kLnF_(4):Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)/Ho^(3+)(Ln=Y,Yb,Gd)phosphors were prepa.ed by solid-sta.e rea.tion *** ea.h of the Yb^(3+)/Er^(3+)a.d Yb^(3+)/Ho^(3+)co-doped phosphors independently,pha.e confirma.ion a.d morphologica. exa.ina.ion were a.complished using the X-ra. diffra.tion technique a.d sca.ning electron microscope a.a.ysis.X-ra. photoelectron spectroscopy a.a.ysis shows the cha.ge sta.e a.d existence of la.tha.ides a.d *** luminescence emissions of green a.d red colour were detected for the synthesized *** cha.ges in the upconverted emission intensities a.d colour output perta.ning to the cha.ge of the la.tha.ide host ma.rix a.ong with dopa.ts were investiga.ed for the prepa.ed *** the upconversion luminescence,erbium-doped sa.ples exhibit a.predomina.ce of red emission while holmium-doped sa.ples displa. a.preva.ence of green *** ra.e-ea.th Er/Ho doped kYbF4shows strong red emission compa.ed to other ***_(4):Yb,Er/Ho exhibits rela.ively significa.t green upconve rsion emissions,while Yb,Er-doped kGdF_(4)host displa.s a.10-fold increa.e in green/red emission ra.io with a. increa.e in the input power of 20-780 *** photoluminescence studies a.d deca. curve a.a.ysis were ca.ried out using UV light excita.ion for the developed phosphors.a.higher lifetime of 2.2 ms wa. mea.ured for the downshifting red emission in the Ho doped kYbF_(4)*** study suggests a.potentia. for colour tuna.ility in the upconversion a.d downshifting emissions through host modifica.ions to the fluoride phosphor.
