Erectile dysfunction （ED） is a major complication of diabetes, and many diabetic men with ED are refractory to common ED therapies. Adipose tissue-derived stem cells （ADSCs） have been shown to improve erectile function in diabetic animal models. However, inadequate cell homing to damaged sites has limited their efficacy. Therefore, we explored the effect of ADSCs labeled with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles （SPIONs） on improving the erectile function of streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats with an external magnetic field. We found that SPIONs effectively incorporated into ADSCs and did not exert any negative effects on stem cell properties. Magnetic targeting of ADSCs contributed to long-term cell retention in the corpus cavernosum and improved the erectile function of diabetic rats compared with ADSC injection alone. In addition, the paracrine effect of ADSCs appeared to play the major role in functional and structural recovery. Accordingly, magnetic field-guided ADSC therapy is an effective approach for diabetes-associated ED therapy.

Methylation modification is an important cellular mechanism of gene expression regulation. Dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolase-2 （DDAH-2） protein is a pivotal molecular for endothelium function. To explore the effects of 5-aza-deoxycytidine （5-aza）, a demethylation agent, in hyperhomocysteinemia （hhcy）-related erectile dysfunction （ED） rats, 5-aza （1 mg kg-1） was administrated to Sprague-Dawley hhcy-rats induced by supplemented methionine chow diet. Erectile function, nitric oxide-cyclic guanosine monophosphate （NO-cGMP） levels, expression of DDAH-2 protein and promoter methylation status of DDAH-2 were studied in the corpora cavernosa. We found that supplemented methionine diet induced a high homocysteine level after 6 weeks of treatment. DDAH-2 protein was down-regulated in the corpora cavemosa while the administration of 5-aza up-regulated DDAH-2 expression and restored erectile function. The methionine-fed rats showed high methylation levels of DDAH-2 promoter region while the group treated with 5-aza demonstrated Iower-methylation levels when compared to the methionine-fed group. Besides, the administration of 5-aza improved NO and cGMP levels in methionine-fed rats. Therefore, the methylation mechanism involves in ED Dathogenesis. and demethvlation offers a ootential new strate~ for ED treatment.

Erectile dysfunction （ED） associated with type 2 diabetes is a severe problem that requires effective treatment. Pancreatic kininogenase （PK） has the potential to improve the erectile function of ED patients. This study aims to investigate the effect of PK on erectile function in streptozotocin-induced type 2 diabetic ED rats. To achieve this goal, we divided male Sprague-Dawley rats into five groups. One group was not treated, and the other four groups were treated with saline, sildenafil, PK or sildenafil, and PK, respectively, for 4 weeks after the induction of type 2 diabetic ED. Then, intracavernous pressure under cavernous nerve stimulation was measured, and penile tissue was collected for further study. Endothelial nitric oxide synthase levels, smooth muscle content, endothelium content, cyclic guanosine monophosphate （cGMP） levels in the corpus cavernosum, and neuronal nitric oxide synthase levels in the dorsal penile nerve were measured. Improved erectile function and endothelium and smooth muscle content in the corpus cavernosum were observed in diabetic ED rats. When treating diabetic ED rats with PK and sildenafil at the same time, a better therapeutic effect was achieved. These data demonstrate that intraperitoneal injection of PK can improve erectile function in a rat model of type 2 diabetic ED. With further research on specific mechanisms of erectile function improvement, PK may become a novel treatment for diabetic ED.

This paper presents a design method to implement an antenna array characterized by ultra-wide beam coverage,low profile,and low Sidelobe Level(SLL)for the application of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)air-to-ground *** array consists of ten broadside-radiating,ultrawide-beamwidth elements that are cascaded by a central-symmetry series-fed network with tapered currents following Dolph-Chebyshev distribution to provide low ***,an innovative design of end-fire Huygens source antenna that is compatible with metal ground is presented.A low-profile,half-mode Microstrip Patch Antenna(MPA)is utilized to serve as the magnetic dipole and a monopole is utilized to serves as the electric dipole,constructing the compact,end-fire,grounded Huygens source ***,two opposite-oriented end-fire Huygens source antennas are seamlessly integrated into a single antenna element in the form of monopole-loaded MPA to accomplish the ultrawide,broadside-radiating *** consideration has been applied into the design of series-fed network as well as antenna element to compensate the adverse coupling effects between elements on the radiation *** indicates an ultrawide Half-Power Beamwidth(HPBW)of 161°and a low SLL of-25 dB with a high gain of 12 d Bi under a single-layer *** concurrent ultrawide beamwidth and low SLL make it particularly attractive for applications of UAV air-to-ground communication.

The reduction of nitrobenzene to aniline is very important for both pollution control and chemical ***,difficulties still remain in developing a catalytic system having high efficiency and selectivity for the production of ***,it was found that PdO nanoparticles highly dispersed on TiO_(2)support(PdO/TiO_(2))functioned as a highly efficient catalyst for the reduction of nitrobenzene in the presence of *** favorable conditions,95%of the added nitrobenzene(1 mmol/L)was reduced within 1 min with an ultra-low apparent activation energy of 10.8 kJ/mol by using 0.5%PdO/TiO_(2)as catalysts and 2 mmol/L of NaBH4 as reductants,and the selectivity to aniline even reached up to 98%.The active hydrogen specieswere perceived as dominant species during the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene by the results of isotope labeling experiments and ESR spectroscopic.A mechanismwas proposed as follows:PdO activates the nitro groups and leads to in-situ generation of Pd,and the generated Pd acts as the reduction sites to produce active hydrogen *** this catalytic system,nitrobenzene prefers to be adsorbed on the PdO nanoparticles of the PdO/TiO_(2)***,the addition of NaBH4 results in in-situ generation of a Pd/PdO/TiO_(2)composite from the PdO/TiO_(2)composite,and the Pd nanoclusters would activate NaBH4 to generate active hydrogen species to attack the adsorbed nitro *** work will open up a new approach for the catalytic transfer hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to aniline in green chemistry.

