Based on an analysis of 280 Type SNIa supernovae and gamma-ray bursts redshifts in the range of z = 0.0104 - 8.1 the Hubble diagram is shown to follow a strictly exponential slope predicting an exponentially expanding or static universe. At redshifts > 2 - 3 ΛCDM models show a poor agreement with the observed data. Based on the results presented in this paper, the Hubble diagram test does not necessarily support the idea of expansion according to the big-bang concordance model.

Current progress in cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropy measurements opens up the possibility of determining Hubble’s constant (H0 = h × 100 km s−1 Mpc−1) from the CMB power spectrum radiation temperature anisotropy. The results show that, besides the Lambda cold dark matter (ΛCDM) model, much simpler Einstein-de Sitter (EdeS) models without the cosmological constant can fit the data as well, or even better, than the ΛCDM model. Calculations with EdeS models yield unexpectedly low values for Hubble’s constant of h = 0.30 and 0.46, respectively. These values are completely inconsistent with the direct determination of h ~ 0.70 from the redshift (RS) of spectral lines. In the present paper I consider whether the gap between h = 0.3 and h = 0.7 could be explained using conventional physics without introducing further hypotheses, or whether the RS of starlight and the RS of the CMB could stem from different physical origins.

Seedling vigor in tomato and paprika is affected by variety. Genotype selection under environmental stresses and its effects on seedling vigor was investigated. During the year 2021, the study was carried out and it revealed an appropriate selection for open field gardeners. The selection of two drought-tolerant, and one non-drought tolerant cultivars was the initial stage. Six commercial genotypes were evaluated (three for tomato and three for paprika). The second phase involved planting cultivars till the cotyledon leaves phase, and the first set of true leaves. Seedlings were investigated under simulated environmental stresses of non-ideal temperatures, low humidity, closed spacing, minimum light dose, nutrient-deficient water, and spraying a lower dosage of salicylic acid. The evaluation of seedling’s growth was performed by measuring germination percentage, seedling length, shoot length, root length, seedling fresh weight, seedling dry weight, and seedling vigor index. Tomato (Mobil) and paprika (Carma) seedlings outperform other varieties, possibly because of the variety’s vigor under various stress conditions. These findings reveal that tomato (Mobil) and paprika (Carma) had a positive impact on development and may be raised under optimal conditions of nurseries and then be transferred to open-air environmental and biological exposed conditions in Hungary.

对于具有较高受试者个体间差异的药物进行生物等效性(BE)和生物类似性评价时,使用通常的双单侧检验(TOST)法既十分困难,甚至也不可能;除非不考虑伦理规范,而进行大样本的人体试验。因此,美国食品药品管理局(FDA)和欧盟药品管理局(EMA)等监管机构对高个体差异药品的生物等效性评价分别颁布了替代方法。这2个监管机构的替代方法依据相同的原理,但是关键细节略有不同。FDA建议当受试者个体间差异超过30%时,使用"标化均值生物等效性"(scaled-average BE,SABE)评价;该方式使用已有计算机软件通过线性转换来计算等效性的95%上限;并要求采用第2级标准评价:两产品间相关参数的几何均值之比的点评估(point estimate)在0.80到1.25之间。而EMA则建议采用"带扩展限度的平均生物等效性"(average BE with expanding limits,ABEL)进行高个体差异药品的评价;该方式与SABE方式相关,但可以使用简单的双单侧检验方法进行评估;EMA也要求采用相同的第,2级标准评价,且要求这2个标准仅适用于受试者个体间差异不超过50%的情形。这2个机构采用了不同的监管常数(等效性评价指标)。FDA建议的计算指标会使生物等效限不连续,且所需样本量大,并且在CV=30%附近有很高的I型误差。而EMA的评价指标不会产生这种不连续性,I型误差也很低。总之,EMA的评价方法更好。

Determining Cost-Efficiency and Regulation Policy for Water Transfer of Lake Balaton by Stochastic Dynamic Programming

The present research is based upon a comprehensive survey which discusses the slightly tolerable water level of Balaton between 2000 and 2003. The low water level of the extreme period caused considerable problems in recreation. Our goal was to investigate the possible water transfer policies and the water level regulation policy of Lake Balaton by applying the dynamic programming of Markov chains. This iteration supports the cost-benefit analysis of different scenarios and also provides information about the best water governing policy. As a basis of our scientific analysis, Markov chains were created by ARMA （autoregressive moving average） synthetic data generator. Profit was joined to each transition-probability for the economic analysis. In our case the profit was negative, because the harmful effects of the low water level should be estimated, which is based on the calculated willingness-to-pay for improving the water quality of Lake Balaton. In addition, the profit includes the cost of different water supplement scenarios. After computer programming, the method proved to be an efficient tool to buttress the cost-benefit analysis of water supplement scenarios. The result highlights the importance of further climate change monitoring. Calculation confirmed water transfer to be cost-effective, yet scenarios with less ecological risk are also effective, thus preferable.

