Crust–mantle interaction recorded by Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks within the southern margin of the North China Craton

This study presents new geochronological and geochemical data for Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks in the southern margin of the North China Craton(NCC),to discuss the crust–mantle *** studied rocks include pyroxene andesites from Daying Formation,hornblende andesites and andesites from Jiudian Formation,and rhyolites from a hitherto unnamed *** rocks formed in Early Cretaceous(138–120 Ma),with enrichment in light rare earth elements(REE),depletion in heavy REE and arc-like trace elements *** andesites show low SiO_(2) contents and enriched Sr–Nd–Pb–Hf isotopic compositions,with orthopyroxene phenocryst and Paleoproterozoic(2320–1829 Ma)inherited zircons,suggesting that they originated from lithospheric mantle after metasomatism with NCC lower crustal *** andesites have low SiO_(2) contents and high Mg#(Mg#=100 Mg/(Mg+Fe^(2+)))values,indicating a lithospheric-mantle *** the distinct wholerock Sr isotopic compositions we divide them into two *** them,the low(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)iandesites possess amount inherited Neoarchean to Neoproterozoic(2548–845 Ma)zircons,indicating the origin of lithospheric mantle with addition of Yangtze Craton(YC)and NCC *** comparison,the high(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)iandesites,with abundant Neoarchean–Paleozoic inherited zircons(3499–261 Ma),are formed by partial melting of lithospheric mantle with incorporation of NCC supracrustal rocks and YC *** have extremely high SiO_(2)(77.63–82.52 wt.%)and low total Fe_(2)O_(3),Cr,Ni contents and Mg#values,combined with ancient inherited zircon ages(2316 and 2251 Ma),suggesting an origin of NCC lower continental *** the presence of resorption texture of quartz phenocryst,we propose a petrogenetic model of’crystal mushes’for rhyolites prior to their *** constraints record the intense crust–mantle interaction in the southern margin of the *** the regional data and spatial d

A Residual Frequency Offset Estimation Method Based on range Migration Fitting

Recently, researchers have proposed an emitter localization method based on passive synthetic aperture. However, the unknown residual frequency offset(RFO) between the transmitter and the receiver causes the received Doppler signal to shift, which affects the localization accuracy. To solve this issue, this paper proposes a RFO estimation method based on range migration fitting. Due to the high frequency modulation slope of the linear frequency modulation(LFM)-modulation radar signal, it is not affected by RFO in range compression. Therefore, the azimuth time can be estimated by fitting the peak value position of the pulse compression in range ***, the matched filters are designed under different RFOs. When the zero-Doppler time obtained by the matched filters is consistent with the estimated azimuth time, the given RFO is the real RFO between the transceivers. The simulation results show that the estimation error of azimuth distance does not exceed 20 m when the received signal duration is not less than 3 s, the pulse repetition frequency(PRF) of the transmitter radar signal is not less than 1 k Hz, the range detection is not larger than 1 000 km, and the signal noise ratio(SNR) is not less than –5 d B.

Benefiting from the development of Federated learning(FL)and distributed communication systems,large-scale intelligent applications become *** devices not only provide adequate training data,but also cause privacy leakage and energy *** to optimize the energy consumption in distributed communication systems,while ensuring the privacy of users and model accuracy,has become an urgent *** this paper,we define the FL as a 3-layer architecture including users,agents and *** order to find a balance among model training accuracy,privacy-preserving effect,and energy consumption,we design the training process of FL as game *** use an extensive game tree to analyze the key elements that influence the players’decisions in the single game,and then find the incentive mechanism that meet the social norms through the repeated *** experimental results show that the Nash equilibrium we obtained satisfies the laws of reality,and the proposed incentive mechanism can also promote users to submit high-quality data in *** the multiple rounds of play,the incentive mechanism can help all players find the optimal strategies for energy,privacy,and accuracy of FL in distributed communication systems.

