Background The savannah ecosystems of Sahel have experienced continuous and heavy grazing of livestock for centuries but still, their vegetation response to grazing pressure remains poorly understood. In this study, we analysed the herbaceous plant dynamics, measured by species diversity, composition, cover, and biomass in response to grazing pressure in the savannah ecosystems of Sahel. In Senegal, we selected four savannah sites represented with high, moderate, light and no grazing intensity levels. Transect survey methods were used for sampling the vegetation data within each of the sites. Species richness and composition were analysed using species accumulation curve and multivariate analyses. Furthermore, we used General Linear Models and a piecewise Structural Equation Model(p SEM) to examine the relationships between grazing intensity, vegetation cover, diversity and *** The herbaceous species diversity and composition varied significantly among the different grazing intensity levels(p <0.001). The plant species composition shifted from the dominance of grass cover to the dominance of forb cover with increasing grazing pressure. Moreover, the attributes of species diversity, herbaceous biomass, and ground cover were higher on sites with low grazing than sites with high and moderate grazing intensity. Across all sites, species diversity was positively related to total biomass. The p SEM explained 37% of the variance in total biomass and revealed that grazing intensity negatively influenced total biomass both directly and indirectly through its negative influence on species *** Managing grazing intensity may lead to higher plant production and higher mixed forage establishment in the dryland savannah ecosystems. This information can be used to support land management strategies and promote sustainable grazing practices that balance the needs of livestock with the conservation of ecosystem health and biodiversity.

目的探讨维生素C与热处理对肺癌A549细胞的作用及相关机制。方法应用不同浓度的维生素C(终浓度0、1、2、4、8 mmol/L)与不同温度(37℃和41℃)作用于A549细胞,采用CCK8法检测细胞活性,FRASC维生素C检测分析试剂盒Ⅱ检测细胞内总维生素C的浓度;然后分为对照组(37℃,0 mmol/L维生素C)、维生素C组(37℃,8 mmol/L维生素C)、热处理组(41℃,0 mmol/L维生素C)、联合组(41℃,8 mmol/L维生素C)干预24 h,荧光标记2-脱氧葡萄糖(2-NBDG)检测A549细胞葡萄糖摄取量,蛋白质印迹检测GLUT1、GLUT3、PI3K、AKT、p-PI3K、p-AKT、HIF-1α蛋白表达水平,检测结果均应用方差分析及LST-t检验进行统计分析。结果A549细胞活力随维生素C浓度增加而下降(P<0.05),41℃热处理的细胞在维生素C干预后的细胞活力均低于37℃(P<0.05);细胞内总维生素C水平随干预浓度增加而升高,热处理的细胞在2、4、8 mmol/L维生素C干预后,细胞内维生素C水平均高于37℃(P<0.05);分组干预后,与对照组相比,维生素C组、热处理组及联合组的细胞内葡萄糖摄取量均降低(P<0.05),且热处理组低于维生素C组(P<0.05),而联合组又低于维生素C组和热处理组(P<0.05);三个干预组的GLUT1、PI3K、p-PI3K、p-AKT蛋白表达水平均低于对照组(P<0.05),维生素C组的GLUT3、HIF-1α,及联合组的GLUT3、HIF-1α、AKT均低于对照组(P<0.05);联合组的GLUT1、PI3K、p-PI3K蛋白表达水平低于维生素C组(P<0.05),联合组的GLUT3、AKT、p-PI3K、HIF-1α均低于维生素C组和热处理组(P<0.05)。结论维生素C联合热处理显著地抑制A549细胞PI3K/AKT/HIF-1α通路,下调GLUT1和GLUT3的表达,减少细胞内的葡萄糖摄取,抑制A549细胞增殖。

Colorectal cancer(CRC) is the third most common cancer in men and the second most common cancer in women,worldwide. In the early stages of the disease, biomarkers predicting early relapse would improve survival *** metastatic patients, the use of predictive biomarkers could potentially result in more personalized treatments and better outcomes. The CXC family of chemokines(CXCL1 to 17) are small(8 to 10 kDa) secreted proteins that attract neutrophils and lymphocytes. These chemokines signal through chemokine receptors(CXCR) 1 to *** studies have reported that these chemokines and receptors have a role in either the promotion or inhibition of cancer, depending on their capacity to suppress or stimulate the action of the immune system, *** general terms, activation of the CXCR1/CXCR2 pathway or the CXCR4/CXCR7 pathway is associated with tumor aggressiveness and poor prognosis; therefore,the specific inhibition of these receptors is a possible therapeutic strategy. On the other hand, the lesser known CXCR3 and CXCR5 axes are generally considered to be tumor suppressor signaling pathways, and their stimulation has been suggested as a way to fight *** pathways have been studied in tumor tissues(using immunohistochemistry or measuring mRNA levels)or serum [using enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay(ELISA) or multiplexing techniques], among other sample types. The extractable hydrokinetic power from an oscillating membrane in standing motion and induced by a water flow and its possible significance with regard energy harvesting is *** main attractiveness of such an energy harvester lies in the possibility of an inexpensive technology able to be used in those water flows which either because limitation of space(narrow channels) or a limited differential pressure drop with the surrounding but yet with a non negligible velocity are not well suited to be turbined. Utilizing a simplified geometrical model, an estimate of the extractable output density power per area of membrane was derived. Preliminary experiments were performed using a rectangular thin rubber membrane and for a typical domestic water intake as source. The experimental data quantitatively agree very well with the theoretical prediction where it was found that for water flows around 2 m/s the output power density from the membrane may be around 30 mW/cm^2 of membrane. Additional research and development is required in order to arrive at a reliable practical and commercial design.

The objective of this work is to provide decision-making processes with an updated/real picture of the mobile resources in industrial environments through a constant feedback of *** combination of identification technologies and wireless sensor networks(WSN) is proposed as a key development to guarantee an accurate and timely supply of online information regarding the localization and tracking of the mobile wireless *** approach uses a cooperative and distributed localization system,called ZigID,which is a WSN based on a Zigbee network with radio frequency identification(RFID) active tags as end *** WSN can recover not only the ID information stored at the tags attached to mobile resources,but also any other useful data captured by specific sensors for acceleration,temperature,humidity and fuel *** paper also shows the development of ZigID,including devices and information flows,as well as its implementation in ground handling operations at the Ciudad Real Central Airport,Spain.

也谈粟在史前西藏的传播

从昌都卡若遗址出土粟以来,粟在史前西藏的传播便是一热门研究问题,但是目前基于植物考古的资料十分有限,除了为我们提供一些关键的节点之外,尚不足以对西藏地区内部的传播问题加以全面把握。文章在考古发现与前人研究的基础上,尝试运用多学科交叉的方法挖掘出历史文献与语言学上的一些新证据。从文献资料反推显示,至迟在吐蕃时期,以雅鲁藏布江中游地带为主的吐蕃腹地似乎是没有本地种植粟的。从语言学材料看,粟名在上古汉语、古今藏语、我国西南少数民族现代语,甚至现代南亚语的发音均显示出高度的一致性,因而认为它很可能与史前汉藏语系和藏缅语族的人群及其语言扩散事件有关。结合这一区域考古发现与历史语言地理学上的相关性来看,西藏地区最早的粟或是藏缅语族的群体从黄河上游携带至藏东的横断山区,再顺着藏缅走廊传播至中南半岛北部;西藏腹地史前遗址考古发现的粟,推测除了从横断山区向西沿雅鲁藏布江一直扩散之外,也不排除从高原南部喜马拉雅山地低海拔地区北进的可能。
