H_2 generation kinetics/thermodynamics and hydrolysis mechanism of high-performance La-doped Mg-Ni alloys in Na Cl solution——A large-scale and quick strategy to get hydrogen

In this work,La-doped Mg-Ni multiphase alloys were prepared by resistance melting furnace(RMF)and then modified by high-energy ball milling(HEBM).The hydrolysis H_(2) generation kinetics/thermodynamics of prepared alloys in Na Cl solutions have been investigated with the help of nonlinear and linear fitting by Avrami-Erofeev and Arrhenius *** the microstructure information before and after hydrolysis and thermodynamics fitting results,the hydrolysis H_(2) generation mechanism based on nucleation&growth has been *** final H_(2) generation capacities of 0La,5La,10La and 15 La alloys are 677,653,641 and 770 m L·g^(-1)H_(2) in 240 min at291 K,***,the final H_(2) generation capacities of HEBM 0La,5La,10La and 15 La alloys are 632,824,611 and 653 m L·g^(-1)H_(2) in 20 min at 291 K,*** as-cast 15La alloy and HEMB 5La alloy present the best H_(2) production rates and final H_(2) production capacities,especially the HEBM 5La can rapidly achieve high H_(2) generation capacity(670 and 824 m L·g^(-1)H_(2) )at low temperature(291 K)within short time(5 and 20 min).The difference between the H_(2) generation capacities is mainly originated from the initial nucleation rate of Mg(OH)_(2) and the subsequent processes affected by the microstructures and phase compositions of the hydrolysis *** low initial nucleation rate and fully growth of Mg(OH)_(2) nucleus are the premise of high H_(2) generation capacity due to the hydrolysis H_(2) generation process consisted by the nucleation,growth and contacting of Mg(OH)_(2) *** utilization H_(2) by designing solid state H_(2) generators using optimized Mg-based alloys is expected to be a feasible H_(2) generation strategy at the moment.

The authors examine extreme summer temperatures over East China during 19844004 using a regional climate model named CREM （the Climate version of Regional Eta-coordinate Model）, which was developed by LASG/IAP. The results show that the main features of the extreme summer temperatures over East China are reproduced well by CREM, and the skill for the minimum temperature is higher than that for the maximum tem- perature, especially along the Yangtze-Huai River Valley （YHV）. The simulated extreme temperatures are lower than those of observation, especially for the maximum temperature. The bias of extreme temperatures is consistent with the cold bias of the climatological mean summer surface air temperature. The skill of the model in simulating the interannual variability of extreme temperatures increases from north to south. The simulated interannual variation of the minimum temperature is more reasonable than the maximum temperature. The underestimation of net solar radiation at the surface leads to a cold bias of the climatological mean temperature. Furthermore, the model underestimates the light and moderate rain, while overestimates heavy rain. It causes the simulated minimum temperature more reasonable than the maximum temperature.

Bakanae disease,caused by Fusarium fujikuroi,poses a significant threat to rice production and has been observed in most rice-growing *** disease symptoms caused by different pathogens may vary,including elongated and weak stems,slender and yellow leaves,and dwarfism,as *** disease is likely to cause necrosis of diseased seedlings,and it may cause a large area of infection in the field through the transmission of ***,early disease surveillance plays a crucial role in securing rice *** monitoring methods are both time-consuming and labor-intensive and cannot be broadly *** this study,a combination of hyperspectral imaging technology and deep learning algorithms were used to achieve in situ detection of rice seedlings infected with bakanae *** data were obtained on the 9th,15th,and 21st day after rice infection to explore the physiological and biochemical performance,which helps to deepen the research on the disease *** data were obtained over these same periods of infection,and a deep learning model,named Rice Bakanae Disease-Visual Geometry Group(RBD-VGG),was established by leveraging hyperspectral imaging technology and deep learning *** on this model,an average accuracy of 92.2%was achieved on the 21st day of *** also achieved an accuracy of 79.4%as early as the 9th *** characteristic wavelengths were extracted to increase the feasibility of using portable spectral equipment for field ***,the model offers an efficient and non-destructive surveillance methodology for monitoring bakanae disease,thereby providing an efficient avenue for disease prevention and control.

Let Hn be an orientable handlebody of genus n. It has been proved that for n not less than 2, there exists an annulus-busting curve in δHm. In the present paper, we prove that for n not less than 2, there exists an essential simple closed curve C in OHm which intersects each essential planar surface in Hn non-emptily. Furthermore, we show that for n not less than 3, a pants-busting curve must also be an annulus-busting curve.

Khovanov type homology is a generalization of Khovanov *** main result of this paper is to give a recursive formula for Khovanov type homology of pretzel knots P(-n,-m, m). The computations reveal that the rank of the homology of pretzel knots is an invariant of n. The proof is based on a "shortcut" and two lemmas that recursively reduce the computational complexity of Khovanov type homology.

A novel Au11Cd nanocluster was synthesized by developing a combined method and controlling the kinetics, and another Au26Cd5nanocluster was also obtained after the conditions were changed in the same reaction, which could transfer to Au11Cd in a two-way style. Both alloy nanoclusters can photocatalyze the production of singlet oxygen(1O_(2)) and exhibit enhanced efficiencies in photocatalyzing two kinds of organic oxidations involving singlet oxygen compared with their non-alloyed mother nanoclusters, indicating that the Cd-doping might be an efficient way to enhance the photocatalysis performance of gold nanoclusters and metal nanoclusters are promising photocatalysts for organic oxidation involving singlet oxygen.

Shunt dysfunction is a major complication of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS). Ultrasonography is a preferred method of shunt follow-up after TIPS, but some misjudgments can occur in cases of shunt dysfunction due to peculiarities of the VIATORR stent. Here we report one case and suggest that the first ultrasound evaluation for patients who received TIPS procedure with VIATORR stent should be performed one month after the procedure.

The effect of UV-B radiation enhancement at experimental doses of 0.00,0.24,0.48,0.72,0.96,and 1.20 kJ/m 2 on the population dynamics of the rotifer Brachionus urceus feeding on the alga Chlorella *** studied under controlled laboratory conditions using clonal culture and life-table *** results show that UV-B radiation treatment significantly shortened the survival time of the rotifer （P 0.05）： The longest survival time （336 h） occurred in the control （0.00 kJ/m 2 ） while the shortest （222 h） occurred when exposed to the highest UV-B radiation treatment （1.20 kJ/m 2 ）.The fecundity of the rotifer *** was enhanced by the lower UV-B radiation treatment （0.24 and 0.48 kJ/m 2 ） but inhibited by the higher treatments （0.96 and 1.20 kJ/m 2 ）.Life expectancy also was obviously affected by UV-B radiation （P 0.05）.The highest life expectancy occurred in the control （0.00 kJ/m 2 ）,and it became shorter with increasing doses of UV-B *** resutls in the present study indicate that the life expectancy of the rotifer *** can be used as an indicator for UV-B radiation enhancement.
