Introduction: Neonatal mortality remains a major public health concern. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the number of newborns dying each year has fallen from 5 million in 1990 to 2.4 million in 2019. The aim of our study was to describe the main morbid conditions and their lethality in newborns admitted to the paediatric ward of the CSREF in Commune V. Methodology: We conducted a 12-month prospective descriptive and analytical study from August 2020 to July 2021. Results: During the 12 months of the study, out of 2654 neonates admitted to hospital, 216 met our inclusion criteria, i.e. 8%. Newborns admitted in the first few hours of life represented 99.54% of cases. Full-term newborns accounted for 65.74% of the total. Forty-eight percent of newborns had hypothermia on admission. The most common diagnosis was asphyxia in 55.56% of cases, followed by neonatal infection in 27.78% and prematurity in 10.65%. Death was recorded in 22.2% of cases. Asphyxia was the main cause of neonatal death, followed by prematurity in our context. Conclusion: Improving the prognosis of newborn babies will require a thorough understanding of neonatal pathologies and the implementation of a pre- and perinatal prevention policy.

Objectives: The main objective was to evaluate antibiotic prescribing in the Department of Pediatrics at gabriel Touré teaching hospital. Methods: This was a prospective descriptive study conducted from September 1 to November 31, 2018, in the Department of Pediatrics at gabriel Touré teaching hospital. All children aged 0 to 15 years hospitalized for any pathology during the study period and having received at least one antibiotic had been included. Results: We collected 445 children’s records out of 1032 admissions during the study period, representing a hospital frequency of 43.1%. The sex ratio was 1.3%. The 2 - 5 age group accounted for 48.1%. Fever was the reason for consultation in 45.6% of cases. Patients’ general condition was altered in 60% of cases. The fathers were blue-collar workers in 65.4% and the mothers housewives in 85%, and had no education in 42.9% and 64.5% respectively. Hepatomegaly was present in 18.2%, splenomegaly in 9.6% and peripheral adenopathy in 3.1%. The site of infection was pulmonary in 37.6% and ENT in 9.2%. Bacterial infection was assumed on admission in 54% of cases, and meningitis in 57.7%. The discharge diagnosis was malaria in 54.6%, severe acute malnutrition in 18.6% and meningitis in 6.7%. The death rate was 3.8%. Neutrophilic leukocytosis was present in 47.3% of patients. CRP was positive in 85% of patients. Blood cultures taken in 27.6% of patients were positive in 5. CSF analysis in 30% of patients showed elevated leukocytes in 6.5%. No cultures were positive. Antibiotic prescription was justified by infectious hypotheses in 43.1% of patients. β-lactam antibiotics were prescribed in 98.6%. Antibiotic therapy was not adapted to national/international recommendations in 68.3% of cases, and was not justified in 16.3% of cases on D5 of hospitalization. Objective: The main objective was to study the disturbances of the Blood Count of children hospitalized in the general pediatric of the gabriel Touré teaching hospital. Methods: This was a prospective and descriptive study conducted from September 1 to November 30, 2018 in the general pediatrics department of the gabriel Touré teaching hospital in Bamako. Data were collected on patient records using a survey sheet. Results: We collected 512 files of children out of 1030 admissions during the study period;the rate of completion of the blood count is 50%. The male sex was predominant with a sex ratio of 1.3. The majority of patients were under 5 years old (58%). The majority of fathers (56%) and mothers (64%) of children had no education;they are mainly farmers (61%) and housewives (88%). Pallor was the reason for consultation in 29% of patients and present in 60%. On blood count, anemia was present in 92% of patients, half of whom (50%) had severe anemia with a hemoglobin level below 7 g/dL. The anemia was mainly microcytic (72%) and hypochromic (66%). Hyperleukocytosis (62%), eosinophilia (68%) and basophilia (58%) were the abnormalities observed in the white line. Thrombocytopenia accounted for 40%. Severe malaria (53%) was the main discharge diagnosis and almost all patients (99%) were alive at discharge. Conclusion: The characteristics of anemia require a study of the complete blood count in healthy children with dosage of serum iron and ferritin for a better understanding of the phenomenon.

Propane catalytic cracking on pretreated La-ZSM-5 zeolite during calcination for light olefins production

The purpose of this study was to increase light olefins yield and selectivity in catalytic cracking of propane. Pretreatment of ZSM-5 zeolite was performed during calcination. First, lanthanum was loaded on the catalyst by wet impregnation method and then the effect of parameters, such as temperature（400–800 oC）, time（120–480 min） and type of stream, on La-ZSM-5 zeolite was examined during calcination using central composite design（CCD） method. Based on the proposed models, the optimized condition for maximizing selectivity of light olefins for air stream was 680 oC and 310 min and for the nitrogen stream was 735 oC and 173 min that under these conditions, selectivity amount increased 24% for nitrogen stream and 19% for air stream as compared with H-ZSM-5 catalyst. The synthesized catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction（XRD） and temperature-programmed desorption（TPD） techniques. According to the results of NH3-TPD, as the temperature increased, the number of strong acid sites（specially Bronsted acid sites） reduced and resulted in increased production of light olefins as well as catalyst stability. Accordingly, stability of the samples calcined with nitrogen stream was higher than the samples calcined with the air stream.

