BACKgROUND Presently,there is no established standard anti-blood clot therapy for patients facing acute myocardial infarction(AMI)complicated by left ventricular thrombus(LVT).While vitamin K antagonists are the preferred choice for oral blood thinning,determining the best course of blood-thinning medication remains *** is unclear if non-vitamin K antagonist oral blood thinners have different effectiveness in treating *** study significantly contributes to the medical *** SUMMARY The blood-thinning treatment of a patient with AMI and LVT was *** blood-thinning therapy included daily enteric-coated aspirin tablets at 0.1 g,daily clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate at 75 mg,and dabigatran etexilate at 110 mg twice *** 15 d,the patient’s LVT did not decrease but instead *** pharmacists comprehensively analyzed the cases from the perspective of the patient’s disease status and drug *** drug regimen was reformulated for the patient,replacing dabigatran etexilate with warfarin,and was administered for six *** clinical pharmacist provided the patient with professional and standardized pharmaceutical *** patient’s condition was discharged after meeting the international normalized ratio value(2-3)*** patient fully complied with the follow-up,and the time in the therapeutic range was 78.57%,with no serious adverse effects during pharmaceutical *** Warfarin proves to be an effective drug for patients with AMI complicated by LVT,and its blood-thinning course lasts for six months.

To the Editor:Pulmonary embolism(PE)is the third most common cause of cardiovascular-related death worldwide after stroke and heart *** a consequence of hemodynamic differences,patients with PE present a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations,ranging from asymptomatic to life-threatening *** are high rates of recurrence in PE patients,and although most patients survive after the initial phase of the disease,the risk of recurrence remains throughout *** to patients experiencing theirrst PE episodes,patients with recurrent PE may be *** date,much of our knowledge about recurrent PE has come from clinical trials or registry studies in which symptomatic recurrence was a major endpoint,while asymptomatic recurrence is rarely ***,current guidelines suggest treating patients with asymptomatic PE similarly to those with symptomatic PE,[1,2]but do not recommend routine follow-up of asymptomatic patients by imaging methods after PE diagnosis.

Standardized ileal digestibility of amino acids in soybean meal fed to non-pregnant and pregnant sows

Background Two studies were designed to determine standard ileal crude protein(CP)and amino acid(AA)digestibility of soybean meal(SBM)from different origins fed to non-pregnant and pregnant *** solvent-extracted SBMs from soybeans produced in the USA,Brazil,and China were *** Exp.1,eight different diets were created:a nitrogen(N)-free diet and 7 experimental diets containing SBM from different origins as the only N *** non-pregnant,multiparous sows were arranged in an 8×8 Latin square design(8 periods and 8 diets).In Exp.2,the diet formula was the same as in *** gestating sows(parity 3)were assigned to 4 different diets in a replicated 4×3 Youden square design(three periods and four diets)in mid-gestation and again in late-gestation *** When fed to non-pregnant and late-gestating sows,the standardized ileal digestibility(SID)of CP and most AAs from different SBM were not significantly different(P>0.05).When fed to mid-gestating sows,the SID values for Arg,His,Lys,Phe,Cys,gly,Ser,and Tyr in SBM 1 were lower than in SBM 4 and 5(Pgher than in SBM 1 and 4(Pgnificantly greater SID values for Lys,Ala,and Asp during mid-gestation when compared with late-gestation stages(Pgestating sows had greater SID value for Val and lower SID value for Tyr when compared with non-pregnant and late-gestating sows(Pgnant sows had significantly greater SID value for Met when compared with gestating sows(Pgestating sows,the SID values for most AAs varied among SBM *** SID values for Lys,Met,Val,Ala,Asp,and Tyr in SBM were affected by sow gestation *** findings provide a cornerstone for accurate SBM use in sow diets.

groundwater serves as an important water source for residents in and around mining *** achieve scientific planning and efficient utilization of water resources in mining areas,it is essential to figure out the chemical formation process and the ground water sulfur cycle that transpire after the coal mining *** on studies of hydrochemistry and D,^(18)O-H_(2)O,^(34)S-SO_(4)isotopes,this study applied principal component analysis,ion ratio and other methods in its attempts to reveal the hydrogeochemical action and sulfur cycle in the subsidence area of Pingyu mining *** study discovered that,in the studied area,precipitation provides the major supply of groundwater and the main water chemistry effects are dominated by oxidation dissolution of sulfide minerals as well as the dissolution of carbonate and silicate *** sulfate in groundwater primarily originates from oxidation and dissolution of sulfide minerals in coal-bearing strata and human *** mixed sulfate formed by the oxidation of sulfide minerals and by human activities continuously recharges the groundwater,promoting the dissolution of carbonate rock and silicate rock in the process.

BACKgROUND The prognostic value of coronary collateral circulation(CC)in patients undergoing chronic total occlusion(CTO)percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)is *** purpose of the study was to assess the prognostic value of current two CC grading systems and their association with long-term outcomes in patients with CTO underwent *** We consecutively enrolled patients with single-vessel CTO underwent PCI between January 2010 and *** patients were categorized into well-developed or poor-developed collaterals group according to angiographic Werner's CC(grade 2 *** 0–1)or Rentrop(grade 3 *** 0–2)grading *** primary endpoint was 5-year cardiac *** Of 2452 enrolled patients,the overall technical success rate was 74.1%.Well-developed collaterals were present in686 patients(28.0%)defined by Werner's CC grade 2,and in 1145 patients(46.7%)by Rentrop grade *** to Werner's CC grading system,patients with well-developed collaterals had a lower rate of 5-year cardiac death compared with those with poordeveloped collaterals(1.6%vs.3.3%,P=0.02),those with suboptimal recanalization was associated with higher rate of 5-year cardiac death compared with optimal recanalization(4.7%vs.0.8%,P=0.01)and failure patients(4.7%vs.1.6%,P=0.12).However,the similar effect was not shown in Rentrop grading *** In patients with the single-vessel CTO underwent PCI,well-developed collaterals by Werner's CC definition were associated with lower rate of 5-year cardiac ***'s CC grading system had a greater prognostic value than Rentrop grading system in patients with CTO underwent PCI.
