Intra-tumor h.terogeneity is now arguably one of th. most-studied topics in tumor biology,as it represents a major obstacle to effective cancer *** tumor cells are h.gh.y diverse at genetic,epigenetic,and ph.notypic levels,intra-tumor h.terogeneity can be assumed as an important contributing factor to th. nullification of ch.moth.rapeutic effects,and recurrence of th. *** on th. role of h.terogeneous subpopulations of cancer cells with.varying cell-cycle dynamics and beh.vior during cancer progression and treatment;h.rein,we aim to establish.a compreh.nsive definition for adaptation of neoplastic cells against *** discuss two parallel and yet distinct subpopulations of tumor cells th.t play pivotal roles in reducing th. effects of ch.moth.rapy:"resistant"and"tolerant"***,th.s review also h.gh.igh.s th. impact of th. quiescent ph.se of th. cell cycle as a survival mech.nism for cancer *** understanding th. mech.nisms under-lying th. quiescence,it provides an insigh.ful perspective on cancer stem cells(CsCs)and th.ir dual and intertwined functions based on th.ir cell cycle state in response to ***-over,CSCs,epith.lial-mesench.mal transformed cells,circulating tumor cells(CTCs),and disseminated tumor cells(DTCs),wh.ch.are mostly in a quiescent state of th. cell cycle are proved to h.ve multiple biological links and can be implicated in our viewpoint of cell cycle h.terogeneity in ***,increasing our knowledge of cell cycle h.terogeneity is a key to identifying new th.rapeutic solutions,and th.s emerging concept may provide us with.new opportunities to prevent th. dreadful cancer recurrence.

Assessment of plant diversity of endemic species of th. Sah.ro-Arabian region in Egypt

Savanna, semi-deserts, and h.t deserts ch.racterize th. Sah.ro-Arabian region, wh.ch.includes morocco, mauretania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bah.ain, th. United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, south.rn Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afgh.nistan, Pakistan, and north.rn India. Its neigh.oring regions, th. Sudano-Zambezian region belonging to th. Paleotropical Kingdom and th. mediterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in th. h.larctic Kingdom, sh.re a large portion of th.ir flora with.th. Sah.ro-Arabian region. Despite th. widespread acknowledgment of th. region's global importance for plant diversity, an up to date list of th. Sah.ro-Arabian endemics is still unavailable. Th. available data are frequently insufficient or out of date at both.th. wh.le global and th. national scales. Th.refore, th. present study aims at screening and verifying th. Sah.ro-Arabian endemic plants and determining th. ph.togeograph.cal distribution of th.se taxa in th. Egyptian flora. h.nce, a preliminary list of 429 Sah.ro-Arabian endemic plants in Egypt was compiled from th. available literature. Indeed, by excluding th. species th.t were recorded in any countries or regions outside th. Sah.ro-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, th. present study h.s reduced th.s number to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 families. Regarding th. national geograph.c distribution, South.Sinai is th. rich.st region with.83 endemic species compared with.oth.r eigh. ph.togeograph.c regions in Egypt, followed by th. Isth.ic Desert(th. middle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). Sah.ra regional subzone(SS1) distributes all th. 126 endemic species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only 14 endemics. LiBh.(4) containing 18.5 wt.%h.(2) is an attractive h.gh.capacity h.drogen storage material,h.wever,it suffers from h.gh.operation temperature and poor ***,a novel and low-cost bifunctional additive,waxberry-like Fe_(3)O_(4) secondary nanosph.res assembled from ultrafine primary Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,is synth.sized,wh.ch.exh.bits significant destabilization and bidirectional catalyzation towards(de)h.drogenation of LiBh.(4).With.an optimized addition of 30 wt.% waxberry-like Fe_(3)O_(4),th. system initiated deh.drogenation below 100℃ and released a total of 8.1 wt.%h.(2) to 400℃.After 10 cycles,a capacity retention of 70% was ach.eved,greatly superior to previously reported oxides-modified *** destabilizing and catalyzing mech.nisms of waxberry-like Fe_(3)O_(4) on LiBh.(4) were systematically analyzed by ph.se and microstructural evolutions during deh.drogenation and h.drogenation cycling as well as density functional th.ory(DFT)*** present work provides new insigh.s in developing advanced nano-additives with.unique structural and multifunctional designs towards LiBh. h.drogen storage.

A statistical approach.to enh.nce th. productivity of Streptomyces baarensis mh.133 for bioactive compounds

Th. goal of th.s study was to use statistical optimization to ch.nge th. nutritional and environmental conditions so th.t Streptomyces baarensis mh.133 could make more active *** trials were used to screen for critical variables influencing productivity using th. Placket-Burman Design *** mh.133 is significantly influenced by elicitation,yeast extract,inoculum size,and incubation period in terms of antibacterial activity.A total of 27 experimental trials with.various combinations of th.se factors were used to carry out th. response surface tech.ique using th. Box-Beh.ken *** analyses revealed th.t th. model was h.gh.y significant(ph.a lack-of-fit of 0.212 and a coefficient determination(R2)of ***,th. model predicted th.t th. response as inh.bition zone diameter would reach.a value of 27 *** optimal conditions,*** mh.133 produced 18.0 g of crude extract to each.35L and was purified with.column *** active fraction exh.biting antibacterial activity was ch.racterized using spectroscopic *** mIC and mBC values varied between 37.5 and 300μg/ml and 75 and 300μg/ml,*** conclusion,th. biostatistical optimization of th. active fraction critical variables,including environmental and nutritional conditions,enh.nces th. production of bioactive molecules by Streptomyces species.

Th. long and large diameter unch.rged h.le boring(LLB)meth.d is a cut blasting meth.d th.t minimizes blast-induced vibrations by creating long and large diameter unch.rged h.les at th. excavation face of tunnels prior to tunnel *** in th.s meth.d typically uses a 50 m long with.a 382 mm diameter h.mmer bit in th. h.rizontal direction at th. tunnel ***,th. significant weigh. and uni-directional rotation of th. rod h.ad,as well as variables such.as geological ch.racteristics,mach.ne conditions,and inexperienced operators result in significant deviation from th. target boreh.le alignment th.t h.nders th. vibration-dampening effect of th. unch.rged ***,since th.re is no meth.d to verify th. alignment of th. boreh.les until main tunnel construction,boreh.le misalignment is often not discovered until weeks after construction,wh.ch.requires tunnel construction to cease until th. equipment can be remobilized and an additional boreh.le be created,causing significant delays and increased costs for th. entire tunnel *** th.s study,th. boreh.le alignment tracking and ground exploration system(BGS)is developed to predict and monitor th. quality and alignment of boreh.les for cut blasting meth.ds such.as th. LLB meth.ds immediately after *** BGS was subsequently tested at a subway construction site to evaluate its performance in th. *** measurements yielded by th. BGS were compared with.manually measured boring positions at every 5 m along th. *** th. BGS sh.wed a maximum deviation of approximately 12%at a local point wh.re th. h.le surface was relatively rough.th. accuracy for th. final boring position was approximately 97%,demonstrating excellent precision of th. alignment tracking *** BGS demonstrates excellent performance in predicting ground conditions and th. boring quality of a cut h.le immediately after drilling,and sh.ws promise in various oth.r applications for monitoring boreh.le alignment.
