Kupffe. ce.ls, the.re.ide.t macrophage. in live., are.particularly critical to the.onse. of e.hanol-induce. live. injury. Chronic e.hanol e.posure.se.sitize. Kupffe. ce.ls to activation by lipopolysaccharide.via Toll-like.re.e.tor 4. This se.sitization e.hance. production of inflammatory me.iators, such as tumor ne.rosis factor-α and re.ctive.oxyge. spe.ie., that contribute.to he.atocyte.dysfunction, ne.rosis, apoptosis, and fibrosis. Impaire. re.olution of the.inflammatory proce.s probably also contribute. to ALD. The.re.olution of inflammation is an active. highly coordinate. re.ponse.that can pote.tially be.manipulate. via the.ape.tic inte.ve.tions to tre.t chronic inflammatory dise.se.. Candidate.pulsations of inte.e.t are.first ide.tifie. in ge.magne.ic time.se.ie. by inspe.tion. Time.se.ie. of the.e.＂training e.e.ts＂ are.re.re.e.te. in matrix form and transpose.multiplie. to ge.e.ate.time. domain covariance.matrice.. The.ranke. e.ge.ve.tors of this matrix are.store. as a fe.ture.of the.pulsation. In the.se.ond stage.of the.algorithm, a sliding window （approxi- mate.y the.width of the.training e.e.t） is move. across the.ve.tor-value. time.se.ie. comprising the.channe.s on which the.training e.e.t was obse.ve.. At e.ch window position, the.data covariance.matrix and associate. e.ge.- ve.tors are.calculate.. Inte.mitte.t androge. de.rivation the.apy （IADT） is an alte.native.to continuous androge. de.rivation the.apy （ADT） in prostate.cance. patie.ts with nonme.astatic dise.se. ADT is associate. with nume.ous side.e.fe.ts such as hot flashe., se.ual dysfunction, ane.ia, fatigue. loss of muscle.mass, oste.porosis, me.abolic syndrome.and pre.ature.cardiovascular dise.se. IADT was de.e.ope. with the.inte.tion of improving the.quality of life.and to de.ay progre.sion of prostate.cance. to castration re.istance. The.be.e.its of slightly improve. quality of life.by IADT compare. to ADT we.e.de.onstrate. in multiple.clinical trials. IADT was note. to be.noninfe.ior to ADT in patie.ts with bioche.ical re.urre.ce.of prostate.cance. but in studie. pe.forme. in patie.ts with me.astatic prostate.cance., the.re.ults we.e.inconclusive. He.e.otopic ossification （HO） re.e.s to the.abnormal formation of bone.in soft tissue. Although some.of the.unde.lying proce.se. of HO have.be.n de.cribe., the.e.are.curre.tly no clinical te.ts using validate. biomarke.s for pre.icting HO formation. As such, the.diagnosis is made.radiographically afte. HO has forme.. To ide.tify pote.tial and nove. biomarke.s for HO, we.use. isobaric tags for re.ative.and absolute.quantitation （iTRAQ） and high-throughput antibody arrays to produce.a se.i-quantitative.prote.mics surve. of se.um and tissue.from subje.ts with （HO ＋） and without （HO-） he.e.otopic ossification. The.re.ulting data we.e.the. analyze. using a syste.s biology approach. We.found that se.um sample. from subje.ts e.pe.ie.cing traumatic injurie. with re.ulting HO have.a diffe.e.t prote.mic e.pre.sion controls. Subse.ue.t quantitative.e.ISA ide.tifie. profile.compare. to those.from the.matche. five.blood se.um prote.ns that we.e.diffe.e.tially re.ulate. be.we.n the.HO-- and HO- groups. Burie. bumpe. syndrome.BBS) is an uncommon but se.ious complication of pe.cutane.us e.doscopic gastrostomy. It involve. the.inte.nal fixation de.ice. or "bumpe.", migrating into the.gastric wall and subse.ue.t mucosal ove.growth. We.de.cribe. a case.se.ie. of four patie.ts with BBS tre.te. with a nove. e.doscopic te.hnique.using a Hook Knife.be.we.n June.2016 and Fe.ruary 2017. The.Hook Knife.is a rotating L-shape. cutting wire.de.igne. for hooking tissue.and pulling it away from the.gastric wall towards the.lume.. The.te.hnique.was succe.sful in all four case. with no complications. e.ch patie.t was discharge. on the.day of tre.tme.t. The.Hook Knife.is a manoe.vrable. safe.and e.fe.tive.de.ice.for e.doscopic re.oval of burie. bumpe.s and could avoid surge.y in a high risk group of patie.ts. To our knowle.ge.this te.hnique.has not be.n de.cribe. pre.iously. We.sugge.t that this te.hnique.should be.adde. to the.tre.tme.t algorithms for managing BBS.

We.validate. a radioimmunoassay-base. me.hod quantifying fe.al glucocorticoid me.abolite. （FGMs） from captive.male.and fe.ale.Richardson＇s ground squirre.s Urocite.lus richardsonii. Blood sample. we.e.drawn to e.plore.the.corre.ation be.we.n plasma cortisol and FGM conce.trations. We.also inje.te. groups of squirre.s with normal saline.（CTL; control）, adre. nocorticotropic hormone.（ACTH; stimulating adre.al activity）, or de.ame.hasone.（De.; suppre.sing adre.al activity）. Pote.tial corre.ations be.we.n stre.s and be.aviour we.e.e.plore. through quantification of fe.al pe.le. production and the.inte.ve.tion ne.e.sary to e.icit de.e.ation, as we.l as the.be.aviour of subje.ts in the.conte.t of handling. Change. in plasma cortisol conce.- tration be.we.n capture.（base.ine., and following handling （stre.s-induce.） we.e.also quantifie. for fre.-living squirre.s.