Smoke and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery base on substantial field measurement:A case study in Beijing,China

To understand the smoke level and NO_(x)emission characteristics of in-use construction machinery in Beijing,we selected 905 construction machines in Beijing from August 2022 to April 2023 to monitor the emission level of smoke and NO_(x).The exhaust smoke level and excessive emission situation of different machinery types were identified,and their NO_(x)emission levels were monitored according to the free acceleration *** investigated the correlation of NO_(x)and smoke emission,and proposed suggestions for controlling pollution discharge from construction machinery in the *** results show that the exhaust smoke level was 0–2.62 m^(−1),followed a log-normal distribution(μ=-1.73,δ=1.09,R^(2)=0.99),with a 5.64%exceedance *** observed amongmachinery types,with low-power engine forklifts showing higher smoke *** NO_(x)emission range was 71–1516 ppm,followed a normal distribution(μ=565.54,δ=309.51,R^(2)=0.83).Differences among machinery types were relatively *** rated net power had the most significant impact on NO_(x)***,NO_(x)emissions from construction machinery need further ***,we found a weak negative correlation(p<0.05)between the emission level of smoke and NO_(x),that is the synergic emission reduction effect is poor,emphasizing the need for NO_(x)emission *** the future,the oversight in Beijing should prioritize phasing out ChinaⅠand ChinaⅡmachinery,and monitor emissions from highpower engine ChinaⅢmachinery.

Constructing the low-cost, high-efficiency, and good batch-to-batch reproducibility polymer donor is vitally important for the application of organic solar cells. Herein, we develop a structurally simple carboxylate-substituted thiazole as an electron-withdrawing building block to construct a low-cost polymer, PBTTzE, containing a facilely prepared chlorinated benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b ']dithiophene (BDTCl) donor unit. Benefiting from synergistic electron deficient effects of chlorination and ester group and C=N, as well as the noncovalent interaction of S & ctdot;O and S & ctdot;N, PBTTzE exhibits a deep HOMO energy level (-5.59 eV), and a planar skeleton structure. When combined with the IT-4F acceptor, the polymer (54 kDa) demonstrated a champion PCE of 15.87%, which is the highest value in the IT-4F-based binary devices to date. Moreover, PBTTzE exhibits excellent batch-to-batch reproducibility due to its very similar PCEs within a range of 43-76 kDa. In addition, an alloyed state and complementary absorption can be formed between PM6 and PBTTzE. Therefore, in a ternary device with PBTTzE added to the PM6:BTP-eC9 blend, a top PCE of 18.76% is achieved due to the suppressed energy loss, prolonged exciton diffusion distance, and improved charge transport. Our work demonstrates that the carboxylate-substituted thiazole is a highly promising acceptor unit for constructing low-cost and high-performance polymers.

在典型的上硬、下软红黏土地层中静压管桩滞留的残余应力对基桩承载特性有较大影响。通过自行设计模型试验设备进行红黏土地层单、群桩静压闭口管桩室内试验,分析3种桩径下静压单、群桩残余应力的变化规律及时间效应。结果表明,静压管桩桩身残余应力沿桩身从上到下先增大后变小,呈折线型分布;对于典型的红黏土上硬、下软地层,桩端持力层位于硬塑层和可塑层时,桩身和桩端残余应力均较小;当管桩压入到基岩持力层后桩端受约束增强,桩身和桩端残余应力明显增大;静压单桩完成后静置初期桩身残余应力时间效应比较明显,减小幅度较大,复压后而后随着休止时间的延长,桩身残余应力呈指数型衰减至一较低稳定值;静载试验时忽略残余应力就将认为整个桩身所受压力偏小,偏大计算中性面以上侧摩阻力7.97%,偏小计算中性面以下侧摩阻力8.33%和桩端阻力2.29%。

The potential mechanism and clinical application value of remote ischemic conditioning in stroke

Some studies have confirmed the neuroprotective effect of remote ischemic conditioning against stroke. Although numerous animal researches have shown that the neuroprotective effect of remote ischemic conditioning may be related to neuroinflammation, cellular immunity, apoptosis, and autophagy, the exact underlying molecular mechanisms are unclear. This review summarizes the current status of different types of remote ischemic conditioning methods in animal and clinical studies and analyzes their commonalities and differences in neuroprotective mechanisms and signaling pathways. Remote ischemic conditioning has emerged as a potential therapeutic approach for improving stroke-induced brain injury owing to its simplicity, non-invasiveness, safety, and patient tolerability. Different forms of remote ischemic conditioning exhibit distinct intervention patterns, timing, and application range. Mechanistically, remote ischemic conditioning can exert neuroprotective effects by activating the Notch1/phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt signaling pathway, improving cerebral perfusion, suppressing neuroinflammation, inhibiting cell apoptosis, activating autophagy, and promoting neural regeneration. While remote ischemic conditioning has shown potential in improving stroke outcomes, its full clinical translation has not yet been achieved.
