In recent years, machine learning (ML) techniques have been shown to be effective in accelerating the development process of optoelectronic devices. However, as"black box"models, they have limited theoretical interpretability. In this work, we leverage symbolic regression (SR) technique for discovering the explicit symbolic relationship between the structure of the optoelectronic Fabry-Perot (FP) laser and its optical field distribution, which greatly improves model transparency compared to ML. We demonstrated that the expressions explored through SR exhibit lower errors on the test set compared to ML models, which suggests that the expressions have better fitting and generalization capabilities.

Orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) can resist the Doppler effect and guarantee reliable communication in high-speed scenarios. However， the existence of the Doppler rate caused by the acceleration between the transceivers deteriorates the performance of the OTFS. So far， the impact of the Doppler rate on OTFS systems has not been addressed. In this paper， we first introduce the Doppler rate in the OTFS system and derive the delay-Doppler domain input-output relation. In addition， the impact of the Doppler rate on the effective delay-Doppler domain channel is characterized by utilizing the first mean value theorem for definite integrals to avoid complicated integrals. To mitigate the effect of the Doppler rate， a large-scale antenna array is arranged at the receiver to separate each path of the multi-path channel through a high-resolution spatial matched filter beamformer. Next， the Doppler rate estimation scheme for an arbitrary order Doppler rate is proposed based on the successive interference cancellation pattern and the maximization of the spectrum of the ratio of high-order moments between the received samples in the identified branch and the transmitted samples. Finally， the estimation accuracy of the Doppler rate and the error performance of the proposed transceiver are validated by the numerical results.

This editorial examines a recent study that used radiomics based on computed tomography(CT)to predict the expression of the fibroblast-related gene enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)and its correlation with the survival of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).By integrating radiomics with molecular analysis,the study presented a strategy for accurately predicting the expression of EZH2 from CT *** findings demonstrated a strong link between the radiomics model,EZH2 expression,and patient *** noninvasive approach provides valuable insights into the therapeutic management of HCC.

Chitin is an important content in the exoskeletons of arthropods, and its hydrolyzation is catalyzed by chitinases during the process of molting, thus, the chitinases are considered as ideal target to interfere the growth of arthropods. This study intends to clarify the characteristic of the chitinases during the development of Tetranychus cinnabarinus, and screen out important genes as potential control targets. The results showed that the total enzyme concentration of chitinases was significantly higher in larva, the first and second nymph than that in egg and adult. Base on the transcriptome data, six unigenes encoding chitinases were identified and their expression patterns in different developmental stages were detected. The expressions of TcCHIT1 and TcCHITIO showed high abundance during the molting process and their expression change during the developmental stages was consistent with the enzyme concentration. The full-length of these two genes were further cloned, and the structural characteristics of their proteins were analyzed by constructing the three-dimensional structure model. The results provide basic information to understand the characteristic of chitinases in T. cinnabarinus and might be considered as target for control.

A wrinkle-based thin-film device can be used to develop optoelectronic devices, photovoltaics, and strain sensors. Here, we propose a stable and ultrasensitive strain sensor based on two-dimensional （2D） semiconducting gallium selenide （GaSe） for the first time. The response of the electrical re- sistance to strain was demonstrated to be very sensitive for the GaSe-based strain sensor, and it reached a gauge factor of -4.3, which is better than that of graphene-based strain sensors. The results show us that strain engineering on a nanoscale can be used not only in strain sensors but also for a wide range of applications, such as flexible field-effect transistors, stretchable electrodes, and flexible solar cells.

Effects of N and Zr on the as-cast microstructure and properties after annealing of high-speed steel （HSS） were investigated by using electronic probe micro-analysis, Rockwell hardness test, X-ray diffractometry and differential scanning calorimetry with combination of microstructure analysis. The results indicate that the addition of N and Zr will refine the eutectic structures and enhance the stability of carbides which are mainly MC, M2C and M7C3. The coarse dendritic structures decrease significantly and most of the carbides are distributed in the microstructure uniformly. Moreover, a kind of Zr-Si compound which only exists in VC is discovered, and this new phase is speculated to be related with the spheroidization of VC. The annealing process is set up to 6 different time periods which are 1, 3, 6, 10, 15 and 20 h, respectively. In different annealing processes at 750 ℃ which is lower than austenitizing temperature, the addition of N and Zr makes the decrease of hardness more obvious and restrains the precipitation of secondary carbides with the extension of time. Moreover, when the annealing time reaches 20 h, some clusters appear in the matrix of the two samples, and the density of clusters in HSS1 is lower, but the matrix of HSS1 contains more C and alloying elements which indicate more carbides precipitate.

On the database-based strategy of candidate extractant generation for de-phenol process in coking wastewater treatment

A database-based strategy of candidate generation was proposed for molecular design of new de-phenol extractants following the idea of finding new applications of existing commercial compounds. The strategy has the advantage that the environmental, safety and health risks of candidate compounds are known and controllable. In this work, the Existing Commercial Compounds(ECC) database and special combined search strategy were developed as the base for the proposed CAMD method following such idea, and molecules for phenol extraction used in coking wastewater treatment were selected from the ECC database. The candidate solvents cover the following categories: ketones, esters, ethers, alcohols, anhydrides and benzene compounds, which are consistent with the de-phenol extractants commonly used in the industry or experiment. The compounds with higher partition coefficient and selectivity than widely used methyl isobutyl ketone(MIBK) are mainly ketones. 26 obtained molecules show higher partition coefficient and selectivity than MIBK, which are suggested to be further investigated by experiment. Furthermore, analysis of these potential molecules may present the effective functional groups as the initial group set to generate new molecular structures of de-phenol extractants. The results show that the proposed method enables us to efficiently generate chemicals with benefits of less time, less economical cost, and known environmental impact as well.

Microstructure and properties of SiC gradiently coated C_f/C composites prepared by a RCLD method

The SiC gradiently coated carbon fiber/carbon （Cf/C） composites were prepared by a two-step rapid chemical liquid deposition （RCLD） method. The microstructure and properties of the composites were investigated using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy together with energy dispersive X-ray analysis, bending tests, and oxidation tests. The experimental results show that the surface layer of the composites is composed of SiC, pyrocarbon, and carbon fibers. Their inner area consists of pyrocarbon and carbon fibers. The SiC content gradiently decreases with increasing distance from the outer surface to the center of the composites. Furthermore, the thickness of the SiC layer increases with increasing tetraethylorthosilicate content and deposition time. SiC coatings have no significant influence on the bending strength of the composites. However, the oxidation resistance of the composites increases with increasing thickness of the SiC layer.
