non-fooded conditions. Compared with RS amendment alone, the combination of GE P. putida and RS further promoted the As methylation and volatilization,and the promotion percentage under non-fooded conditions were significantly higher than that under fooded conditions. The combined GE P. putida and RS showed the highest efficiency in As methylation(88 μg/L) and volatilization(415.4 μg/(kg·year)) in the non-fooded soil with moderate As contamination. Finally, stepwise multiple linear regression analysis presented that methylated As, DOC and p H in porewater were the most important factors contributing to As volatilization. Overall, our findings suggest that combination of bioaugmentation with GE P. putida and biostimulation with RS/BC+RS is a potential strategy for bioremediation of arsenic-contaminated soils by enhancing As methylation and volatilization under non-fooded conditions.

On the low cycle fatigue behaviour of an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy processed via non-isothermal ageing

The low cycle fatigue behaviour of an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy processed via non-isothermal ageing(NIA)was examined at different strain *** showed that NIA improved the low cycle fatigue life(more than 7000 cycles)by optimising the precipitate configuration within 5.5 h while maintaining comparable mechanical properties(570 MPa for tensile strength)and conductivity(nearly 39%IACS)to conventional isothermal ageing,*** observation combined with molecular dynamic simula-tion revealed that precipitation configuration manipulated by NIA had a crucial effect on fatigue resis-tance.A great number of repeatedly sheared and locally destructed GP zones enhanced co-planar slip and slip localisation in the under-aged alloy during the early stage of NIA,responsible for the dramatic displacement steps on the surface and resultant poor fatigue *** the NIA further proceeded,moderately coarsened precipitates with an average dimension of 6.0 nm and elevated number density ef-fectively impeded the dislocation movement and weaken the slip localisation to a great extent,improving the fatigue performance within a few hours.

Direct conversion of syngas to aromatics over metal oxide and zeolite(OXZEO) composite catalysts is ***,the selectivity of more valuable products such as benzene,toluene and xylenes(BTX) is limited due to undesired secondary methylation of ***,we report that the introduction of SAPO-34 into MnCrO_(x)-ZSM-5 catalyst enhances significantly the formation of BTX without sacrificing the aromatics *** optimized conditions,the fraction of BTX in aromatics reaches 64.7% versus 28.9% over the catalyst without SAPO-34.A number of model reaction tests and characterizations reveal that SAPO-34 consumes partially the intermediates such as ketene,by converting them to light ***,the methylation of BTX by ketene to heavy aromatics is inhibited over the external acid sites of ZSM-5,leading to an enhanced BTX selectivity in the *** hybrid catalyst provides an efficient method for highly selective synthesis of BTX from syngas.

SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line： in vitro cell model of dopaminergic neurons in Parkinson＇s disease

Objective To evaluate the human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cell line as an in vitro model of dopaminergic （DAergic） neurons for Parkinson＇s disease （PD） research and to determine the effect of differentiation on this cell model. Date sources The data of this review were selected from the original reports and reviews related to SH-SY5Y cells published in Chinese and foreign journals （Pubmed 1973 to 2009）. Study selection After searching the literature, 60 articles were selected to address this review. Results The SH-SY5Y cell line has become a popular cell model for PD research because this cell line posses many characteristics of DAergic neurons. For example, these cells express tyrosine hydroxylase and dopamine-13-hydroxylase, as well as the dopamine transporter. Moreover, this cell line can be differentiated into a functionally mature neuronal phenotype in the presence of various agents. Upon differentiation, SH-SY5Y cells stop proliferating and a constant cell number is subsequently maintained. However, different differentiating agents induce different neuronal phenotypes and biochemical changes. For example, retinoic acid induces differentiation toward a cholinergic neuronal phenotype and increases the susceptibility of SH-SY5Y cells to neurotoxins and neuroprotective agents, whereas treatment with retinoic acid followed by phorbol ester 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate results in a DAergic neuronal phenotype and decreases the susceptibility of cells to neurotoxins and neuroprotective agents. Some differentiating agents also alter kinetics of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-pyridinium （MPP~） uptake, making SH-SY5Y cells more similar to primary mesencephalic neurons. Conclusions Differentiated and undifferentiated SH-SY5Y cells have been widely used as a cell model of DAergic neurons for PD research. Some differentiating agents afford SH-SY5Y cells with more potential for studying neurotoxiclty and neuroprotection and are thus more relevant to experimental PD research.