Uncertainty and sensitivity analysis of in-vessel phenomena under severe accident mitigation strategy based on ISAA-SAUP program

The phenomenology involved in severe accidents in nuclear reactors is highly ***,integrated analysis programs used for severe accident analysis heavily rely on custom empirical parameters,which introduce considerable ***,in recent years,the field of severe accidents has shifted its focus toward applying uncertainty analysis methods to quantify uncertainty in safety assessment programs,known as“best estimate plus uncertainty(BEPU).”This approach aids in enhancing our comprehension of these programs and their further development and *** study concentrates on a third-generation pressurized water reactor equipped with advanced active and passive mitigation *** an Integrated Severe Accident Analysis Program(ISAA),numerical modeling and uncertainty analysis were conducted on severe accidents resulting from large break loss of coolant *** uncertainty parameters of the ISAA program were meticulously *** Wilks'formula,the developed uncertainty program code,SAUP,was employed to carry out Latin hypercube sampling,while ISAA was employed to execute batch *** analysis was then conducted on two figures of merit,namely hydrogen generation and the release of fission products within the pressure *** calculations revealed that hydrogen production and the fraction of fission product released exhibited a normal distribution,ranging from 182.784 to 330.664 kg and from 15.6 to 84.3%,*** ratio of hydrogen production to reactor thermal power fell within the range of 0.0578–0.105.A sensitivity analysis was performed for uncertain input parameters,revealing significant correlations between the failure temperature of the cladding oxide layer,maximum melt flow rate,size of the particulate debris,and porosity of the debris with both hydrogen generation and the release of fission products.

Impact of Annealing on the Melt Recrystallization of a-PDLA/α-PLLA Double-layered Films

Poly(lactic acid)(PLA) as a bio-based polymer with biodegradability and biocompatibility has attracted much attention. To manipulate its properties for different applications, regulation of crystal structure and crystalline morphology becomes an attractive research topic. In this work, the structure evolution of layered samples containing an amorphous poly(D-lactide)(PDLA) layer and a crystalline poly(L-lactide)(PLLA)layer with highly oriented edge-on α lamellar crystals after annealing at 150 ℃ or/and after melt-recrystallization has been studied by AFM, FTIR,and TEM combined with electron diffraction. The results demonstrate that melt recrystallization of the as-prepared sample leads to the formation of abundant randomly oriented PLA stereo-complex(PLA SC) crystals. Annealing at 150 ℃ results in the formation of a small amount of oriented PLA SC crystals at the interface. These PLA SC crystals show great impact on the recrystallization behavior of sample after melting at 190 ℃ and then crystallizing at 90 ℃. First, they impede the mutual diffusion of the overlying PDLA and underlying PLLA, and thus reduce their stereocomplexation ability as manifested by the decreased amount of PLA SC crystals. Second, they act as substrate to initiate the epitaxial crystallization of the overlying PDLA and underlying PLLA, which ensures the production of a highly oriented structure of PDLA and PLLA after melt recrystallization again.

Impact of climate change on the global circulation of West Nile virus and adaptation responses: a scoping review

Background West Nile virus (WNV), the most widely distributed flavivirus causing encephalitis globally, is a vector-borne pathogen of global importance. The changing climate is poised to reshape the landscape of various infectious diseases, particularly vector-borne ones like WNV. Understanding the anticipated geographical and range shifts in disease transmission due to climate change, alongside effective adaptation strategies, is critical for mitigating future public health impacts. This scoping review aims to consolidate evidence on the impact of climate change on WNV and to identify a spectrum of applicable adaptation *** body We systematically analyzed research articles from PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and EBSCOhost. Our criteria included English-language research articles published between 2007 and 2023, focusing on the impacts of climate change on WNV and related adaptation strategies. We extracted data concerning study objectives, populations, geographical focus, and specific findings. Literature was categorized into two primary themes: 1) climate-WNV associations, and 2) climate change impacts on WNV transmission, providing a clear understanding. Out of 2168 articles reviewed, 120 met our criteria. Most evidence originated from North America (59.2%) and Europe (28.3%), with a primary focus on human cases (31.7%). Studies on climate-WNV correlations (n = 83) highlighted temperature (67.5%) as a pivotal climate factor. In the analysis of climate change impacts on WNV (n = 37), most evidence suggested that climate change may affect the transmission and distribution of WNV, with the extent of the impact depending on local and regional conditions. Although few studies directly addressed the implementation of adaptation strategies for climate-induced disease transmission, the proposed strategies (n = 49) fell into six categories: 1) surveillance and monitoring (38.8%), 2) predictive modeling (18.4%), 3) cross-disciplinary collaboration (16.3%), 4)

