a. a.uminide（a.Fe a.d α-（Fea.）） surfa.e la.er conta.ning lower-a. wa. formed on ferritic-ma.tensitic steel P92 by mea.s of surfa.e mecha.ica. a.trition trea.ment（SMa.） combined with a.duplex a.uminiza.ion process a. lower tempera.ures,i.e.a.pa.ked a.uminiza.ion followed by a.diffusion a.nea.ing trea.ment below its tempering *** tests indica.ed tha. the lower-a. surfa.e la.er formed on the SMa. sa.ple is more resista.t to cra.king a.d ha. better a.hesion to the substra.e in compa.ison with the a. 5Fe 2 la.er formed on the a.-received sa.ple a.ter the duplex a.uminiza.ion *** stea. oxida.ion mea.urements showed tha. the oxida.ion resista.ce is increa.ed significa.tly by the lower-a. surfa.e la.er due to the forma.ion of a.protective（Fe,Cr）a. 2O 4 *** ra.e consta.t of oxida.ion wa. estima.ed to decrea.e from-0.849 mg^2 cm^-4h^-1 of the a.-received ma.eria. to^0.011 mg^2 cm^-4 h^-1 of the a.Fe la.er a. 700 ℃.

Potentia. energy curves for the lowest electronic sta.es of La. a.d La.- ha.e been ca.cula.ed by a. initio *** diffusion Monte Ca.lo method ha. been employed in combina.ion with three different tria. functions. Spectroscopic consta.ts ha.e a.so been numerica.ly derived for the neutra. molecule a.d compa.ed with the only a.a.la.le theoretica. work;^（[19]） however, predictions a.e provided for the corresponding consta.ts for the a.ionic species which ha.e not been reported yet. Our ca.cula.ions suggest the high spin quintet sta.e of La. a. the ground sta.e with the triplet sta.e higher in energy irrespective of the type of the functiona. used. This suggestion is in good a.corda.ce with the previous theoretica. results ca.cula.ed a. B3LYP/La.L2DZ level of theory, wherea. it contra.icts with the prediction ba.ed upon B3LYP/SDD ca.cula.ions in the sa.e study. Moreover, va.ia.ions of the perma.ent dipole moments a. a.function of the internuclea. sepa.a.ions for the two electronic sta.es of the neutra. molecule ha.e been studied a.d a.a.yzed.

Complexes of La.Ⅲ）, Ce（Ⅲ）, Pr（Ⅲ）, Nd（Ⅲ）, Sm（Ⅲ）, Eu（Ⅲ）, Gd（Ⅲ）, Dy（Ⅲ）, Yb（Ⅲ）, a.d Lu0ID with 2-（N-o- hydroxya.etophenone）a.ino-3-ca.boxyethyl-4,5,6,7-tetra.ydrobenzo[b]thiophene （Ha.T） formed by the condensa.ion of o-hydroxya.etophenone a.d 2-a.ino-3-ca.boxyethyl-4,5,6,7-tetra.ydrobenzo[b]thiophene were synthesized a.d cha.a.terized on the ba.is of elementa. a.a.yses, mola. conducta.ce mea.urements, ma.netic susceptibility da.a. UV-Visible, IR, a.d NMR spectra. studies. The spectra. da.a.revea.ed tha. the liga.d a.ted a. a.neutra. tridenta.e coordina.ing to the meta. ion through ONO donor sequence. a.coordina.ion number nine wa. proposed for the complexes. Therma. decomposition studies of the liga.d a.d la.tha.um（Ⅲ） complex were ca.ried out a.d kinetic pa.a.eters were ca.cula.ed using Coa.s-Redfem equa.ion. The decomposition rea.tions followed ra.dom nuclea.ion mecha.ism with one nucleus on ea.h pa.ticle.

Ma.y territoria. a.ima.s exhibit reduced a.gression towa.ds neighbours. known a. “the dea. enemy effect”, this phenomenon ha. been documented a.ong conspecific a.ima.s a.ross a.wide ra.ge of a.ima. ta.a. In theory, the dea. enemy effect ca. a.so exist between individua.s of different species, pa.ticula.ly when those species compete for sha.ed resources. To da.e, a.heterospecific dea. enemy effects ha. only been documented in a.ts. In this study, we test for both a.conspecific a.d heterospe-cific dea. enemy effect in neotropica. rufous-a.d-white wrensThryophilus rufa.bus. This species competes for resources with ba.ded wrensThryophilus pleurostictus, a.closely rela.ed sympa.ric congener. We used a.oustic pla.ba.k to simula.e ruf-ous-a.d-white wren a.d ba.ded wren neighbours a.d non-neighbours a. the edges of rufous-a.d-white wren territories. Ruf-ous-a.d-white wrens responded more strongly to signa.s from their own species, demonstra.ing tha. resident ma.es discrimina.e between conspecific a.d heterospecific riva.s. They did not, however, exhibit a.conspecific dea. enemy effect. Further, they did not exhibit a.heterospecific dea. enemy effect. This could be due to neighbours a.d non-neighbours posing simila. levels of threa. in this system, to the possibility tha. pla.ba.k from the edges of the subjects’ la.ge territories did not simula.e a.threa.ening signa., or to other fa.tors. Our study provides the first test of a.heterospecific dea. enemy effect in vertebra.es, a.d presents a.va.ua.le experimenta. a.proa.h for testing for a.heterospecific dea. enemy effect in other a.ima.s.

Office Bracknell Berkshire UKn this paper the differences between Meiyu and Baiu front in 1983 have firstly been analysed the trajectories of air on and to the north side of Meiyu and Baiu fronts during the Meiyu period have then been traced and the forecasting and simulating of 4 sets of Meiyu onset of the year have finally been run utilizing the global model at UK Me-leorological Office. The results show: 1) Meiyu fronts are different from Baiu ones in temperature humidity and stratification fields in lower atmosphere a.d the possibly rea.ons for it a.e expla.ned. 2) The Ba. of Benga. is the ma.n moisture source for Meiyu front the South China Sea and the Pacific for Baiu ones a.d some existed a.guments on it a.e a.so discussed. 3) The onset of Meiyu a.d its ra.nfa.l a.d ra.n belts a.e sensitive to the Tibeta. Pla.ea. and the water vapour conditions over the Bay of Bengal and the South China Sea but not sensitive to the SST over the equatorial area or to the East of Japan.

In this pa.er the differences between Meiyu a.d Ba.u front in 1983 ha.e firstly been a.a.ysed, the tra.ectories of a.r on a.d to the north side of Meiyu a.d Ba.u fronts during the Meiyu period ha.e then been tra.ed, a.d the foreca.ting a.d simula.ing of 4 sets of Meiyu onset of the yea. ha.e fina.ly been run utilizing the globa. model a.
