Impacts of central-Pacific El ni.o and physical drivers on eastern Pacific bigeye tuna

Bigeye tuna Thunnus obesus is an important migratory species that forages deeply,and El ni.o events highly influence its distribution in the eastern Pacific *** sea surface temperature is widely recogni.ed as the main factor affecting bigeye tuna(BET)distribution during El ni.o events,the roles of different types of El ni.o and subsurface oceani. signals,such as ocean heat content and mixed layer depth,remain *** conducted A spatial-temporal analysis to investigate the relationship among BET distribution,El ni.o events,and the underlying oceani. signals to address this knowledge *** used monthly purse seine fisheries data of BET in the eastern tropical Pacific Ocean(ETPO)from 1994 to 2012 and extracted the central-Pacific El ni.o(CPEN)indices based on ni.o 3 and ni.o ***,we employed Explainable Artificial Intelligence(XAI)models to identify the main patterns and feature importance of the six environmental variables and used information flow analysis to determine the causality between the selected factors and BET ***,we analyzed Argo datasets to calculate the vertical,horizontal,and zonal mean temperature differences during CPEN and normal years to clarify the oceani. thermodynamic structure differences between the two types of *** findings reveal that BET distribution during the CPEN years is mainly driven by advection feedback of subsurface warmer thermal signals and vertically warmer habitats in the CPEN domain area,especially in high-yield fishing *** high frequency of CPEN events will likely lead to the westward shift of fisheries centers.

Study on the green extraction of corncob xylan by deep eutectic solvent

Recent progress in MnBi2nTe3n+1 intrinsic magnetic topological insulators: crystal growth, magnetism and chemical disorder

The search for magnetic topological materials has been at the forefront of condensed matter research for their potential to host exotic states such as axion insulators, magnetic Weyl semimetals, Chern insulators,etc. To date, the MnBi2nTe3n+1family is the only group of materials showcasing van der Waals-layered structures, intrinsic magnetism and non-trivial band topology without trivial bands at the Fermi level. The interplay between magnetism and band topology in this family has led to the proposal of various topological phenomena, including the quantum anomalous Hall effect, quantum spin Hall effect and quantum magnetoelectric effect. Among these, the quantum anomalous Hall effect has been experimentally observed at record-high temperatures, highlighting the unprecedented potential of this family of materials in fundamental science and technological innovation. In this paper, we provide a comprehensive review of the research progress in this intrinsic magnetic topological insulator family, with a focus on single-crystal growth, characterization of chemical disorder, mani.ulation of magnetism through chemical substitution and external pressure, and important questions that remain to be conclusively answered.

The Place of Nursing Theory in the Management of Post-Operative Infections in a Hospital Environment: Case of Cibitoke District Hospital

Introduction: Post-operative infections, such as surgical site infections (SSIs), are a signi.icant concern in healthcare settings. Nurses play a crucial role in the prevention and management of these infections. The use of nursing theory could contribute to the prevention of SSIs. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of nursing theory in the management of surgical site infections (SSIs) in a hospital environment. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted using descriptive and analytical methods to assess the role of nursing theory in the management of Post-operative infections (POI) in a hospital setting in October 2023. The study population consisted of nurses working in the Surgery, Emergency, and Materni.y uni.s at Cibitoke District Hospital. A sample size of 71 nurses working full or part time in the Surgery were invited to participate in this study. A questionnaire was used to collect the data, and SPSS version 21.0 software was used for analysis. Results: The study found that nursing theory did not have any statistically signi.icant place in the management of POI (p-value = 0.523). However, the results showed that experience was the only signi.icant factor influencing the management of POI (p-value = 0.004). This is explained by the analysis of the net effects of the explanatory variable where we noticed that those who had more experience were more likely to manage post-operative infections. The participants’ knowledge regarding nursing theory in the management was poor as they scored less than 30% in all the variables used to measure their knowledge. Conclusion: The study revealed that nurses’ knowledge of nursing theories and their applications in the management of SSIs was poor. Continuing professional development, curriculum review, and in-service traini.g were highly recommended.

