Religion is one of the social entities that has had a significant impact on the *** study’s goals are to investigate the relationship between well-being and fear of COVID-19,as well as to test whether religious beliefs mediate the effect of wellbeing on fear of *** sample comprised of 433 participants in *** Sample t-Test,One-way ANOVA,mediation analysis were used to analyze the *** the levels of well-being,individuals who engage in religious services daily have higher levels than those hardly and never attend,and people from the age of 18 to 30 have higher levels than individuals from 31 to above 60 *** addition,people aged from 51 to above 60 have higher levels of religious beliefs than people aged from 18 to *** experience more fear of COVID-19 compared to *** latter illustrates that religious beliefs mediate the effect of well-being on fear of *** workers and clinicians must prioritize older adults and people with chronic diseases for early mental interventions,and they should be aware of the role of religion in psychological treatment integration.

The Impact of thiamine Treatment on Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Objective: Patients with generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) are fearful. They constantly worried about minor matters, and they anticipate the worst. The GAD is diagnosed when a patient experiences excessive anxiety and worry for at least 6 months. The cause of GAD is unknown. In the present paper, we discuss patients with GAD who have low levels of thiamine in their bloods. We also discuss the role of thiamine in the pathogenesis and treatment of GAD. Methods: We examined 9 patients (6 males and 3 females) who met the DSM-IV-TR diagnostic criteria for GAD. These patients had no history of alcoholism. Their ages ranged from 57 to 83 years old (mean age –72.8 ± 2.9 years). All of the patients had low blood thiamine levels (mean –25.1 nmol/L ± 6.0 nmol/L;normal level—70 nmol/L - 180 nmol/L). Participants completed the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) for anxiety before and after thiamine treatments. All of the patients received daily thiamine 100 mg intramuscularly. Results: thiamine supplementation significantly improved HARS scores, increased both appetite and general well-being, and reduced fatigue in patients with GAD. Interestingly, these patients were able to discontinue taking anxiolytic and β-blocker medications. Conclusion: Parental thiamine significantly affects patients with GAD.

Ho Chi Minh City(HCMC)has a high density of rivers and canals,so it is often strongly affected by high *** rapid urbanization process of a city with more than 13 million people,along with human activities with rivers such as accretion,river encroachment,sand mining,construction of houses close to the riverbanks,...that stop the flow of rivers and canals,causes high tides to rise quickly and recede slowly,therefore difficult to *** residential areas of people along the canals in the city are clearly affected by the phenomenon of high tides and it causes many difficulties to people’s lives,especially people living in Nha Be district-a southeast district of HCMC,where the terrain is low-lying,and also the water collection area of the whole *** is an area that is expected to be flooded more and more heavily due to the increasingly strong impact of high *** inevitable consequence of the flooding-high tide phenomenon is that the living and business environment is not guaranteed,people’s life quality does not improve,and a part of the residents have to ***,how to build a housing model that adapts to flooding/high tide in Nha Be District,HCMC against the impacts of high tides?this article is a qualitative study using mixed methods including Document Synthesis&Comparison,Questionnaire,Interview,and Observation *** investigation,survey,and assessment on the impact of high tides on housing in Nha Be District,HCMC was carried out in the year *** study aims to find out the experiences in building models of houses that can adapt to flood/high tide and their applicability to some types of houses in Nha Be District,*** solutions are aimed at improving the quality of life of people living along the canals of Nha Be District,HCMC and effectively contribute to sustainable socio-economic development.

Data visualization blends art and science to convey stories from data via graphical *** different problems,applications,requirements,and design goals,it is challenging to combine these two components at their full *** the art component involves creating visually appealing and easily interpreted graphics for users,the science component requires accurate representations of a large amount of input *** a lack of the science component,visualization cannot serve its role of creating correct representations of the actual data,thus leading to wrong perception,interpretation,and *** might be even worse if incorrect visual representations were intentionally produced to deceive the *** address common pitfalls in graphical representations,this paper focuses on identifying and understanding the root causes of misinformation in graphical *** reviewed the misleading data visualization examples in the scientific publications collected from indexing databases and then projected them onto the fundamental units of visual communication such as color,shape,size,and spatial ***,a text mining technique was applied to extract practical insights from common visualization ***’s Q test and McNemar’s test were conducted to examine if there is any difference in the proportions of common errors among color,shape,size,and spatial *** findings showed that the pie chart is the most misused graphical representation,and size is the most critical *** was also observed that there were statistically significant differences in the proportion of errors among color,shape,size,and spatial orientation.

