Spatiotemporal variations in glacier area and surface velocity of the northern Antarctic Peninsula during 2018-2022

Ice sheet serves as a crucial indicator for assessing climate *** loss in recent remote sensing-based studies indicated that the Antarctic Peninsula has rapid rates of glacier retreat and speed up of surface ***,observations of seasonal variability of ice speed are limited,and glacier-area changes require multi-temporal *** study investigated the changes in area and surface velocities of∼375 glaciers on the northern Antarctic Peninsula(nAP)utilizing satellite images acquired by the Sentinel 1&2 satellites during *** results indicate that the glacier area reduced by approximately 166.1±44.2 km^(2)(-0.2%±0.1%per year)during the study period,with an acceleration after 2020(-0.4%±0.3%per year),and the most dramatic reduction happened on the eastern *** maximum annual ice speeds on the nAP generally exceeded 3500 m per year,while the ice speeds in 2021 were the highest(exceeded 4210 m per year).The ice speed variability in austral autumn was higher than in other seasons,meanwhile the summer ice speeds showed an increasing *** glacier G012158E47018n,Mcneile Glacier,glacier G299637E64094S and Drygalski Glacier showed the most remarkable ice speed variations represented by high daily velocities and strong fluctuations on their *** results demonstrated that the variations in glacier area and seasonal ice speed on the nAP were responsive to the ice-ocean-atmosphere ***,seasonal velocity and area variations should be considered when conducting accurate mass balance calculations,model validations and change mechanism analyses under climate warming scenarios.

Reshaping the imprinting strategy through the thermo-responsive moiety-derived“deep eutectic solvents”effect

As a new concept having emerged in last few years,the“deep eutectic solvents”(DESs)effect integrated into the imprinting technology inevitably exposes design limitations of stimuli-responsive molecularly imprinted polymers(MIPs),as well as inadequate analysis of the adsorption performance of ***,a simple yet defined n-isopropylacrylamide/(3-acrylamidopropyl)trimethylammonium chloride(nIPAM/APTMAC)binary DESs system was proposed to prepare intelligent MIPs with ***,magnetic and thermo-responsive MIPs based on functional monomers-derived DESs(TMDESs-MIPs1)were synthesized,revealing DESs effect-regulated affinity/kinetics for the enhanced adsorption capability,eco-friendly thermo-regulated elution for high release efficiency,and simple magnetic separation,along with superior selectivity to rhein(RH)and good regeneration ***-DESs-MIPs1 were utilized to extract RH from Cassiae semen samples coupled with high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),yielding satisfactory recoveries(79.47%−110.82%)and low limits of detection(LOD)(16.67μg/L).Another two kinds of MIPs adopting the thermo-responsive moiety-derived DESs effect strategy further demonstrated great applicability of such intelligent MIPs for analyses of complicated samples.

The interfacial characteristics of the Li metal anode(LMA)play a crucial role in its overall *** various materials being applied to modify the interface,a comprehensive understanding of their specific mechanisms remains to be ***,we have prepared carbon cloth(CC)frameworks with their surfaces modified using ferromagnetic metal/LiF heterogeneous films(T^(M)-LiF-CC)as the substrate for LMA,which exhibit superior electrochemical *** ferromagnetic Co as a representative example,our study demonstrates that the enhanced performance of Co-LiF-CC,compared to bare CC,is attributed to the spinpolarized interface contributed by the Co/LiF *** and LiF play individual roles in redistributing electrons and Li^(+)to promote homogeneous Li *** nanoparticles play a crucial role in generating strong surface capacitance by storing electrons in spin-split bands,while LiF,with low surface diffusion barriers,ensures fast transportation of Li^(+).The Co-LiF-CC@Li electrodes deliver long lives of 7400 and 3600 h at 1 and 2 mA·cm^(-2)in symmetric cells,respectively;moreover,they enable full batteries with high and durable capacities,particularly when the n/P ratios are low(3.3 or even 1.7).

Objective:To investigate changes of myeloid differentiation factor 2（MD2） in inflammationinduced pain and acupuncture-mediated ***:Mice were randomly divided into three groups by a random number table method:saline group（n=16）,complete Freund's adjuvant（CFA） group（n=24） and CFA+electroacupuncture（EA） group（n=26）.Inflammation-induced pain was modelled by injecting CFA to the plantar surface of the hind paw of mice and EA was applied to bilateral Zusanli（ST 36） to alleviate *** mice in the CFA+EA group received EA treatment（30 min/d for 2 weeks） 24 h after *** in the saline and CFA groups received sham ***-Frey test and Hargreaves test were used to assess the pain *** and spinal tissues were collected for immunofluorescence staining or Western blotting to quantify changes of MD2 ***:CFA successfully induced plantar pain and EA significantly alleviated pain 3 days after modelling（Pnumber of MD2+/c-fos+neurons was significantly increased in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord 7 and 14 days after EA,especially in laminae Ⅰ-Ⅱ_o（Pn of double positive cells to the number of c-fos positive cells and the mean fluorescence intensity of MD2 neurons were also significantly increased in laminae Ⅰ-Ⅱ_o（Pn blotting showed that the level of MD2 was significantly decreased by EA only in the hippocampus on day 7 and 14（both Pnd no significant changes were observed in the cortex,thalamus,cerebellum,or the brainstem（P>0.05）.Fluorescence staining showed significant decrease in the level of MD2 in periagueductal gray（PAG） and locus coeruleus（LC） after CFA injection on day 7（Pnd EA significantly reversed this decrease（Pnclusion:The unique changes of MD2 suggest that EA may exert the analgesic effect through modulating neuronal activities of the superficial laminae of the spinal cord and certai
