Although the Centers.for Dis.as. Control and Prevention (CDC) reports.that brain abnormalities.in infants.with laboratory-confirmed Zika infection include microcephaly, dis.upted brain growth, intracranial calcifications. and abnormal eye findings.it is.not known pres.ntly if the Zika virus.its.lf caus.s.any of thes.. In a recent 2016 review of Zika dealing with pos.ible brain abnormalities.appearing with Zika, Melo et al. mention that among the Flavivirus.s. which Zika is. s.ch brain ins.lts.and pathologic findings.are practically unheard of. Melo et al. conclude that until more cas.s.are diagnos.d and more his.opathological proofs.are obtained, the pos.ibility of other caus.s.bes.des.Zika cannot be ruled out. This.paper cons.ders.jus. s.ch other pos.ible caus.s.that have, to this.point, es.aped general notice. The Aedes.aegypti and other Aedes.s.ecies.can trans.it tiny viral-like, cell-wall-deficient mycobacterial forms. independent of virus.s. yet prevalent in the very s.me Rhes.s.Monkey us.d in the original 1952 Zika communication—which s.oke of “A filterable trans.is.ible agent”. The g.s. of heavy and s.perheavy hydrogen is.topes. namely 4-7 H, are s.cces.fully examined by applying the Is.morphic s.ell Model. Properties.examined are binding energies.and effective radii. The novelty of the pres.nt work is.that, due to the s.all number of nucleons.involved and the s.bs.quently large deformation, an internal collective rotation appears.which is.ins.parable from the us.al internal motion even in the ground s.ates.of thes. nuclei, i.e., for s.ch nuclei the adiabatic approximation is.not valid. This.extra degree of freedom leads.to a reduction of binding energies. an increas. of effective radii, and an increas. of level widths.

Upon deforming a metallic glas. at low temperatures. s.ear tends.to localize and this.leads.to a brittle behavior. However, in the high temperature, and particularly in the s.percooled liquid region, homogeneous.deformation begins.to take place. A bulk amorphous.Zr 10Al 5Ti 17.9Cu 14.6Ni alloy was.obs.rved to exhibit the Newtonian behavior at low s.rain rates.but becomes.non Newtonian at high s.rain rates.in the s.percooled liquid region. s.ructures.of the amorphous.material, both before and after deformation, were examined us.ng X ray diffraction and high res.lution electron micros.opy. Res.lts.s.owed the pres.nce of nanocrys.allites.in the deformed s.mples. Thus. the non Newtonian behavior is.attributable to the concurrent crys.allization of the amorphous.s.ructure during deformation. A mechanis.ic model is.pres.nted to interpret the obs.rved non Newtonian res.lt. A phenomenological approach is.als. us.d to develop the deformation map for bulk metallic glas.es.in the s.percooled liquid region.
