Objective:This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the complications unique to ureteral reconstruction in adults,emphasizing their presentation,diagnosis,and management in the treatment of ureteral structure ***:This review involves an in-depth analysis of existing literature and case studies pertaining to ureteral reconstruction,with a focus on examining the range of complications that can arise *** attention is given to the presentation of each complication,the diagnostic process involved,and the subsequent management ***:Ureteral reconstruction can treat ureteral stricture disease with low morbidity;however,complications,although uncommon,can have severe *** most notable complications include urinary extravasation,stricture recurrence,urinary tract infections,compartment syndrome,symptomatic vesicoureteral reflux,and Boari flap *** complication presents unique diagnostic challenges and requires specific management ***:Ureteral reconstruction is a highly effective treatment for ureteral stricture *** a strong understanding of the potential complications that patients may experience following ureteral reconstruction is not only critical to adequately counsel patients but also facilitate prompt diagnosis and management of complications when they arise.

BACKGROUND Breast conservation surgery(BCS)with adjuvant radiotherapy has become a gold standard in the treatment of early-stage breast cancer,significantly reducing the risk of tumor ***,this treatment is associated with adverse effects,including the rare but aggressive radiation-induced angiosarcoma(RIAS).Despite its rarity and nonspecific initial presentation,RIAS presents a challenging diagnosis,emphasizing the importance of imaging techniques for early detection and accurate *** SUMMARY We present a case of a 48-year-old post-menopausal woman who developed skin ecchymosis on the right breast seven years after receiving BCS and adjuvant radiotherapy for breast *** mammography and ultrasound were inconclusive,showing post-treatment changes but failing to identify the underlying ***-enhanced breast magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)revealed diffuse skin thickening and nodularity with distinctive enhan-cement kinetics,leading to the diagnosis of *** case highlights the crucial role of MRI in diagnosing and determining the extent of RIAS,facilitating timely and appropriate surgical *** Breast MRI is crucial for detecting RIAS,especially when mammography and ultrasound are inconclusive.

BACKGROUND Congestive ischemic colitis is a rare subtype of ischemic colitis with an unknown *** conservative management,such as fasting,no established treatment exists;therefore,surgical intervention should be considered in some cases if symptoms *** literature suggests that anti-inflam-matory agents may effectively treat congestive ischemic *** SUMMARY We present the case of a 68-year-old female patient who underwent laparoscopic left hemicolectomy for transverse colon cancer 3 years ***,follow-up included an annual colonoscopy and abdominal computed tomography(CT)at a local ***,progressive erythema and edema of the sigmoid colon were observed 1 year *** admission to our hospital,she complained of abdominal pain and *** CT showed thickening of the sigmoid colon walls,and colonoscopy revealed erythema,edema,and multiple ulcers with exudate in the sigmoid *** angiography showed engorgement of the sigmoid vasa recta without any vascular *** diagnosis was congestive ischemic colitis,and we treated the patient with anti-inflammatory *** 2 mo of glucocorticoid therapy(20 mg once daily)and 7 mo of 5-aminosalicylate therapy(1 g twice daily),the ulcers completely *** has not experienced any recurrence for 2 *** Anti-inflammatory therapy,specifically glucocorticoids and 5-aminosalicylate,has demonstrated promising efficacy and introduces potential novel treatment options for congestive ischemic colitis.