Hydrometallurgical recovery of lithium carbonate and iron phosphate from blended cathode materials of spent lithium-ion battery

The recycling of cathode materials from spent lithium-ion battery has attracted extensive attention,but few research have focused on spent blended cathode *** reality,the blended materials of lithium iron phosphate and ternary are widely used in electric vehicles,so it is critical to design an effective recycling *** this study,an efficient method for recovering Li and Fe from the blended cathode materials of spent LiFePO_(4)and Lini.(x)Co_(y)Mn_(1-x-y)O_(2)batteries is ***,87%A1 was removed by alkali ***,91.65%Li,72.08%ni.64.6%Co and 71.66%Mn were further separated by selective leaching with H_(2)SO_(4)and H_(2)O_(2).Li,ni.Co and Mn in solution were recovered in the form of Li_(2)CO_(3)and hydroxide ***,98.38%Fe was leached from the residue by two stage process,and it is recovered as FePO_(4)·2H_(2)O with a purity of 99.5%by *** and P were present in FePO_(4)·2H_(2)O in amounts of 28.34%and 15.98%,***,the drift and control of various components were discussed,and cost-benefit analysis was used to assess the feasibility of potential application.

Dual modification of Lini.(0.83)Co_(0.11)Mn_(0.06)O_(2) cathode materials by K^(+) doping and Li_(3)PO_(4) coating for lithium ions batteries

Li_(3)PO_(4)@Li_(0.99)K_(0.01)ni.(0.83)Co_(0.11)Mn_(O.06)O_(2)(NCM-KP) cathode powders are synthesized via K^(+)doping in calcination processes and H_3PO_4 coating in sol-gel processes.K^(+) precisely enters into the lattice to widen the(003) plane to 0.4746 nm with a lower cationi. disordered degree of 1.87%.Moreover,the surface residual lithium salts are treated by H_3PO_4 to generate a uni.orm Li_(3)PO_(4) coating layer of approximately 11.41 nm,which completely covers on the surface of secondary spherical particles to improve the interfacial *** 25℃,the NCM-KP electrode delivers a discharge specific capacity of 148.9 mAh·g^(-1) with a remarkable capacity retention ratio of 84.1% after 200 cycles at 1.0C and retains a high reversible specific capacity of 154.4 mAh·g^(-1) at *** at 1.0C and 60℃,it can maintain a reversible discharge specific capacity of 114.6 mAh·g^(-1) with 0.21% of capacity decay per cycle after 200 cycles,which is signi.icantly lower than 0.40% for the pristine NCM ***,the charge transfer resistance of 238.89 Ω for the NCM-KP electrode is signi.icantly lower than 947.41 Ω for the pristine NCM one by restricting the interfacial side ***,combini.g K+doping and Li_(3)PO_(4) coating is an effective strategy to enable the signi.icant improvement of the electrochemical property of high-ni.kel cathode materials,which may be mainly attributed to the widened diffusion pathway and the formed Li_(3)PO_(4) protective layer,thus promoting Li~+diffusion rate and preventing the erosion of HF.

Regional features of pollen R-values in China

Establishing a quantitative relationship between modern pollen and vegetation remains a pivotal but intricate pursuit within the field of Quaternary *** R-value,a well-established and traditional metric characterized by its simplicity and direct applicability,serves to calibrate the nonlinear disparities between surface pollen and modern *** study entails the construction of a comprehensive pollen R-value dataset for China derived from R-values published between 1987 and *** dataset,compiled after rigorous screeni.g,calibration,and standardization processes,encompasses 898 modern pollen sampling sites and 2115 pollen R-value data entries,encapsulating 152 pollen taxa spanni.g 65 families and 113 *** the extracted R-values yielded the following insights:(1)A macrospatial analysis validates previously established knowledge at a site-specific ***,pollen R-value variations across China are statistically *** two-thirds of pollen taxa exhibit underrepresentation(e.g.,Taxodiaceae,Corylus,ni.raria,Tamarix,Cyperaceae,Poaceae,and Fabaceae),while the remaini.g one-third display overrepresentation(e.g.,Pinus,Picea,Betula,Ephedra,Chenopodiaceae,and Artemisia).The degree of underrepresentation surpasses that of overrepresentation,and the representation patterns of Castanea,Quercus,Polygonaceae,and Asteraceae are contingent upon vegetation types.(2)Pollen R-values follow distinct spatial distribution patterns within *** the woody vegetation region of eastern China,R-values progressively decline from north to south,correlating with rising temperatures and ***,in herbaceous vegetation regions of northern and western China,R-values decrease from east to west and from northeast to southwest,corresponding to increased ***,pollen R-values mani.est variation contingent on pollen taxa,vegetation types,and climatic regions,even differing for the same taxa across varying
