Described is a patient with concurrent discrete gliomas: a pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma with anaplastic features and ananaplastic oligoastrocytoma. The distinct and morphologically dissimilar tumors demonstrated similar genetic abnormalities by loss ofheterozygosity and comparative genome hybridization. Clonality and proteomic analyses highlighted an independent origin for thetwo tumors. Proteomic methods may prove useful in cases where the differential diagnosis and pathogenetic origin of tumors areuncertain, as well as more globally for its ability to provide insight into specific expression of proteins that may serve as uniquemarkers of tumorigenesis or as novel targets of therapy.

目的:产后抑郁是一种常见的精神障碍,对产妇、新生儿和其它家庭成员导致广泛的伤害。产后抑郁的病因学研究大多是基于西方样本,对其中的社会文化原因也缺乏实证研究。本研究从人口学、心理社会及种族文化因素等方面探讨中国妇女产后抑郁症状学的决定因素。方法:在大学附属综合医院产前门诊连续收集登记的中国孕妇959例,从她们第一次产前检查开始评估(基线),以后分别在孕期的最后3个月、产后即刻和产后3个月时评估。调查涉及的危险因素分6个方面:人口学和社会经济背景,躯体疾病及精神疾病病史, 产前抑郁情绪,围生期应激源,人际关系,和种族文化环境。采用等级回归进行分析。因变量是产后3个月时的抑郁评分。结果:决定产后抑郁症状学的因素有:目前的生活事件,缺乏社会支持,婚姻不满意,既往有故意自伤史,以及产前存在抑郁情绪。婆媳关系不好和没有陪月在产后阶段也与抑郁评分高有关联。结论:西方研究所确立的产后抑郁危险因素大体适用于中国妇女。产褥期的社会文化特点同样对产妇情绪有影响。

Improvement in tensile strength of extruded Mg-5Bi alloy through addition of Sn and its underlying strengthening mechanisms

Through an investigation of the microstructure and mechanical properties of extruded Mg–5Bi–x Sn(BT5x, x = 0, 2, 4, and 6 wt%) alloys,this study demonstrates that the addition of Sn to an Mg–5Bi binary alloy significantly improves the tensile strength of the extruded *** the extruded alloys exhibit a typical basal fiber texture and a partially dynamically recrystallized(DRXed) microstructure consisting of fine DRXed grains and coarse un DRXed grains. As the Sn content increases from 0 wt% to 6 wt%, the average size of the DRXed grains decreases from 4.2 to 2.8 μm owing to the increase in the amount of precipitates via their grain-boundary pinning effect. The extruded B5 and BT52 alloys contain numerous Mg_(3)Bi_(2) precipitates, but their size and number density are smaller and higher, respectively, in the latter *** Mg_(2)Sn precipitates as well as Mg_(3)Bi_(2)precipitates are present in the extruded BT54 and BT56 alloys, and the number density of the Mg_(2)Sn precipitates is higher in the latter alloy because of its higher Sn content. The addition of 2 wt% Sn to the B5 alloy significantly improves the yield strength(ys) and ultimate tensile strength(UTS) of the extruded alloy—by 76 and 57 MPa, respectively. This drastic improvement is the combined outcome of enhanced grain-boundary hardening, precipitation hardening, and solid-solution hardening effects induced by the refined DRXed grains, numerous precipitates, and Sn solute atoms, respectively. The further addition of 2 wt% or 4 wt% Sn to the BT52 alloy leads to moderate increments in the ys and UTS of the extruded alloy. Specifically, each addition of 2 wt% Sn increases the ys and UTS by ~26 and ~20 MPa, respectively, which is attributed mainly to the additional precipitation hardening effect induced by the Mg_(2)Sn precipitates.

AIM:To evaluate the efficacy and acceptability of magnesium citrate and a single dose of oral sodium phosphate(45 mL) solution for morning colonoscopy bowel preparation. METHODS:A total of 159 patients were randomly assigned to receive two split doses of 90 mg of sodium phosphate(GroupⅠ,n=79) or magnesium citrate(250 mL,the day before the procedure) followed by 45 mL of sodium phosphate(the day of procedure,GroupⅡ,n= 80) .The quality of bowel cleansing and the acceptability of each regimen were compared,including the satisfaction,taste,willing to repeat and adverse effects of each regimen. RESULTS:The quality of bowel cleansing of GroupⅡ was as good as that of GroupⅠ(An Aronchick scale score of good or excellent:70.9%vs 81.0%,respectively,P=0.34;the Ottawa system score:4.4±2.6 vs 3.8 ±3.0,respectively,P=0.76) .There was no statisticallysignificant difference between both groups with regard to acceptability,including the satisfaction,taste and willingness to repeat the regimen.A significantly greater number of older patients(over 65 years old) in Group Ⅱgraded the overall satisfaction as satisfactory(48.1% vs 78.1%,respectively;GroupⅠvs GroupⅡ,P=0.01) . There were no significant adverse reactions. CONCLUSION:Magnesium citrate and a single dose of sodium phosphate was as effective and tolerable as the conventional sodium phosphate regimen and is a satisfactory option.

A spatial and temporal variation in physiochemical parameters in the southeastern Yellow Sea （ys） is in- vestigated in the spring and summer of 2009 to 2011. Nutrient show a strong negative relationship with chlorophyll a （Chl a） concentration in spring, and the subsurface chlorophyll a maxima （SCM） layer was associated with the nitracline in summer. In summer, the SCM was usually found within or above the pyc- nocline and at the depths of shoals from the open sea to the coastal sea due to tidal and/or topographical fronts in the southernmost study area. High Chl a concentrations were found in the central southern ys, where the ys cold water layer expanded under the pycnocline and encountered water masses during spring and summer. After a typhoon in the summer of2011, Chl a concentration increased, especially in the central southern ys, where cold waters occurred below the pycnocline. The results suggest that the development of thermohaline fronts may play an important role in the growth and accumulation of phytoplankton biomass in the upper layer of the southeastern ys during spring and summer.

The Yellow Sea Cold Water Mass （ysCWM） is one of the important water mass in the Yellow Sea （ys）. It is distributed in the lower layer in the Yellow Sea central trough with the temperature less than 10℃ and the salinity lower than 33.0. To understand the variability of the ysCWM, the hydrographic data obtained in April and August during 2009-2011 are analyzed in the southeastern Yellow Sea. In August 2011, relatively warm and saline water compared with that in 2009 and 2010 was detected in the lower layer in the Yellow Sea central area. Although the typhoon passed before the cruise, the salinity in the Yellow Sea central trough is much higher than the previous season. It means that the saline event cannot be explained by the typhoon but only by the intrusion of saline water during the previous winter. In April 2011, actually, warm and saline water （T 〉 10~C, S 〉34） was observed in the deepest water depth of the southeastern area of the Yellow Sea. The wind data show that the northerly wind in 2011 winter is stronger than in 2009 and 2010 winter season. The strong northerly wind can trigger the intrusion of warm and saline Yellow Sea Warm Current. Therefore, it is proposed that the strong northerly wind in winter season leads to the intrusion of the Yellow Sea Warm Current into the Yellow Sea central trough and influenced a variability of the ysCWM in summer.
