The function of doping nitrogen on removing fluoride with decomposing La-MOF-NH_2:Density functional theory calculation and experiments

Fluoride is an important pollutant in wastewater,and adsorption is an effective way to remove fluoride.Because nitrogen plays an important role in adsorbent materials,computational models were developed to understand the changes in work function resulting from nitrogen doping.La-N-C-800℃,was prepared by pyrolyzing La-MOF-NH_(2)to verify the influence on the performance of removing fluoride by electrosorption.Material and electrochemical performance tests were performed to characterize La-N-C-800℃.Adsorption kinetics,adsorption thermodynamics,initial concentrations,pH,and ions competition were investigated using La-N-C-800℃for fluoride removal.In addition,density functional theory was applied to evaluate the function of nitrogen.When nitrogen atoms were added,the density of states,partial density of states,populations,and different orbits of charge were calculated to discover deep changes.Nitrogen strengthened the carbon structure and La_(2)O_(3)structure to remove fluoride.In addition,nitrogen can also act as an adsorption site in the carbon structure.These results provide design ideas for improving the performance of adsorbent materials by doping elements.

Background Transvaginal oocyte retrieval is frequently followed by adverse events related to anesthesia and the procedure.Some research showed that transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)can relieve intraoperative pain and postoperative nausea.Objective This study examined whether TEAS can alleviate pain and relieve adverse symptoms after oocyte retrieval.Design,setting,participants and interventions Altogether 128 patients were randomly divided into the TEAS group and the mock TEAS group.The two groups received a 30-minute-long TEAS or mock TEAS treatment that began 30 min after oocyte retrieval.Main outcome measures The primary outcome was the visual analog scale(VAS)pain score.Secondary outcomes were pressure pain threshold,McGill score,pain rating index(PRI),present pain intensity(PPI),VAS stress score,VAS anxiety score,and postoperative adverse symptoms.Results The baseline characteristics of the two groups were comparable(P>0.05).The VAS pain scores of the TEAS group were lower than those of the mock TEAS group at 60 and 90 min after oocyte retrieval(P0.05).The TEAS group was superior to the mock TEAS group for relieving postoperative adverse symptoms(P<0.05).Conclusion TEAS treatment can relieve postoperative pain and postoperative adverse symptoms for patients undergoing oocyte retrieval.

A large number of laboratory investigations related to the permeability have been conducted on the sliding zones.Yet little attention has been paid to the particular sliding zones of the slideprone Badong Formation.Here,we experimentally investigate the permeability nature and the mechanism of seepage in the viscous sliding zone of the huangtupo Landslide.Saturated seepage tests have been performed first with consideration of six dry densities and thirteen hydraulic gradients,in conjunction with the mercury intrusion porosimetry test and scanning electron microscopy test for the microstructure analysis after seepage.The results show that seepage in the sliding zone soil does not follow Darcy’s Law,since there is a threshold hydraulic gradient(i0)below which no flow is observed and a critical hydraulic gradient(icr)over which the hydraulic conductivity(K)tends to be stable.The percentage of bound water could be responsible for the occurrence of i0 and icr.Furthermore,pore size distributions(PSD)less than 0.6µm and between 10 and 90µm exhibit positive and negative correlations with the i0,respectively,indicating that the i0 is related to the PSD.The mechanism accounting for this result is that pore water pressure forces fine clay particles into the surrounding large pores and converts arranged particles to discretely distributed ones,thereby weakening the connectivity of pores.The seepages in the sliding zones behave differently from that in the sliding mass and sliding bed in response to the permeability.

With the development of landslide monitoring system,many attempts have been made to predict landslide failure-time utilizing monitoring data of displacements.Classical models(e.g.,Verhulst,GM(1,1),and Saito models)that consider the characteristics of landslide displacement to determine the failuretime have been investigated extensively.In practice,monitoring is continuously implemented with monitoring data-set updated,meaning that the predicted landslide life expectancy(i.e.,the lag between the predicted failure-time and time node at each instant of conducting the prediction)should be re-evaluated with time.This manner is termed“dynamic prediction”.However,the performances of the classical models have not been discussed in the context of the dynamic prediction yet.In this study,such performances are investigated firstly,and disadvantages of the classical models are then reported,incorporating the monitoring data from four real landslides.Subsequently,a more qualified ensemble model is proposed,where the individual classical models are integrated by machine learning(ML)-based meta-model.To evaluate the quality of the models under the dynamic prediction,a novel indicator termed“discredit index(b)”is proposed,and a higher value of b indicates lower prediction quality.It is found that Verhulst and Saito models would produce predicted results with significantly higher b,while GM(1,1)model would indicate results with the highest mean absolute error.Meanwhile,the ensemble models are found to be more accurate and qualified than the classical models.Here,the performance of decision tree regression-based ensemble model is the best among the various ML-based ensemble models.

