Nowadays,the rapid development of the social economy inevitably leads to global energy and environmental *** this reason,more and more scholars focus on the development of photocatalysis and/or electrocatalysis technology for the advantage in the sustainable production of high-value-added products,and the high efﬁciency in pollutants *** there is plenty of outstanding research has been put forward continuously,most of them focuses on catalysis performance and reaction mechanisms in laboratory *** industrial application of photo/electrocatalytic processes is still a challenge that needs to be overcome by social *** this regard,this review comprehensively summarized several explorations in theﬁeld of photo/electrocatalytic reduction towards potential industrial applications in recent *** attention is paid to the successful attempts and the current status of photo/electrocatalytic water splitting,carbon dioxide conversion,resource utilization from waste,etc.,by using advanced *** key problems and challenges of photo/electrocatalysis in future industrial practice are also discussed,and the possible development directions are also pointed out from the industry view.

Identification and anatomy of oceanic arcs within ancient orogenic belt are significant for better understanding the tectonic framework and closure process of paleo-ocean *** article summarizes the geological,geochemical,and geochronological characteristics of upper crust of Proto-Tethyan Lajishan intra-oceanic arc and provides new data to constrain the subduction evolution of the South Qilian *** intra-oceanic arc volcanic rocks,including intermediate-mafic lava,breccia,tuff,and minor felsic rocks,are distributed along southern part of the Lajishan ophiolite *** and isotopic compositions indicate that the intermediate-mafic lava were originated from depleted mantle contaminated by sediment melts or hydrous fluids,whereas the felsic rocks were likely generated by partial melting of juvenile mafic crust in intra-oceanic arc *** from felsic rocks yield consistent and concordant ages ranging from 506 to 523 Ma,suggesting these volcanic rocks represent the relicts of upper crust of the cambrian intra-oceanic *** with the cambrian forearc ophiolite and accretionary complex,we suggest that the cambrian intra-oceanic arc in the Lajishan ophiolite belt is belonging to the intra-oceanic arc system which was generated by south-directed subduction in the South Qilian Ocean at a relatively short interval between approximately 530 and 480 Ma.

In this paper,a multirate time iterative scheme with multiphysics finite element method is proposed and analyzed for the nonlinear poroelasticity *** original problem is reformulated into a generalized nonlinear Stokes problem coupled with a diffusion problem of a pseudo pressure field by a new multiphysics approach.A multiphysics finite element method is adopted for the spatial discretization,and the generalized nonlinear Stokes problem is solved in a coarse time step and the diffusion problem is solved in a finer time *** proposed algorithm is a decoupled algorithm,which is easily implemented in computation and reduces greatly computation *** stability analysis and the convergence analysis for the multirate iterative scheme with multiphysics finite element method are *** numerical tests are shown to demonstrate and validate the analysis results.

The lungs were long thought to be sterile until technical advances uncovered the presence of the lung microbial *** microbiome of healthy lungs is mainly derived from the upper respiratory tract(URT)microbiome but also has its own characteristic *** selection mechanisms in the lung,including clearance by coughing,pulmonary macrophages,the oscillation of respiratory cilia,and bacterial inhibition by alveolar surfactant,keep the microbiome transient and mobile,which is different from the microbiome in other *** pulmonary bacteriome has been intensively studied recently,but relatively little research has focused on the mycobiome and *** up-to-date review retrospectively summarizes the lung microbiome’s history,composition,and *** focus on the interaction of the lung microbiome with the oropharynx and gut microbiome and emphasize the role it plays in the innate and adaptive immune *** importantly,we focus on multiple respiratory diseases,including asthma,chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(cOPD),fibrosis,bronchiectasis,and *** impact of the lung microbiome on coronavirus disease 2019(cOVID-19)and lung cancer has also been comprehensively ***,by summarizing the therapeutic potential of the lung microbiome in lung diseases and examining the shortcomings of the field,we propose an outlook of the direction of lung microbiome research.

Record-breaking High-temperature Outlook for 2023: An Assessment Based on the china Global Merged Temperature(cMST) Dataset

According to the latest version(version 2.0) of the china global Merged Surface Temperature(cMST2.0) dataset, the global mean surface temperature(GMST) in the first half of 2023 reached its third warmest value since the period of instrumental observation began, being only slightly lower than the values recorded in 2016 and 2020, and historically record-breaking GMST emerged from May to July 2023. Further analysis also indicates that if the surface temperature in the last five months of 2023 approaches the average level of the past five years, the annual average surface temperature anomaly in 2023 of approximately 1.26°c will break the previous highest surface temperature, which was recorded in 2016of approximately 1.25°c(both values relative to the global pre-industrialization period, i.e., the average value from 1850 to1900). With El Ni?o triggering a record-breaking hottest July, record-breaking average annual temperatures will most likely become a reality in 2023.

