20-Hydroxyecdysone from Dacrycarpus imbricatus bark inhibits the proliferation of acute myeloid leukemia cells

Objective:To investigate the anti-proliferative effects of 20-hydroxyecdysone isolated from the bark of Dacrycarpus imbricatus(Blume) de ***:Column chromatography was used for isolation of compounds from plant *** structure of the isolated compound was identified by mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance techniques,including HSQC,HMBC,NOE-difference *** isolated compound was tested for its anti-proliferative activity in acute myeloid leukemia(AML) and OCI-AML ***:Compound 1 was isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction of Dacrycarpus imbricatus barks by column *** chemical structure was identified as 20-hydroxyecdysone(20HE),a cholestane-type ecdysteroid,by a combination of mass spectrometry and nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometric *** goal was to test the anti-proliferative activity of 20 HE using the OCI-AML cell line.20 HE significantly decreased OCI cell number at a concentration of 1 mg/mL,whereas lower concentrations were ***,this decrease was due to partial blockage of the G_1/S phase of the cell cycle,with a reduction of cells in the G_2M phase,not due to increased ***:This indicates that 20 HE significantly decreases the number of cells in the G_1/S phase of the cell cycle in human AML *** is the first time that the anti-proliferative activity of 20 HE against a human tumor cell line has been reported.

In essence,universities are part of the national education system and university culture is a“subculture”of the national *** the era of development and integration,the existence of the university network therefore certainly has a dialectical relationship with objective requirements both in terms of education and culture—the rule of laws and inevitable conditions for that existence and development,is the basic content of the university cultural *** includes general functions(social and cultural functions)related to the location,nature,characteristics of the university in social life and is relevant both to the present,the past,and the future;specific functions(educational organizational functions)related to teaching,learning,scientific research,management organization—direct activities for the existence and development of the university itself as an educational *** article is approached from the reality of Vietnam and based on the perspective of Culturology(combining Pedagogics and some other disciplines)in order to initially analyze and clarify the specific contents of these functional relations,especially about the interaction effect from those functions.

Cultural Relations With Vietnam-APEC： A Look at From the Past to the Future

Similar to the ancient Silk Route, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation （APEC） today is essentially an economic, political, and cultural interchange that includes continental culture and sea culture in interrelated relations for internal social needs related to the subjects of the country and the region that represent the whole of the East and the West. The nature of the relationship is based on the principle of consensus, voluntary with the highest goal of economic prosperity on the basis of political harmony and socio-cultural development in the effective cooperation of the direct actors. Vietnam with its geographic and cultural features in Southeast Asia has had a certain relationship with the Silk Road in the past and with APEC in the present and in the future. From that angle of view, positive ideas can be found about the factors that contribute to the sustainable development of nations, the whole region in particular, and the whole world in general.

LiNi_(0.5)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.3)O_(2)(NCM523) cathode materials can operate at extremely high voltages and have exceptional energy ***,their use is limited by inherent structure instability during charge/discharge and exceptionally oxidizing Ni^(4+)at the ***,we have developed a citrate-assisted deposition concept to achieve a uniform lithium-conductive LiNbO_(3) coating layer on the NCM523 surface that avoids self-nucleation of Nb-contained compounds in solution *** electrode-electrolyte interface is therefore stabilized by physically blocking the detrimental parasitic reactions and Ni^(4+)dissolution whilst still maintaining high Li+***,the modified NCM523 exhibits an encouraging Li-storage specific capacity of 207.4 m Ah g-1at 0.2 C and 128.9 m Ah g-1 at 10 C over the range 3.0-4.5 ***,a 92% capacity retention was obtained after 100 cycles at 1 C,much higher than that of the pristine NCM523(73%).This surface engineering strategy can be extended to modify other Ni-rich cathode materials with durable electrochemical performances.

Dynamic Power Transmission Using Common RF Feeder with Dual Supply

This paper proposes the design concept of a dynamic charging system for electric vehicles using multiple transmitter coils connected to a common radio frequency(RF)feeder driven by a pair of two power *** a common RF feeder for multiple transmitter coils reduces the power electronic redundancy compared to a conventional system,where each transmitter coil is individually driven by one switched-mode power ***,wireless charging of electric vehicles is recommended to operate in the frequency range of 85 kHz and *** this frequency range,the signal wavelength is shorter than about 3.5 ***,a charging pad longer than several hundred meters is subject to the standing wave *** such a case,the voltage significantly varies along the RF feeder,resulting in a variation in the received power level when the receiver ***,the received power significantly deteriorates when the receiver is nearby a node of the voltage standing *** this paper,we employ a pair of two power sources which are electrically separated by an odd-integer number of the quarter wavelength to drive the RF *** a result,the voltage standing wave generated by one power source is complemented by that of the other,leading to stable received power and transmission efficiency at all the receiver’s positions along with the charging *** results at the 85 kHz frequency band verify the output power stabilization effect of the proposed *** is worth noting that the proposed concept can also be applied to simultaneous wireless information and power transfer(SWIPT)for passive radio frequency identification(RFID)tags by raising the operation frequency to higher industrial,scientific and medical(ISM)bands,e.g.,13.56 MHz and employing similar modulation methods as in the current RFID technology.

Static and free vibration analyses of functionally graded porous variable-thickness plates using an edge-based smoothed finite element method

The main purpose of this paper is to present numerical results of static bending and free vibration of functionally graded porous(FGP) variable-thickness plates by using an edge-based smoothed finite element method(ES-FEM) associate with the mixed interpolation of tensorial components technique for the three-node triangular element(MITC3), so-called ES-MITC3. This ES-MITC3 element is performed to eliminate the shear locking problem and to enhance the accuracy of the existing MITC3 element. In the ES-MITC3 element, the stiffness matrices are obtained by using the strain smoothing technique over the smoothing domains formed by two adjacent MITC3 triangular elements sharing an edge. Materials of the plate are FGP with a power-law index(k) and maximum porosity distributions(U) in the forms of cosine functions. The influences of some geometric parameters, material properties on static bending, and natural frequency of the FGP variable-thickness plates are examined in detail.