Strategies to improve T cell therapy efficacy in solid tumors such as hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)are urgently needed.The common cytokine receptorγchain(γc)family cytokines such as IL-2,IL-7,IL-15 and IL-21 play fundamental roles in T cell development,differentiation and effector phases.This study aims to determine the combination effects of IL-21 in T cell therapy against HCC and investigate optimized strategies to utilize the effect of IL-21 signal in T cell therapy.The antitumor function of AFP-specific T cell receptor-engineered T cells(TCR-T)was augmented by exogenous IL-21 in vitro and in vivo.IL-21 enhanced proliferation capacity,promoted memory differentiation,downregulated PD-1 expression and alleviated apoptosis in TCR-T after activation.A novel engineered IL-21 receptor was established,and TCR-T armed with the novel engineered IL-21 receptors(IL-21R-TCR-T)showed upregulated phosphorylated STAT3 expression without exogenous IL-21 ligand.IL-21R-TCR-T showed better proliferation upon activation and superior antitumor function in vitro and in vivo.IL-21R-TCR-T exhibited a less differentiated,exhausted and apoptotic phenotype than conventional TCR-T upon repetitive tumor antigen stimulation.The novel IL-21 receptor in our study programs powerful TCR-T and can avoid side effects induced by IL-21 systemic utilization.The novel IL-21 receptor creates new opportunities for next-generation TCR-T against HCC.

抗草甘膦转基因油菜和野芥菜回交1代子2代-子6代在无除草剂选择压下的适合度转基因作物的抗性基因能否成功渗入野生或近缘杂草取决于携带转基因回交后代的适合度。为深入了解转基因油菜(Brassica napus)向野芥菜(wild B.juncea)基因流动的生态风险,本文研究了在低密度(5株/m^(2))和高密度(10株/m^(2))下,以及单种和混合种植(野芥菜:BC1F2R-BC1F6R=1:1)下抗草甘膦转基因油菜与野芥菜回交1代子2代到子6代(BC1F2R-BC1F6R)的适合度;并分析回交后代的适合度成分、种植密度和种植方式之间的相关性。研究结果表明:在单种低密度下,与野芥菜相比,回交1代子2代(BC1F2R)和子3代(BC1F3R)具有较低的适合度,而回交1代子4代-子6代(BC1F4R-BC1F6R)具有较高的适合度;无论是单种还是混种,高密度下所有回交后代的适合度均低于野芥菜。相关性分析结果显示,种植密度和种植方式对回交后代(BC1F2R-BC1F6R)的适合度成分有显著影响。这些结果表明,转基因从栽培油菜渗入到野芥菜很大程度上取决于回交后代的特定生长环境。

Partial endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition(EndMT)is an intermediate phenotype observed in endothelial cells(ECs)undergoing a transition toward a mesenchymal state to support neovascularization during(patho)physiological angiogenesis.Here,we investigated the occurrence of partial EndMT in ECs under hypoxic/ischemic conditions and identified general transcription factor IIH subunit 4(GTF2H4)as a positive regulator of this process.In addition,we discovered that GTF2H4 collaborates with its target protein excision repair cross-complementation group 3(ERCC3)to co-regulate partial EndMT.Furthermore,by using phosphorylation proteomics and site-directed mutagenesis,we demonstrated that GTF2H4 was involved in the phosphorylation of receptor coactivator 3(NCOA3)at serine 1330,which promoted the interaction between NCOA3 and p65,resulting in the transcriptional activation of NF-κB and the NF-kB/Snail signaling axis during partial EndMT.In vivo experiments confirmed that GTF2H4 significantly promoted partial EndMT and angiogenesis after ischemic injury.Collectively,our findings reveal that targeting GTF2H4 is promising for tissue repair and offers potential opportunities for treating hypoxic/ischemic diseases.

Exceptional points(EPs)have recently emerged as a new method for engineering the response of open physical systems,that is,systems that interact with the environment.The systems at the EPs exhibit a strong response to a small perturbation.Here,we show a method by which the sensitivity of silicon resonant sensors can be enhanced when operated at EPs.In our experiments,we use a pair of mechanically coupled silicon micromechanical resonators constituting a parity-time(PT)-symmetric dimer.Small perturbations introduced on the mechanically coupled spring cause the frequency to split from the EPs into the PT-symmetric regime without broadening the two spectrum linewidths,and this frequency splitting scales with the square root of the perturbation strength.The overall signal-tonoise ratio is still greatly enhanced,although the measured noise spectral density of the EP sensing scheme has a slight increase comparable to the traditional counterpart.Our results pave the way for resonant sensors with ultrahigh sensitivity.

The synergistic damage effect of irradiation and corrosion of reactor structural materials has been a prominent research focus.This paper provides a comprehensive review of the synergistic effects on the third-and fourth-generation fission nuclear energy structural materials used in pressurized water reactors and molten salt reactors.The competitive mechanisms of multiple influencing factors,such as the irradiation dose,corrosion type,and environmental temperature,are summarized in this paper.Conceptual approaches are proposed to alleviate the synergistic damage caused by irradiation and corrosion,thereby promoting in-depth research in the future and solving this key challenge for the structural materials used in reactors.
