Green Process for Impregnation of Silver Nanoparticles into Microcrystalline Cellulose and Their Antimicrobial Bionanocomposite Films

A novel greener method to impregnate silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) into microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) by curry leaf (Murraya koenigii) extract mediated biological process is presented. The active reduction of silver ions by curry leaf extract was explored for the in situ impregnation AgNPs into MCC. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyses of MCC coated with AgNPs showed the formation of silver particle sizes in the range of 10-25 nm and have a spherical shape. Further the, EDS analysis of MCC/Ag nanocomposite confirms the formation of Ag structure on microcrystalline cellulose. Solvent casting of poly(lactic-acid) was used to produce composite films containing silver impregnated MCC aiming for antimicrobial applications.

One of the main goals of vaccine research is the development of adjuvants that can enhance immune responses and are both safe and *** explored the application of the natural polymer hyaluronan(HA)as a promising immunological adjuvant for protein-based *** conjugation of HA to antigens strongly increased their immunogenicity,reduced booster requirements,and allowed antigen dose ***-based bioconjugates stimulated robust and long-lasting humoral responses without the addition of other immunostimulatory compounds and proved highly efficient when compared to other *** to its intrinsic biocompatibility,HA allowed the exploitation of different injection routes and did not induce inflammation at the inoculation *** polymer promoted rapid translocation of the antigen to draining lymph nodes,thus facilitating encounters with antigen-presenting ***,HA can be regarded as an effective and biocompatible adjuvant to be exploited for the design of a wide variety of vaccines.

Dear Editor, Xylan polysaccharides constitute the major non-cellulosic components in secondary cell walls of dicots and in both primary and secondary cell walls of grasses （Scheller and Ulvskov, 2010）. Xylan is composed of a linear backbone of 13（1-4）-linked xylose （Xyl）. In grasses, the xylan backbone is substituted with 03-1inked and 02-1inked arabinose residues and, to a lesser extent, a（1-3）-Iinked glucuronic acid residues.
