Effective background infusion rate of ropivacaine 0.2% for patient-controlled interscalene brachial plexus analgesia after rotator cuff repair surgery

Background Continuous interscalene nerve block （CISB） is considered to be the most effective method for postoperative analgesia after shoulder surgery with prolonged severe *** study was performed to evaluate the minimum effective background infusion rate and the effective background infusion rate of ropivacaine 0.2％ for CISB after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair surgery in 95％ of *** Patients scheduled for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair surgery under general anesthesia at Peking University Third Hospital were prospectively enrolled from December 2011 to May ***,an interscalene catheter （ISC） was placed under the guidance of ultrasound and nerve stimulation in each ***,30 patients with successful nerve block were included.A continuous infusion of ropivacaine 0.2％ with a 5 ml patient-controlled bolus available hourly was started at postoperative anesthesia care unit （PACU） after completion of *** initial background infusion rate was 6 ml/h,which was subsequently varied for each consecutive patient according to the analgesic effects of the previous *** minimum effective background rate was determined using the Dixon and Massey up-and-down *** effective background rate in 95％ of patients was calculated using isotonic *** The minimum effective background rate based on the Dixon and Massey up-and-down method was 2.8 ml/h （95％ CI,2.3-3.3 ml/h）.The effective background rate in 95％ of patients calculated with the isotonic regression analysis was 4.4 ml/h （95％ CI,3.8-6.5 ml/h）.Conclusion The effective background rate for patient-controlled interscalene brachial plexus analgesia after shoulder surgery in 50％ and 95％ of the patients was 2.8 and 4.4 ml/h,respectively.

Improvement of Theme Park Marketing Mode:A Case Study of Theme Parks in Chengdu

Construction of theme park has been launched since the early 1990s in Chengdu City,but ended up as a losing proposition after its short-term prosperity because of similar scale and similarity with those in other *** more international well-known theme parks entering the market,theme parks in Chengdu have been faced with the transition,and novel concepts are also introduced into the operation of these *** adapt to the market,it is imperative to make marketing strategies and combine marketing *** analyzing current development of local theme parks and introducing successful marketing modes of domestic and overseas theme parks,a favorable marketing mode for theme parks in Chengdu was defined on the basis of fully exploring Ba-Shu culture(Ba and Shu are two ancient kingdoms in the history of Sichuan).By defining a favorable theme,focusing more on visitors'experience,devoting more in developing new products,adopting flexible price strategies,and integrating advertisement marketing,internet marketing,and other marketing methods,outstanding brands will be formed,and tourism cultures with distinguished features of Chengdu will be created.

The Antarctic Ice Sheet(AIS)has been losing ice mass and contributing to global sea level rise(GSLR).Given its mass that is enough to cause~58 m of GSLR,accurate estimation of mass balance trend is critical for AIS mass loss monitoring and sea level rise ***,we present an improved approach to reconciled solutions of mass balance in AIS and its regions from multiple contributing solutions using the input-out,altimetric,and gravimetric *** comparison to previous methods,such as IMBIE 2018,this approach utilizes an adaptive data aggregation window to handle the heterogeneity of the contributing solutions,including the number of solutions,temporal distributions,uncertainties,and estimation *** improved the regression-based method by using a two-step procedure that establishes ensembled solutions within each method(input-output,altimetry,or gravimetry)and then estimates the method-independent reconciled *** the first time,16contributing solutions from 8 Chinese institutions are used to estimate the reconciled mass balance of AIS and its regions from1996 to *** results show that AIS has lost a total ice mass of~3213±253 Gt during the period,an equivalent of~8.9±0.7 mm of *** is a sustained mass loss acceleration since 2006,from 88.1±3.6 Gt yr^(-1)during 1996–2005 to 130.7±8.4 Gt yr^(-1)during 2006–2013 and further to 157.0±9.0 Gt yr^(-1)during 2014–*** mass loss signal in the West Antarctica and Antarctic Peninsula is dominant and clearly presented in the reconciled estimation and contributing solutions,regardless of estimation methods used and fluctuation of surface mass *** and challenges remain in mass balance estimation in East *** reconciled estimation approach can be extended and applied for improved mass balance estimation in the Greenland Ice Sheet and mountain glacier regions.

