SDH-FCOS:An Efficient Neural Network for Defect Detection in Urban Underground Pipelines

Urban underground pipelines are an important infrastructure in cities,and timely investigation of problems in underground pipelines can help ensure the normal operation of *** to the growing demand for defect detection in urban underground pipelines,this study developed an improved defect detection method for urban underground pipelines based on fully convolutional one-stage object detector(FCOS),called spatial pyramid pooling-fast(SPPF)feature fusion and dual detection heads based on FCOS(SDH-FCOS)*** study improved the feature fusion component of the model network based on FCOS,introduced an SPPF network structure behind the last output feature layer of the backbone network,fused the local and global features,added a top-down path to accelerate the circulation of shallowinformation,and enriched the semantic information acquired by shallow *** ability of the model to detect objects with multiple morphologies was strengthened by introducing dual detection *** experimental results using an open dataset of underground pipes show that the proposed SDH-FCOS model can recognize underground pipe defects more accurately;the average accuracy was improved by 2.7% compared with the original FCOS model,reducing the leakage rate to a large extent and achieving real-time ***,our model achieved a good trade-off between accuracy and speed compared with other mainstream *** proved the effectiveness of the proposed model.

Given Nepal's vulnerability to extreme precipitation(EP),it is imperative to conduct a comprehensive analysis to comprehend the historical trends of such ***,acquiring precise precipitation data for EP remains challenging in mountainous countries like Nepal owing to the scarcity of densely gauged *** limitation impedes the dissemination of knowledge pertaining to EP variability events in *** current research on this topic is deficient for two main reasons:1)there is a lack of studies leveraging recently released high-resolution precipitation products to identify their EP detection capabilities,which further hinders the usability of those products in data-scarce regions like Nepal,and 2)most studies have focused on the characterisation of EP events in Nepal rather than their spatial and temporal *** address these issues,this study evaluated the EP detection capabilities of four high-resolution precipitation product datasets(PPDs)across Nepal from 1985 to *** datasets include the ERA5 Land reanalysis data,satellite-based precipitation data(PERSIANN_CCS_CDR and CHIRPS_V2.0)and a merged dataset(TPHiPr).We used various statistical and categorical indices to assess their ability to capture the spatial and temporal variability of EP *** annual EP events were characterised by 11 indices divided into frequency and intensity *** TPHiPr merged dataset offered a robust depiction of monthly precipitation estimates,achieving the highest critical success index,accuracy,probability of detection and a low false alarm ratio for daily precipitation detection of 0.1 mm in ***,the PERSIANN_CCS_CDR dataset exhibited poor *** PPDs showed increasing trends in EP ***,the TPHiPr dataset showcased those trends with fewer errors and stronger correlations for many frequency(R10mm,R20mm and R25mm)and intensity(RX1day,RX5day,PRCPTOT and R99p)*** results indicate that TPHiPr outperformed ot

Analysing the influence mechanism of the riblet protrusion height on turbulent drag components is more beneficial in organising the vortical structure over the riblet surface. Therefore, the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) is used to investigate the vortex structure over the riblet surface with different protrusion heights. Then, the variations of Reynolds stress and viscous shear stress in a turbulent channel are analysed. As a result, the drag reduction rate increases from 3.4% when the riblets are completely submerged in the turbulent boundary layer to 7.9% when the protrusion height is 11.2. Further analysis shows that the protrusion height affects the streamwise vortices and the normal diffusivity of spanwise and normal vortices, thus driving the variation of Reynolds stress. Compared with the smooth surface, the vorticity strength and the number of streamwise vortices are weakened near the wall but increase in the logarithmic layer with increased protrusion height. Meanwhile, the normal diffusivity of spanwise vorticity decreases with the increase of protrusion height, and the normal diffusivity of normal vorticity is the smallest when the protrusion height is 11.2. Moreover, the protrusion height affects the velocity gradient of the riblet tip and riblet valley, thus driving the variation of viscous shear stress. With the increase of protrusion height, the velocity gradient of the riblet tip increases dramatically but decreases in the riblet valley. The imbalance of rural parking supply and demand has a great impact on traffic congestion and environmental pollution,which has attracted the attention of many scholars as well as ***,most of the current research on parking choice focuses on urban business and residential areas rather than on rural parking choice behaviour,and focuses on the analysis of observable factors,ignoring the internal relationship with potential *** study considers the heterogeneity of individuals and uses the random forest(RF)algorithm to construct a model of rural residents’willingness to choose parking with both latent and explicit variables,to explore how much and in what ways individual characteristics and parking characteristics affect rural residents’parking choices,and to explore parking planning programmes and strategies that are truly applicable to rural *** results of the study suggest that the safety and convenience of the parking environment are key factors influencing the parking choice behaviour of rural residents,and can greatly improve the predictive accuracy of the parking willingness *** comparison,it is found that the application of the RF algorithm is also significantly better than the logit model in terms of prediction effect,indicating that there is a nonlinear effect among the factors influencing the parking choice behaviour of rural residents and that the RF model with the addition of latent variables provides a better explanatory ability for the study of the parking choice behaviour of rural residents.

AIM:To assess the causal link between 211 gut microbiota(GM)taxa and dry age-related macular degeneration(dAMD)***:Mendelian randomization using instrumental factors taken from a genome-wide association study(GWAS)were *** variance weighted(IVW)analysis and sensitivity analysis were performed on the FinnGen project,which included 5095 cases and 222590 ***:The IVW analysis showed substantial genusand family-level relationships between GM taxa and dAMD ***,the family Peptococcaceae(P=0.03),genus Bilophila(P=3.91×10^(-3)),genus Faecalibacterium(P=6.55×10^(-3)),and genus Roseburia(P=0.04)were linked to a higher risk of developing dAMD,while the genus Candidatus Soleaferrea(P=7.75×10^(-4)),genus Desulfovibrio(P=0.04)and genus Eubacterium ventriosum group(P=0.04)exhibited a protective effect against *** significant causal relationships were observed at higher taxonomic ***,in the reverse IVW analysis,no meaningful causal effects of the 7 GM ***:These findings give support for the gutretina axis participation in dAMD and shed light on putative underlying *** on the connection between GM and dAMD have not yet revealed the underlying mechanism.