In Section 4I.02 of the newly published Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices(MUTCD),standards were specified for the placement of signal heads for traffic control signals at freeway entrance ramps,or ramp *** simultaneous operations,*** ramp control signals are operated such that green signal indications are always displayed simultaneously to all of the lanes on the ramp,a minimum of two signal faces per ramp shall face entering *** staggered operations,*** ramp control signal are operated such that green signal indications are not always displayed simultaneously to all of the lanes on the ramp,one signal face shall be provided over the approximate center of each separately-controlled *** on a nation-wide survey,it was realized that the two standards did not fully reflect the state-of-the-practice with respect to ramp metering *** to the lack of significant conflicting movements at ramp meters,for any on-ramp lane,a minimum of one overhead mounted,or one upper and one lower roadside-mounted signal face is sufficient to control the metering *** minimum necessary number of signal faces changes according to the total number of lanes,how the signal faces are mounted(overhead or roadside mounting),and how the meters are operated(simultaneous or staggered).Suggestions are made to revise the two standards to better reflect the current nation-wide practices,and better consider the specific operational needs for ramp meters.

大麦（Hordeum vulgare L.）是一种重要的谷类作物,许多国家都有种植,主要用来作为人类的食物、牲畜和酿造啤酒。大麦花序由三朵小花组成,包括一个中间小花和两个侧小花。根据侧小穗的育性大麦可分为三种常见的棱型花序。然而,大麦花序发育的分子机制还不清楚。为了更好地理解棱型决定机制,本研究采用了不同的方法对一个假定的大麦花序调节转录因子家族进行正向遗传学、反向遗传学和全基因组分析,来更好地了解大麦穗发育过程。具体包括:1)多棱、短节间、短穗等突变体表型,经过自交、杂交、回交多代收集。2)为了找到控制突变体表型的基因,我们开发了Hua30和Golden Promise品种之间的Indel（insert-delete）分子标记。3)此外,我们用CRISPR/Cas9系统敲除了玉米中调控腋生分生组织分化的RA-3在大麦中的同源基因。然而,在大麦转基因株系中没有观察到花序相关表型。4)为探究赤霉素（GA）对花序结构的影响,我们进行了系统发育分析和GRAS基因家族在不同组织的表达分析。通过进化树分析将62个GRAS基因分为12个亚组。值得注意的是,通过q RT-PCR实验检测到18个GRAS基因在穗发育过程中有表达。这些结果为大麦花序结构的进一步研究提供了线索。。

Objective To determine the occurrence of neurological changes during the first 48 hours after acute stroke as it relates to the initial stroke severity assessment. Methods The assessment with the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) was performed serially for the first 48 hours on 68 consecutive ischemic stroke patients admitted to the Department of Geriatric Cardiology at the Khanh Hoa Hospital, Nha Trang, Vietnam. Incidence of stroke progression (a ≥ 3-point increase on the NIHSS) was recorded and analysis performed to determine its association with initial stroke severity and other demographic and physiological variables. Deficit resolution by 48 hours, defined as an NIHSS score of 0 or 1, measured the frequency of functional recovery predicted by the initial deficit. Results Overall progression was noted in 28% of events (19/68). Applying Bayes' solution to the observed frequency of worsening, the greatest likelihood of predicting future patient progression occurred with NIHSS score of =7 and >7. Patients with an initial NIHSS score of =7 experienced a 13% (6/47) worsening rate versus those of an initial score of >7 with a 62% (13/21) worsening rate (P7 returned to a normal examination within this period (χ2, Pthis study suggests that the early clinical course of neurological deficit after acute stroke be dependent on the initial stroke severity and that a dichotomy in early outcome exist surrounding an initial NIHSS score of 7. These findings may have significant implications for the design and patient stratification in treatment protocols with respect to primary clinical outcome.(J Geriatr Cardiol 2007;4:225-228.)
