Adrenocortical carcinoma(ACC)is a rare malignancy with generally poor outcomes and limited treatment *** surgical resection can be curative for early local disease,most patients present with advanced ACC owing to nonspecific *** those patients,treatment options include systemic chemotherapy and locoregional therapies including radiofrequency ablation and transarterial *** present the first reported case of utilizing yttrium-90 microsphere selective internal radiation therapy(sIRT)in combination with first line EDP-M(Etoposide,Doxorubicin,Cisplatin,Mitotane)chemotherapy and debulking surgical primary tumor resection for treatment of metastatic *** complete radiologic response has been maintained after twelve months with resolution of clinical *** findings prompt the need for further consideration and studies to elucidate the role of sIRT in combination with systemic and surgical treatment for metastatic ACC.

Introduction:Primary succession on glacial forelands is increasingly relevant as rapid glacial retreat is exposing growing land areas to plant *** investigated temporal trends,controls,and outcomes in floral succession on a subarctic glacial ***,we examined changes in community composition(mosses,low shrubs,forbs,trees,and graminoids)over long-term(decadal)and short-term(s)scales and attempted to identify the underlying processes responsible for the observed successional ***:The study area was the foreland of the skaftafellsjӧkull,located in Vatnajӧkull National Park near the south coast of *** established nine transect lines at varying distances from the ice front representing surfaces of age ranging from less than one decade to over 100 *** transect consisted of five measurement stations of 1 m2 where we measured vegetative cover(VC),species richness(sR),and species density(sD)and calculated species evenness(sE).Measurements were made initially in 2007 and repeated at the same geographic coordinates in ***:VC increased with distance from the ice front from 16%to over 90%.sR and sD increased from the youngest pioneer community through a mid-successional stage corresponding to an age of over 60 but less than 100 *** VC but declining sR,sD,and sE characterized the oldest(over 100 years)bryophyte-dominated *** turnover,which involved forbs almost exclusively,increased moderately from early through midsuccessional sites and declined on older *** of the measurements made in 2014 to those made in 2007 demonstrates increased sR at mid-successional sites while sD remained relatively ***:At a small scale,colonization is controlled by local factors such as microtopography and aspect,particularly in proximity to the *** the landscape level,changes in VC and community structure are controlled by time and nutrient *** nutrient level

Insect ecdysone steroid hormone regulates major developmental transitions, such as molting and metamorphosis. The production of ecdysone correlates well with the timing of these transitions. Finding out how the ecdysone biosynthesis is regulated is crucial to fully understand these sophisticated developmental switches. Here we summarized recent findings in the regulation of ecdysone biosynthesis from the aspects of cell signaling, key biosynthetic enzymes and substrate cholesterol trafficking.

stochastic gradient Markov chain Monte Carlo(sG-MCMC) has been developed as a flexible family of scalable Bayesian sampling algorithms. However, there has been little theoretical analysis of the impact of minibatch size to the algorithm’s convergence rate. In this paper, we prove that at the beginning of an sG-MCMC algorithm, i.e., under limited computational budget/time, a larger minibatch size leads to a faster decrease of the mean squared error bound. The reason for this is due to the prominent noise in small minibatches when calculating stochastic gradients, motivating the necessity of variance reduction in sG-MCMC for practical use. By borrowing ideas from stochastic optimization, we propose a simple and practical variance-reduction technique for sG-MCMC, that is efficient in both computation and *** importantly, we develop the theory to prove that our algorithm induces a faster convergence rate than standard sG-MCMC. A number of large-scale experiments, ranging from Bayesian learning of logistic regression to deep neural networks, validate the theory and demonstrate the superiority of the proposed variance-reduction sG-MCMC framework.

Fixture design and planning is one of the most important manufacturing activities, playing a pivotal role in deciding the lead time for product development. Fixture design, which affects the part-quality in terms of geometric accuracy and surface finish, can be enhanced by using the product manufacturing information(PMI) stored in the neutral standard for the exchange of product model data(sTEP) file, thereby integrating design and manufacturing. The present paper proposes a unique fixture design approach, to extract the geometry information from sTEP application protocol(AP) 242 files of computer aided design(CAD) models, for providing automatic suggestions of locator positions and clamping surfaces. Automatic feature extraction software "FiXplan", developed using the programming language C#, is used to extract the part feature, dimension and geometry information. The information from the sTEP AP 242 file is deduced using geometric reasoning techniques, which in turn is utilized for fixture planning. The developed software is observed to be adept in identifying the primary, secondary, and tertiary locating faces and locator position configurations of prismatic components. structural analysis of the prismatic part under different locator positions was performed using commercial finite element method software, ABAQUs, and the optimized locator position was identified on the basis of minimum deformation of the *** area-ratio(base locator enclosed area(%)/work piece base area(%)) for the ideal locator configuration was observed as 33%. Experiments were conducted on a prismatic workpiece using a specially designed fixture, for different locator configurations. The surface roughness and waviness of the machined surfaces were analysed using an Alicona non-contact optical profilometer. The best surface characteristics were obtained for the surface machined under the ideal locator positions having an area-ratio of 33%, thus validating the predicted numerical resul

Donald Trump has sought to change Us trading relationships by raising protection at home and taxing the offshore activities of Us companies abroad. These measures, which both use and violate trade rules, have provoked retaliation from other countries. such friction has restricted and distorted trade and investment, undermined the rules-based trading system and perhaps permanently damaged global value chains that depend on stable rules for market access. Trump has justified some of his measures as a response to China＇s alleged unfair practices and indeed, China has adopted industrial and technology policies that are formally neutral between domestic and foreign firms but in practice have led foreign firms to complain about discriminatory practices that favor Chinese firms. The Us friction with China is unfortunate because instead of trying to bully China into submission in a tariff war, the Us could have dealt with many of its concerns more effectively by cooperating with other countries and taking actions that are consistent with maintaining the rules-based system. While the Us has undermined its leadership role, the overall damage to the trading system could still be limited if other countries, especially China, take actions that sustain and strengthen it.
