The identification of comets in Chinese historical records

The historical records of astronomical phenomena may play a significant role in comet *** an accurate result is based on many factors,of which the calculation of orbital elements is the most *** paper presents a "Cross Reference" method in which the perturbation of Jupiter is the only considered factor used to attempt an efficient way of comet identification with ancient Chinese historical *** this method,the records before and after the calculated result from orbital determination within the error range are compared with the historical records to find the correlated perihelion time,and then,with five other orbital elements at the perihelion time,the ephemeris is *** the calculated ephemeris matches the historical records,it is concluded that the comet determined by orbital calculation is the same as the one recorded in *** this method,three comets with four historical records have already been found.

Previous studies have shown that porous hydrated calcium silicate （PS） is very effective in decreasing cadmium （Cd） content in brown rice. However, it is unclear whether the PS influences cadmium transformation in soil. The present study examined the effect of PS on pH, cadmium transformation and cadmium solubility in Andosol and Alluvial soil, and also compared its effects with CaCO3, acidic porous hydrated calcium silicate （APS） and silica gel. Soil cadmium was operationally fractionationed into exchangeable （Exch）, bound to carbonates （Carb）, bound to iron and manganese oxides （FeMnOx）, bound to organic matters （OM） and residual （Res） fraction. Application of PS and CaCO3 at hig rates enhanced soil pH, while APS and silica gel did not obviously change soil pH. PS and CaCO3 also increased the FeMnOx-Cd in Andosol and Carb-Cd in Alluvial soil, thus reducing the Exch-Cd in the tested soils. However, PS was less effective than CaCO3 at the same application rate. Cadmium fractions in the two soils were not changed by the treatments of APS and silica gel. There were no obvious differences in the solubility of cadmium in soils treated with PS, APS, silica gel and CaCO3 except Andosol treated 2.0% CaCO3 at the same pH of soil-CaC12 suspensions. These findings suggested that the decrease of cadmium availability in soil was mainly attributed to the increase of soil pH caused by PS.

Medical Sign Recognition of Lung Nodules Based on Image Retrieval with Semantic Features and Supervised Hashing

Sign recognition is important for identifying benign and malignant nodules. This paper proposes a new sign recognition method based on image retrieval for lung nodules. First, we construct a deep learning framework to extract semantic features that can effectively represent sign information. Second, we translate the high-dimensional image features into compact binary codes with principal component analysis （PCA） and supervised hashing. Third, we retrieve similar lung nodule images with the presented adaptive-weighted similarity calculation method. Finally, we recognize nodule signs from the retrieval results, which can also provide decision support for diagnosis of lung lesions. The proposed method is validated on the publicly available databases： lung image database consortium and image database resource initiative （LIDC-IDRI） and lung computed tomography （CT） imaging signs （LISS）. The experimental results demonstrate our retrieval method substantially improves retrieval performance compared with those using traditional Hamming distance, and the retrieval precision can achieve 87.29%when the length of hash code is 48 bits. The entire recognition rate on the basis of the retrieval results can achieve 93.52%. Moreover, our method is also effective for real-life diagnosis data.
