The supramolecular inclusion compound of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD, host) with (η5-cyclopentadienyl)tricarbonylmanganese [MnCp(CO)3, guest] was obtained in a crystalline state. The host-guest compound is thermally stable and do not liberate the guest on heating at 100$ in vacuum. It was characteried by elemental analysis,1H NMR, differential scanning thermal (DSC) analysis and TLC. Continueous variation plot by NMR method shows that β-CD formed 1:1 inclusion compound with MnCp(CO)3. On the basis of 1H NMR spectra and the model building with Corey Pauling Koltum (CPK) models, the most probable inclusion mode is proposed.

The structure of ZnL2Cl2 (L=4-methoxybenzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone) has beenobtained by x-ray diffraction. The compound crystallized in space group Cc with Z=4, in a unit cellof dimensions, a=9.08909(10), b=22. l420(10), c=11 .7890(l0)A,β=90.050(10)°, v=2374.6(12)A3,Dc=1 .552gcm-3. H=1 .463mm-1. R=0.0338. and Rw=0.0418. The structure contains individualZnL2Cl2 distorted tetrahedral units in which L molecules are S-bonded as monodentate to the metalions; chloride ions are also coordinated. The nonlinear optical properties of the zinc complex arealso presented in this letter.

Reaction of nickel (II) perchlorate with 4 amino 3,5 dimethyl 1,2,4 triazole (admt) and NH 4NCS gave a trinuclear complex Ni 3(admtrz) 6(NCS) 6·C 2H 5OH·2H 2O, C 32 H 58 N 30 Ni 3O 3S 6. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca (#61) with a=13.551(3), b=25.146(6), c=16.553(4) , V=5640(2) 3, Z=4, M r=1279.47, D c =1.507 g/cm 3 ; μ (Mo Kα )=12.70 cm -1 and F (000)=2656. The final refinement with 2543 observed reflections is converged with R =0.058 and R w =0.069. In the Ni 3(admt) 6(NCS) 6 molecule, the central nickel atom is coordinated in a distorted octahedral environment by four triazole bridges and two thiocyanate bridges. The terminal nickel atoms are in addition coordinated by two thiocyanate and one admtrz ligand, and thus also have a distorted octahedral geometry. Ni-N distances are 2.040(7)-2.222(7), Ni-Ni distances are 3.411(1).

One-to-one inclusion compound of (η5-cyclopentadien) tricarbonylmanganesc(MnCp(CO)3, guest ) with β-cyclodcxtrin (β-CD, host ) was obtained in a crystalline state. From the measurements of 1H-NMR spectra and the model building with Corey Pauling Koltum (CPK ) models, the most probable inclusion mode is proposed.

The composition and stability constants of 2:1 inclusion compounds of β-Cyclodextrin (β-CD ) with guest molecules were obtained approximately by NMR method,for the first time, through changes of chemical shifts for H-3 of β-CD cavity. The guest molecules in the present work are diphenyl and its derivatives (p-hydroxydiphenyl; 2,2'-dihydroxydiphenyl;4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl ).

A new pendant arms macrocyclic ligand, N, N'-bis(2-cyanoethyl)-3,4: 9, 10-dibenzo-1, 12-diaza-5, 8-dioxacyclopentadecane (L), was synthesized in goodyield (93% ) by alkylating 3, 4: 9, 10-dibenzo-1, 12-diaza-5, 8-dioxacyclopentadecane(L') with acrylonitrile. Its crystal structure has been determined by X-ray *** ligand crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbca, a=18. 143 (3),b=11. 206(2), c=22. 274(5)A, V=4528(2)A3, Mr=418. 55, Z= 8, F(000)=1792, Dc= 1. 228 gcm-3, T= 293K, μ= 7. 9 cm-1, final R=0.044 and Rw=0.067(w=1/(σ2 (F) + 0. 0005F2 ) ) based on 2291 independent reflections with F> 4. 0σ(F). The two benzene rings of the macrocyclic ligand are not in the same plane, andthe dihedral angle between them is 73. 6°, the molecule is in a folded state.

The anion coordination complex,[ClPt(bpt)4]Cl (bpt=N,N'-bis(3-pyridylmethyl)-2-thiourea),was synthesized and studied by X-ray crystal structure analysis,NMR and FAB mass spectra. In the solid state,the Pt(bpt)4 anion receptor adopts a cone conformation to bind the chloride anion through hydrogen bonds and electrostatic interaction in which the four branches of the thiourea ligands bind the chloride anion to form N-H…Cl-hydrogen bonds (3.49-3.81). The entraped chloride anion is situated above the Pt(Ⅱ) center at 3.52 . Further second-sphere coordination assemby from the Pt(bpt)4 core with 8 zinc(Ⅱ) tetraphenylporphyrins (ZnPr) is discussed.