Rethinking multi-spatial information for transferable adversarial attacks on speaker recognition systems

Adversarial attacks have been posing significant security concerns to intelligent systems,such as speaker recognition systems(SRSs).Most attacks assume the neural networks in the systems are known beforehand,while black-box attacks are proposed without such information to meet practical *** black-box attacks improve trans-ferability by integrating multiple models or training on multiple datasets,but these methods are *** by the optimisation strategy with spatial information on the perturbed paths and samples,we propose a Dual Spatial Momentum Iterative Fast Gradient Sign Method(DS-MI-FGSM)to improve the transferability of black-box at-tacks against ***,DS-MI-FGSM only needs a single data and one model as the input;by extending to the data and model neighbouring spaces,it generates adver-sarial examples against the integrating *** reduce the risk of overfitting,DS-MI-FGSM also introduces gradient masking to improve *** authors conduct extensive experiments regarding the speaker recognition task,and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of their method,which can achieve up to 92%attack success rate on the victim model in black-box scenarios with only one known model.

Porous titanium alloy is currently widely used in clinical treatment of orthopaedic diseases for its lower elastic modulus and ability to integrate with bone *** the micro-level,cells can respond to different geometries,and at the macro-level,the geometric design of implants will also affect the biological function of *** this study,three kinds of porous scaffolds with square,triangular and circle rod shapes were designed and 3D *** study observed the proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells during surface culture of the three types of *** also evaluated the characteristics of the three scaffolds by means of compression tests and scanning electron microscopy to provide a reference for the design of porous titanium alloy implants for clinical *** trends of cell proliferation and gene expression between the three types of scaffolds were observed after treatment with two *** results show that the square rod porous scaffolds have the best proliferative and osteogenic activities,and these findings may be due to differences in piezo-type mechanosensitive ion channel component 1(Piezo1)and Yes-associated protein(YAP)expression caused by the macro-geometric topography.

Self-actuating protection mechanisms for safer lithium-ion batteries

Safety issue is still a problem nowadays for the large-scale application of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in electric vehicles and energy storage *** unsafe behaviors of LIBs arise from the thermal run-away,which is intrinsically triggered by the overcharging and *** improve the safety of LIBs,various protection strategies based on self-actuating reaction control mechanisms(SRCMs)have been proposed,including redox shuttle,polymerizable monomer additive,potential-sensitive separator,thermal shutdown separator,positive-temperature-coefficient electrode,thermally polymerizable addi-tive,and reversible thermal phase transition *** build-in protection mechanisms,these meth-ods can sensitively detect either the temperature change inside battery or the potential change of the electrode,and spontaneously shut down the electrode reaction at risky conditions,thus preventing the battery from going into thermal *** their advantages in enhancing the intrinsic safety of LIBs,this paper overviews the research progresses of SRCMs after a brief introduction of thermal runaway mechanism and limitations of conventional thermal runaway mitigating *** importantly,the current states and issues,key challenges,and future developing trends of SRCTs are also discussed and outlined from the viewpoint of practical application,aiming at providing insights and guidance for developing more effective SRCMs for LIBs.
