Enhanced high-temperature mechanical properties of laser-arc hybrid additive manufacturing of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy via microstructure control

Recently,rapid and cost-effective additive manufacturing solutions for lightweight aluminum alloys with excellent high-temperature mechanical properties have been increasingly in *** this study,we combined laser-arc hybrid additive manufacturing with solution and artificial aging treatments to achieve Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy with favorable high-temperature strength via microstructure *** pores became the major defect in the as-deposited and heat-treated *** continuous distribution of eutectics with hard-brittle characteristics at the grain boundaries was destructed following heat ***-densityηprecipitates were uniformly dispersed in the heat-treated Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy,whereas appeared coarsened and dissolved at 473 K,owing to the rapid diffusion of Zn and *** average 0.2%yield strength(318±16 MPa)and ultimate tensile strength(362±20 MPa)at 473 K af-ter heat treatment were enhanced by approximately 58%and 51%,respectively,compared to those of the as-deposited *** addition,theηprecipitates contributed to lattice distortions and strain fields,which prevented dislocation motion and increased slip deformation resistance at high *** as-deposited specimen exhibited intergranular fracture at 473 K,with cracks preferring to propagate along the aggregated ***,crack propagation proceeded in the sections with more pores in the heat-treated *** approach may provide a valid option for achieving alu-minum alloys with excellent high-temperature mechanical properties.

Fluorinated carbons CF_xhold the highest theoretical energy density(e.g.,2180 W h kg^(-1)when x=1)among all cathode materials of lithium primary ***,the low conductivity and severe polarization limit it to achieve its *** this study,we design a new electrolyte,namely 1 M LiBF_(4)DMSO:DOL(1:9 vol.),achieving a high energy density in Li/CF_xprimary *** DMSO with a small molecular size and high donor number successfully solvates Li^(+)into a defined Li^(+)-solvation *** solvated Li^(+)can intercalate into the large-spacing carbon layers and achieve an improved ***,when discharged to 1.0 V,the CF_(1.12)cathode demonstrates a specific capacity of 1944 m A h g^(-1)with a specific energy density of 3793 W h kg^(-1).This strategy demonstrates that designing the electrolyte is powerful in improving the electrochemical performance of CF_(x) cathode.

In this paper,■-dressing method based on a local 3×3 matrix ■-problem with non-normalization boundary conditions is used to investigate coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus ***,we propose a new compatible system with singular dispersion relation,that is time spectral problem and spatial spectral problem of coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus equations via constraint ***,we derive a hierarchy of nonlinear evolution equations by introducing a recursive *** last,by solving constraint matrixes,a spectral transform matrix is given which is sufficiently important for finding soliton solutions of potential function,and we obtain N-soliton solutions of coupled two-component Kundu-Eckhaus equations.

In the current situation where the practical application of silicon anode materials encounters great challenges,silicon oxide(SiO_(x),0≤x≤2)has attracted the attention of researchers due to its relatively small volume expansion,stable cycling performance,and low cost,which is possible to realize commercial applications earlier than silicon ***,it remains a challenge to prepare SiO_(x)materials with long-term stable cycling performance and high Coulombic efficiency using low-cost *** this work,SiO_(x)anode material with high Coulombic efficiency and good long-term cycling stability was prepared at a low cost by hydrolysis of siloxane and in situ polymerization of phenolic *** hydrolysis of siloxane was further regulated by different silane coupling agents to regulate the size and microstructure of prepared SiO_(x)materials,which displayed the substantially improved electrochemical *** excellent electrochemical performance of SiO_(x)prepared by regulated hydrolysis of siloxane with silane coupling agents is attributed to the effect of silane coupling agent on size and microstructure of SiO_(x),revealing that the strategy of modulating the hydrolysis of siloxane by silane coupling agent is a potential method to prepare high-performance SiO_(x)materials.

Inspired by the dynamic wet adhesive systems in nature,various artificial adhesive surfaces have been developed but still face different ***,the theoretical mechanics of wet adhesives has never been sufficiently ***,we develop a novel adhesive mechanism for governing wet adhesion and investigate the biological models of honeybee arolium for reproducing the natural wet adhesive ***-nano structures of honeybee arolium and arolium-prints were observed by Cryogenic scanning electron microscopy(Cryo-SEM),and the air pockets were found in the contact interface ***,the adhesive models with a three-phase composite interface(including air pockets,liquid secretion,and hexagonal frames of arolium),were formed to analyze the wet adhesion of honeybee *** results of theoretical calculations and experiments indicated an enhanced adhesive mechanism of the honeybee by liquid self-sucking effects and air-embolism *** these effects,normal and shear adhesion can be adjusted by controlling the proportion of liquid secretion and air pockets in the contact ***,the air-embolism effects contribute to the optimal coupling of smaller normal adhesion with greater shear adhesion,which is beneficial for the high stride frequency of *** works can provide a fresh perspective on the development of bio-inspired wet adhesive surfaces.

Manipulating nonlinear excitations,including solitons and vortices,is an essential topic in quantum many-body physics.A new progress in this direction is a protocol proposed in[***.2043256(2020)]to produce dark solitons in a one-dimensional atomic Bose–Einstein condensate(BEC)by quenching inter-atomic *** by this work,we generalize the protocol to a two-dimensional BEC and investigate the generic scenario of its post-quench *** an isotropic disk trap with a hard-wall boundary,we find that successive inward-moving ring dark solitons(RDSs)can be induced from the edge,and the number of RDSs can be controlled by tuning the ratio of the after-and before-quench interaction strength across different critical *** role of the quench played on the profiles of the density,phase,and sound velocity is also *** to the snake instability,the RDSs then become vortex–antivortex pairs with peculiar dynamics managed by the initial density and the after-quench *** tuning the geometry of the box traps,demonstrated as polygonal ones,more subtle dynamics of solitons and vortices are *** proposed protocol and the discovered rich dynamical effects on nonlinear excitations can be realized in near future cold-atom experiments.

Background:Forest soils in tropical and subtropical areas store a significant amount of *** framework to assess soil organic matter(SOM)dynamics under evolving global conditions suggest that dividing bulk SOM into particulate and mineral-associated organic matter(POM ***)is a promising method for identifying how SOM contributes to reducing global *** macrofauna,earthworms,and millipedes have been found to play an important role in facilitating SOM ***,how these two co-existing macrofaunae impac the litter decomposition process and directly impact the formation of POM and MAOM remains ***:Here,we set up a microcosm experiment,which consisted of 20 microcosms with four treatments earthworm and litter addition(E),millipedes and litter addition(M),earthworm,millipedes,and litter addition(E+M),and control(only litter addition)in five *** soil and litter were sterilized prior to beginning the incubation experiment to remove any existing *** incubating the samples for 42 days,the litte properties(mass,C,and N contents),soil physicochemical properties,as well as the C and N contents,and POM and MAOM^(13)C abundance in the 0–5 and 5–10 cm soil layers were ***,the relative influences o soil physicochemical and microbial properties on the distribution of C and N in the soil fractions were analyzed Results:The litter mass,C,and N associated with all four treatments significantly decreased after incubation especially under treatment E+M(litter mass:-58.8%,litter C:-57.0%,litter N:-75.1%,respectively),while earthworm biomass significantly decreased under treatment *** or millipede addition alone showed no significant effects on the organic carbon(OC)and total nitrogen(TN)content in the POM fraction,but join addition of both significantly increased OC and TN regardless of soil ***,all three macrofauna treatments increased the OC and TN content and decreased the^(13)C abundance