Mechanical behaviour of fiber-reinforced grout in rock bolt reinforcement

Grouted rock bolts subject to axial loading in the field exhibit various failure modes,among which the most predominant one is the bolt-grout interface ***,mechanical characterization of the grout is essential for understanding its performance in ground *** date,few studies have been conducted to characterize the mechanical behaviour of fiber-reinforced grout(FRG)in rock bolt *** we experimentally studied the mechanical behaviour of FRG under uniaxial compression,indirect tension,and direct shear loading *** also conducted a series of pullout tests of rebar bolt encapsulated with different grouts including conventional cementitious grout and *** was developed using 15%silica fume(SF)replacement of cement(by weight)and steel fiber to achieve highstrength and crack-resistance to overcome drawbacks of the conventional *** types of steel fibers including straight and wavy steel fibers were further added to enhance the grout *** effect of fiber shape and fiber volume proportion on the grout mechanical properties were *** experimental results showed that the addition of SF and steel fiber by 1.5%fiber volume proportion could lead to the highest compressive,tensile,and shear strengths of the *** minimum volume of fiber that could improve the mechanical properties of grout was found at 0.5%.The scanning electron microscopy(SEM)analysis demonstrated that steel fibers act as an excellent bridge to prevent the cracks from propagating at the interfacial region and hence to aid in maintaining the integrity of the cementitious *** laboratory pullout tests further confirmed that FRG could prevent the cylindrical grout annulus from radial crack and hence improve the rebar’s load carrying ***,FRG has a potential to be utilized in civil and mining applications where high-strength and crack-resistance support is required.

cerium oxide inclusion nucleation mechanism based on classical nucleation theory and two-step nucleation

It is challenging to assess the mechanism responsible for the nucleation of inclusions in metals at high *** present work therefore systematically investigates the nucleation of cerium oxide inclusions according to classical nucleation theory and a two-step nucleation *** nucleation rates and nucleation radii of these inclusions are obtained,and the results demonstrate a considerable difference between theoretical and experimental *** the basis of a two-step nucleation mechanism,(ceO_(2))_(n) and(ce_(2)O_(3))_(n)(n=1-6)clusters were constructed and the thermodynamic properties of both these clusters and of cerium oxide nanoparticles were *** addition,the entropies and heat capacity changes of cerium oxides were determined using first principles calculations and are found to be consistent with literature *** present data indicate that the cerium oxide inclusion nucleation pathway can be summarized as[ce]+[O]→(ceO_(2))n/(ce_(2)O_(3))_(n)→(ce_(2)O_(3))_(n)→(ce_(2)O_(3))_(2)→core(ce_(2)O_(3)crystal)-shell((ce_(2)O_(3))_(2) cluster)nanoparticles→(ce_(2)O_(3))bulk.

Efficient and selective recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)via polyethyleneimine modification of lanthanum-based metal-organic frameworks

With the development of the economy and the increasing demand for environmental protection,the efficient and selective recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)from actual wastewater is of critical *** this work,lanthanum-based metal-organic framework(LaBDc)materials were prepared by a hydrothermal method,and then polyethyleneimine(PEI)and LaBDc were combined by an impregnation method to form a novel LaBDc@xPEI *** prepared materials were characterized using Fourier transfo rm infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),B runauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Experiments show that LaBDc@50%PEI has the highest adsorption capacity(181.77 mg/g)among lanthanum-based MOFs with different PEI loadings at pH=5.5,which is about 5.1 times that of bare *** adsorption isotherm analysis shows that LaBDc@50%PEI follows the Langmuir *** addition,the adsorption kinetics of LaBDc@50%PEI follows a pseudo-second-order kinetic model,indicating that the adsorption process is chemical *** is worth noting that LaBDc@50%PEI maintains good adsorption performance and stability after three recycling tests,and exhibits excellent selectivity in cation interference ***,the LaBDc@50%PEI composites possess good stability and hold great promises in rapid recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)from practical aqueous environments.