Quantitative Analysis of Faults in Huizhou Sub-basin, Pearl River Mouth Basin

This study used 2D seismic profiles to investigate the Cenozoic evolution of faults in the Huizhou Sub-basin. It aims to define the basin structure style through describing the geometric fea- tures of the faults and quantitatively analyzing their activities. The results indicate that the boundary faults in the Huizhou Sub-basin display en echelon arrangement in plan view, which indicates that, it was caused by a kind of oblique extension. Calculating the fault slips shows long-term activities of faults occurred in the basin, and some boundary faults kept active after 5.5 ma. The evolution history of the fault system is reconstructed. Initially, during the Eocene-Early Oligocene, mainly NNE-NE and NW trending faults and NE striking grabens and half-grabens formed in the basin and a series of faults system controlled the deposition. During the Late Oligocene--Early Miocene, the structural ac- tivities were relatively weak, the fault activity and the fault growth rate decreased sharply. Finally, in the late stage from Late Miocene to the present, the structure movement was re-activated, and some faults were also reactivated. Our study will help better understand the structural features and evolu- tion of the petroleum-bearing basins in the northern margin of the South China Sea.

Background:Subclinical micronutrient deficiencies have been gradually becoming more important as a public health problem and drawing attention of the health *** it has been known that detecting and treating people having deficiency symptoms alone is no longer *** is important to detect and prevent any deficiency before it displays clinical *** deficiency is one of the most widespread micronutrient *** this study,we aimed to evaluate the zinc status and the associated factors in healthy school-age ***:The study was carried out in schools in Altindag,the district of Ankara.A total of 1063 healthy children,585 girls and 478 boys,aged 5-16 years were included in the *** zinc,high-sensitivity C-reactive protein levels and white blood cell count were measured.A serum zinc level 10 years of age the cutoffs for serum zinc concentration were set at 66 μg/dL for females and 70 μg/dL for males.A questionnaire was developed to collect socioeconomic and demographic information of the ***:The prevalence of subclinical zinc deficiency in children attending the study was detected to be 27.8%.This high ratio showed zinc deficiency was an important health problem in the Altindag district of Ankara,***:Evaluating the indicators of zinc deficiency such as serum zinc concentration,dietary zinc intake and stunting prevalence,this study is the most comprehensive epidemiological study performed in children in *** study reveals the high prevalence of subclinical zinc deficiency and indicates that zinc deficiency is a public health concern for the study population.

In this paper,we consider a possible modification of the de Sitter and anti-de Sitter space for the extended uncertainty *** the modified anti-de Sitter model we discuss the representation and wave functions of the momentum operator for a one-dimensional box ***,we consider modified Snyder and anti-Snyder models for the generalized uncertainty ***,we assume the Hamiltonian with different potential and solve the Heisenberg algebra for the modified(anti)-de Sitter and(anti)-Snyder models in both position and in the momentum space.

En Echelon Faults and Basin Structure in Huizhou Sag, South China Sea: Implications for the Tectonics of the SE Asia

The Huizhou sag is situated on the continental shelf of the northern continental margin of the South China Sea. In this paper we present a grid of reflection seismic and well data to characterize the basin structure and prominent unconformities. We employ EBM and 2DMOVE softwares to explore the subsidence history and stratigraphic development history of the basin. We found a rapid subsidence period since 15.5 ma. Moreover, we calculated the stretching factors of the upper crust and the whole crust in the Huizhou sag. The results show the values are 1.10–1.13 and 1.08–1.31, respectively, indicating faulting in Huizhou sag is relatively small. It is noteworthy that the faults map reveals en echelon distribution at the north and south margins of the basin. We suggest en echelon faults here are caused by the subduction of Proto-South China Sea toward NW Borneo block and cease of the South China Sea. Considering the pronounced unconformities, subsidence rates, fault activities and sediment thickness, the Cenozoic tectonic evolution of the basin can be divided into rifting（49–32 ma）, post-rifted（32–15.5 ma） and rapid subsidence（15.5–0 ma） stages. Our study will shed new light on the tectonics of SE Asia and petroleum exploration in the South China Sea.

A novel method for enhancing the stability of ZSM-5 zeolites used for catalytic cracking of LPG: Catalyst modification by dealumination and subsequent silicon loading

Composite structures of ZSM‐5 zeolites were prepared by the synthesis of mesopores and mi‐cropores using carbon nanotubes as a template. Dealumination of mesopores was performed selec‐tively using trichloroacetic acid, which could only diffuse into the mesopores and not the mi‐cropores owing to the size of the trichloroacetic acid molecules. Empty spaces are created in the catalyst as a result of removal of the Al atoms from the zeolite structure. If Si atoms fill the empty space, then the structure of the mesopores becomes similar to silicates, which do not have any cata‐lytic properties. Silicon containing solution was used to fill the empty spaces, and in doing so, a unique method was developed, by which silicon atoms can directly replace the extracted Al atoms from the mesopore structure. Therefore, by changing the geometry and properties of the mesopores and micropores, the amount of coke reduced from 14%for HZSM‐5 to 3%for the modified zeolite.
