High-entropy diboride has been arousing considerable interest in recent ***,the low toughness and damage tolerance limit its applications as ultra-high-temperature structural *** we report that a unique SiB_(6) additive has been first incorporated as boron and silicon sources to fabricate a high-entropy boride(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2)–SiC composite though one-step boro/carbothermal reduction reactive sintering.A synergetic effect of high-entropy sluggish diffusion and SiC secondary phase retarded the grain growth of the(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2))B_(2)–51SiC *** small grain size was beneficial to shorten the diffusion path for mass transport,thereby enhancing the relative density to~99.3%.These results in an increase of fracture toughness from~5.2 in HEBS-1900 to~7.7 MPa·m^(1/2) in HEBS-2000,which corresponded to a large improvement of 48%.The improvement was attributed to a mixed mode of intergranular and transgranular cracking for offering effective pinning in crack propagation,resulting from balanced grain boundary strength collectively affected by improved densification,solid solution strengthening,and incorporation of SiC secondary phase.

Sb_(2)Se_(3) with unique one-dimensional(1D) crystal structure exhibits exceptional deformation tolerance,demonstrating great application potential in flexible ***,the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) photovoltaic devices is temporarily limited by the complicated intrinsic defects and the undesirable contact ***,a high-quality Sb_(2)Se_(3) absorber layer with large crystal grains and benign [hkl] growth orientation can be first prepared on a Mo foil *** NaF intermediate layer is introduced between Mo and Sb_(2)Se_(3),which can further optimize the growth of Sb_(2)Se_(3)thin ***,positive Na ion diffusion enables it to dramatically lower barrier height at the back contact interface and passivate harmful defects at both bulk and *** a result,the champion substrate structured Mo-foil/Mo/NaF/Sb_(2)Se_(3)/CdS/ITO/Ag flexible thin-film solar cell delivers an obviously higher efficiency of 8.03% and a record open-circuit voltage(V_(OC)) of 0.492 *** flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) device also exhibits excellent stability and flexibility to stand large bending radius and multiple bending times,as well as superior weak light photo-response with derived efficiency of 12.60%.This work presents an effective strategy to enhance the flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) device performance and expand its potential photovoltaic applications.

Tailoring the alloy composition,which induces the hard secondary phase to increase hardness and strength to improve the wear features,is a feasible approach for developing wear-resistant metal ***,a group of(AlCoCrFeNi)_(100–x)Sc_(x)(x=0–2.0,at%)high-entropy alloys(HEAs)are designed and the phase compositions and wear behaviors are ***-doped HEA series contain the primary body-centered cubic(BCC)and eutectic phases,in which the eutectic phase is composed of the alternately grown BCC and Laves *** addition promotes the diffusion of Ni atoms from BCC phase to form the Sc-rich Laves phase at the grain *** hardness increases due to solid solution strengthening and second phase *** the second phase strengthening plays a more significant role relative to solid solution *** phase and the oxides caused by wear heating prevent the direct contact between friction pair and HEAs,thus inducing a decreased wear rate from 6.82×10^(−5) to 3.47×10^(−5)m^(3)·N^(−1)·m^(−1).Moreover,the wear mechanism changes from adhesive wear,abrasive wear and oxidative wear to abrasive wear and oxidative wear.

Analysis of vascular thrombus and clinicopathological factors in prognosis of gastric cancer:A retrospective cohort study

A vortex-induced vibration(VIV)experiment of rough risers with coupling interference effect under a side-by-side arrangement was carried out in a wave-current combined *** roughness of the riser was characterized by arranging different specifications of surface attachments on the surface of the *** risers with three different roughnesses were arranged side by side with smooth risers to explore the VIV response of the riser under the combined action of roughness and interference effect,and to reveal the coupling mechanism between roughness and interference *** experimental results show that,compared with that of a smooth riser,the VIV of a rough riser under the coupling interference effect has a wider"lock-in"region,and the displacement decreases more significantly at a high reduced velocity,which is more likely to excite higher-order modes and frequency *** addition,the displacement response and frequency response of the smooth riser are not significantly affected by wake interference from the rough riser,which is caused by the decrease of the wake region due to the delay of the boundary layer separation point of the rough riser.

Initially defined high entropy alloys(HEAs)usually exhibit a single-phase solid-solution ***,two and/or more types of phases in HE As possibly induce the desired microstructure features,which contribute to improving the wear properties of HE ***,we prepare a series of(AlCoCrFeNi)_(100-x)Hf_(x)(x=0,2,4and 6;at%) HEAs and concern their phase compositions,micro structures and wear *** leads to the formation of(Ni,Co)_(2)Hf-type Laves phase and tailors the microstructure from a body-centered cubic(BCC) singlephase structure to a hypoeutectic *** increased hardness from~HV 512.3 to~HV 734.1 is due to solid-solution strengthening,grain refinement strengthening and precipitated phase *** a few oxides(Al_(2)O_(3)+Cr_(2)O_(3)) caused by the wear heating contribute to an 85.5% decrease in wear rate of the HEA system from6.71×10^(-5) to 0.97×10^(-5) m^(3)·N^(-1)·m^(-1).In addition,Hf addition changes the wear mechanism from abrasive wear,mild oxidative wear and adhesive wear to oxidative wear and adhesive wear.

Capacity estimation plays a crucial role in battery management systems,and is essential for ensuring the safety and reliability of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)*** paper proposes a method that uses a long short-term memory(LSTM)neural network to estimate the state of health(SOH)of Li-S *** method uses health features extracted from the charging curve and incre-mental capacity analysis(ICA)as input for the LSTM *** enhance the robustness and accuracy of the network,the Adam algorithm is employed to optimize specific *** data from three different groups of batteries with varying nominal capac-ities are used to validate the proposed *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of the method in accurately estimating the capacity degradation of all three ***,the study examines the impact of different lengths of network training sets on capacity *** results reveal that the ICA-LSTM model achieves a prediction accuracy of mean absolute error 4.6%and mean squared error 0.21%with three different training set lengths of 20%,40%,and 60%.The analysis demonstrates that the lightweight model maintains high SOH estimation accu-racy even with a small training set,and exhibits strong adaptive and generalization capabilities when applied to different Li-S ***,the proposed method,supported by experimental validation and analysis,demonstrates its efficacy in ensuring accurate and reliable SOH estimation,thereby enhancing the safety and per-formance of Li-S *** Terms—Adam algorithm,incremental capacity analysis,Li-S battery,long short-term memory,state of health.
