The aorta, with ascending, arch, thoracic and abdominal segments, responds to the heartbeat, senses metabolites and distributes blood to all parts of the body. However, the heterogeneity across aortic segments and how metabolic pathologies change it are not known. Here, a total of 216 612 individual cells from the ascending aorta, aortic arch, and thoracic and abdominal segments of mouse aortas under normal conditions or with high blood glucose levels, high dietary salt, or high fat intake were profiled using single-cell RNA sequencing. We generated a compendium of 10 distinct cell types, mainly endothelial(EC), smooth muscle (SMC), stromal and immune cells. The distributions of the different cells and their intercommunication were influenced by the hemodynamic microenvironment across anatomical segments,and the spatial heterogeneity of ECs and SMCs may contribute to differential vascular dilation and constriction that were measured by wire myography. Importantly, the composition of aortic cells, their gene expression profiles and their regulatory intercellular networks broadly changed in response to high fat/salt/glucose conditions. Notably, the abdominal aorta showed the most dramatic changes in cellular composition, particularly involving ECs, fibroblasts and myeloid cells with cardiovascular risk factor-related regulons and gene expression networks. Our study elucidates the nature and range of aortic cell diversity,with implications for the treatment of metabolic pathologies.

Interaction between heterogeneous,nanometer-sized building blocks(NSBBs)is fascinating from viewpoints of both structures and *** report the co-assembly of fullerene C_(60) and a chiral silver nanocluster(Ag_(6)),which yields C_(60) nanoarchitecture decorated with a small amount of Ag_(6).While Ag_(6) exhibits circular dichroism(CD)signal mainly in the ultraviolet(UV)region,the signal of the C_(60)-Ag_(6) hybrid extends to visible region(over 700 nm).Up to five pairs of CD signals were distinguished,which match well with the absorption of the C_(60) *** successful chirality transfer from the guest of Ag_(6) to C_(60)-dominated supramolecular system indicates that the“sergeants and soldiers”effect is valid in architectonics of *** addition,the doping of Ag_(6) leads to pronounced nonlinear optical response,paving a new way for the development of chiral optical materials.

To identify the endemic error of the precise point positioning which cannot be weakened or eliminated in precise point positioning (PPP) zero-difference model, the 24 h observation data acquired from CHAN station on Oct 31st, 2010, were adopted for analyses, different correction models of various errors were discussed and their influences on traditional zero-difference model were analyzed. The results show that the errors cannot be ignored. They must be corrected with suitable models and estimated with auxiliary parameters. The influence magnitudes of all errors are defined, and the results have guiding significance to improve the accuracy of precise point positioning zero-difference model.

The power conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells(PSCs) has rapidly risen from 3.8% to over25.0% in just about one decade, which attracts a lot of attention from the scientific and engineering ***, some challenges remain, hindering the progress of commercialization such as intrinsic and extrinsic(environmental) stabilities, which can be improved by an interface and structural engineering. In recent years, some reports indicate that the interfacial engineering using carbon-based nanomaterials additives plays a crucial role in the process of charge carriers and perovskite crystal growth and thereby enhances device performance and operational stability. Here, we review the development of the varieties of carbon-based nanomaterials applications in PSCs, such as hole-transporting layers(HTLs), electron-transporting layers(ETLs), perovskite bulk layer, and their ***, we proposed a further suggestion about the optimized preparation conditions for the preparation of PSCs, which may inspire the researcher to discover, design,and manufacture the more efficient perovskite solar cells in academic and industry.

Influence of cryogenic thermal cycling treatment on the thermophysical properties of carbon/carbon composites between room temperature and 1900℃

Influence of cryogenic thermal cycling treatment （from -120 ℃ to 120 ℃ at 1.3 × 10^-3 Pa） on the thermo- physical properties including thermal conductivity （TC）, thermal diffusivity （TD）, specific heat （SH） and coefficient of thermal expansion （CTE） ranging from room temperature to 1900 ℃ of carbon/carbon （C/C） composites in x-y and z directions were studied. Test results showed that fiber/matrix interracial debonding, fiber pull-out and microcracks occurred after the cryogenic thermal treatment and they increased significantly with the cycle number increasing, while cycled more than 30 times, the space ofmicrodefects reduced obviously due to the accumulation of cyclic thermal stress. TC, TD, SH and CTE of the cryogenic thermal cycling treated C/C composites were first decreased and then increased in both directions （x-y and z directions） with the increase of thermal cycles. A model regarding the heat conduction in cryogenic thermal cycling treated C/C composites was proposed.

Two experiments from the Fermilab, E989 and CDF II, have reported two anomalies for muon g-2 and W-boson mass that may indicate the new physics at the low energy scale. Here we examine the possibility of a common origin of these two anomalies in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. Considering various experimental and astrophysical constraints such as the Higgs mass, collider data, flavor physics, dark matter relic density, and direct detection experiments, we find that lighter electroweakinos and sleptons can generate sufficient contributions to muon g-2 and mW. Moreover, the corresponding bino-like neutralino dark matter mass is in the ~ 180-280 Ge V range. Interestingly, the favored dark matter(DM) mass region can soon be entirely probed by ongoing direct detection experiments like Panda X-4T, XENONn T, LUX-ZEPLIN, and DARWIN.

Tool wear has an important influence on the residual stress distribution on the machined ***,it will influence the fatigue life of finished workpiece. In this research,the hard turning process of hardened die steel Cr12 MoV was studied by using PCBN tool with considering tool wear. Based on the numerical treatment of residual stress,the dispersion and distribution curves of different tool wear were fitted,and the influence mechanism of tool wear on the residual stress distribution of machined surface was *** on the theory of fatigue mechanics and mathematical statistics,the mathematical model for difference of stress dispersion and fatigue life was established. The rotating and bending tests were carried out on the standard parts after cutting process for the workpiece. The influence of tool wear on fatigue life was revealed by fracture surface morphology and fatigue life study. The results provide theoretical support for control of residual stress and the fatigue property of the machined surface under the actual working conditions.

Nuclear fusion has enormous potential to greatly affect global energy production. The next-generation tokamak ITER, which is aimed at demonstrating the feasibility of energy production from fusion on a commercial scale, is under construction. Wall erosion, material transport, and fuel retention are known factors that shorten the lifetime of ITER during tokamak operation and give rise to safety issues. These factors, which must be understood and solved early in the process of fusion reactor design and development, are among the most important concerns for the community of plasma-wall interaction researchers. To date, laser techniques are among the most promising methods that can solve these open ITER issues, and laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is an ideal candidate for online monitoring of the walls of current and next-generation (such as ITER) fusion devices. LIBS is a widely used technique for various applications. It has been considered recently as a promising tool for analyzing plasma-facing components in fusion devices in situ. This article reviews the experiments that have been performed by many research groups to assess the feasibility of LIBS for this purpose.