We compare the Hubble diagram calculated from the observed redshift (RS)/magnitude (μ) data of 280 Supernovae in the RS range of z = 0.0104 to 8.1 with Hubble diagrams inferred on the basis of the exponential tired light and the Lambda Cold Dark Matter (ΛCDM) cosmological model. We show that the experimentally measured Hubble diagram follows clearly the exponential photon flight time (tS)/RS relation, whilst the data calculated on the basis of the ΛCDM model exhibit poor agreement with the observed data.

An integrated hydrological model has been applied for a rural-urban catchment of the Szamos-Kraszna interfluve geographic area, using the WateRisk integrated hydrological model system. The aim of the hydrological simulations was to identify the role that the relief plays in the water coverage formation process, and to highlight the possible consequences of it on phosphorus transport processes. To support this aim, the rainfall-runoff and the one-dimensional flow routing modules have been modelled, and maximal water cover has been calculated. Measured water coverage data by remote sensing have been compared to calculated maximum water cover in several ways. Results support the existing perspective on excess water formation namely that the process is very complex, therefore, the coincidence of the locations of measured water cover with calculated maximum water cover based on the DEM （digital elevation model） and the river network is low. Analysis shows that as far as the larger depressions of the area are concerned, the error of the DEM is not high, but it is likely that at locations with small altitude differences, the error of DEM can cause larger errors. The results foreshadow the importance of the micro relief of the area on phosphorus transport.

A New Problem with Cross-Species Amplification of Microsatellites: Generation of Non-Homologous Products

Microsatellites have been widely used in studies on population genetics, ecology and evolutionary biology. However, microsatellites are not always available for the species to be studied and their isolation could be time-consuming. In order to save time and effort researchers often rely on cross-species amplification. We revealed a new problem of microsatellite cross-species amplification in addition to size homoplasy by analyzing the sequences of electromorphs from seven catfish species belonging to three different families （Clariidae, Heteropneustidae and Pimelodidae）. A total of 50 different electromorphs were amplified from the seven catfish species by using primers for 4 microsatellite loci isolated from the species Clarias batrachus. Two hundred and forty PCR-products representing all 50 electromorphs were sequenced and analyzed. Primers for two loci amplified specific products from orthologous loci in all species tested, whereas primers for the other two loci produced specific and polymorphic bands from some non-orthologous loci, even in closely related non-source species. Size homoplasy within the source species was not obvious, whereas extensive size homoplasy across species were detected at three loci, but not at the fourth one. These data suggest that amplification of products from non-orthologous loci and appearance of size homoplasy by cross-amplification are locus dependent, and do not reflect phylogenetic relationship. Amplification of non-orthologous loci and appearance of size homoplasy will lead to obvious complications in phylogenetie interference, population genetic and evolutionary studies. Therefore, we propose that sequence analysis of cross-amplification products should be conducted prior to application of cross-species amplification of microsatellites.

The pyrolysis of different waste polymers （polyethylene, polypropylene and polystyrene） was investigated in a tube reactor at 550 ℃ in the absence of oxygen. Additionally the energetic utilization of products have also been followed both in refining and petrochemical industry. Pyrolysis products were separated into fractions of gases, naphtha, middle distillates and heavy oil. Raw materials have been collected both from industrial and household sources： polyethylene from agriculture, polyethylene from packaging and polystyrene from packaging and electronic equipments. Yields and properties of volatile products have changed by the raw materials. Products have been analyzed by gas chromatography. Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy, size exclusion chromatography and other standardized methods. Naphtha had high octane numbers （80 〈 RON）, while high cetane numbers （〉 75） in case of middle distillates. Moreover fractions contained approximately half of unsaturated hydrocarbons, mainly α-olefins, but the percentage was depending on the raw materials. These properties are advantageous for fuel-like applications.