Aluminum alloy is the main structural material of aircraft,launch vehicle,spaceship,and space station and is processed by ***,tool wear and vibration are the bottlenecks in the milling process of aviation aluminum *** machining accuracy and surface quality of aluminum alloy milling depend on the cutting parameters,material mechanical properties,machine tools,and other *** particular,milling force is the crucial factor to determine material removal and workpiece surface ***,establishing the prediction model of milling force is important and difficult because milling force is the result of multiparameter coupling of process *** research progress of cutting force model is reviewed from three modeling methods:empirical model,finite element simulation,and instantaneous milling force *** problems of cutting force modeling are also *** view of these problems,the future work direction is proposed in the following four aspects:(1)high-speed milling is adopted for the thin-walled structure of large aviation with large cutting depth,which easily produces high residual *** residual stress should be analyzed under this particular condition.(2)Multiple factors(e.g.,eccentric swing milling parameters,lubrication conditions,tools,tool and workpiece deformation,and size effect)should be considered comprehensively when modeling instantaneous milling forces,especially for micro milling and complex surface machining.(3)The database of milling force model,including the corresponding workpiece materials,working condition,cutting tools(geometric figures and coatings),and other parameters,should be established.(4)The effect of chatter on the prediction accuracy of milling force cannot be ignored in thin-walled workpiece milling.(5)The cutting force of aviation aluminum alloy milling under the condition of minimum quantity lubrication(mql)and nanofluid mql should be predicted.

Recycling millions of metric tons of spent liFePO_(4) batteries would benefit human health while reducing resource depletion and environmental ***,recovering individual elements from the spent batteries without generating waste is ***,we present a distinctive approach for recycling spent liFePO_(4) batteries at room temperature,where water is the only leaching agent ***_(4) and lithium intercalated graphite act as a precursor material for selectively extracting lithium,iron,and phosphorus through charging the liFePO_(4) batteries to the delithiated *** solution extracted Fe from FePO_(4) within 30 min and regenerated without consumption,similar to a *** the optimal leaching conditions(1 mol·L^(-1) NaOH,0.5 h,NaOH/Fe molar ratio of 4.5),Fe and P leaching efficiencies achieved 89.1%and 99.2%,*** methodology reflected in this research reduced the material cost per kg cathode material to a fraction of previously published reports,only occupies 6.13%of previous *** addition,the method improved the battery recycling revenue calculated by the EverBatt model by 2.31 times and 1.94 times over pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical *** proposed method allows for the convenient recovery of the elemental components of spent liFePO_(4) batteries.

Blunt Traumatic Pericardial Rupture<br/>—Case Report and literature Review

Pericardial rupture following blunt chest trauma is rare and associated with high mortality rate ranging from 30% to 64%. We review 42 cases which have been reported in the literature in last 17 years and report a case of our own. We have found that 83% of the cases were men with a mean age of 49 years. The most frequent cause was traffic accidents (79%). Preoperative diagnosis of traumatic rupture of the pericardium has been improved in recent 17 years, and the result is satisfactory. Early detection, timely treatment is the key. Pneumopericardium may be a valuable radiographic clue for diagnosis. The management of pericardial rupture is mainly to avoid the risk of cardiac strangulation or acute tamponade. If the injury is recognized timely, treatment is simple and effective.

The definition of active block is given from the angles of crustal deformation and strain. The movement and strain parameters of active blocks are estimated according to the unified velocity field composed of the velocities at 1598 GPS stations obtained from GPS measurements carried out in the past years in the Chinese mainland and the surrounding areas. The movement and strain conditions of the blocks are analyzed. The active blocks in the Chinese mainland have a consistent E-trending movement component, but its N and S components are not consistent. The blocks in the western part have a consistent N-trending movement and the blocks in the eastern part have a consistent S-trending movement. In the area to the east of 90°E, that is the area from Himalayas block towards NE, the movement direction of the blocks rotates clockwisely and the movement rates of the blocks are different. Generally, the movement rate is large in the west and south and small in the east and north with a difference of 3 to 4 times between the rates in the west and east. The distributions of principal compressive strain directions of the blocks are also different. The principal strain of the blocks located to the west of 90oE is basically in the SN direction, the principal compressive strain of the blocks in the northeastern part of Qingzang plateau is roughly in the NE direction and the direction of principal compressive strain of the blocks in the southeastern part of Qingzang plateau rounds clockwisely the east end of Himalayas structure. In addition, the principal strain and shear strain rates of the blocks are also different. The Himalayas and Tianshan blocks have the largest principal compressive strain and the maximum shear strain rate. Then, Lhasa, Qiangtang, Southwest Yunnan (SW Yunnan), Qilian and Sichuan-Yunan (Chuan-Dian) blocks followed. The strain rate of the blocks in the eastern part is smaller.
