Endoscopy-assisted ocular surgery is a relatively old technique that is increasingly being recognized for its application in cases of vitreoretinal disease. This technique is especially useful when both the vitreous and retina are difficult to access because of media opacity, a small pupil, or a microcornea. In this context, the anterior vitreous is often difficult to dissect because of its complex pathological changes. This article reviews the common anatomical features and pathologies that are observed in the anterior vitreous, as well as the applications and indications of endoscopy-assisted vitrectomy in the anterior vitreous.

Wet age-related macular degeneration which incidence increases year by year is a blinding eye disease, but current clinical methods of treatment on this disease are limited and the outcome is not ideal. Recent studies have found abnormally high expression of tissue factors which are targets for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration to achieve a certain effect in the choroidal neovascularization. Related literatures are reviewed as following.

Objective: Patients with head and neck cancer often suffer from malnutrition. This study aims to investigate the influence of body mass index(BMI) on the prognosis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma(LSCC).Methods: A total of 473 patients with LSCC initially treated at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center between January 2005 and July 2009 were retrospectively reviewed. Survival analysis was performed by the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox regression ***: Low BMI before treatment was significantly associated with poor overall survival in patients with LSCC(P<0.001). BMI was an independent prognostic factor for patients with ***: Leanness before treatment was associated with poor prognosis in patients with LSCC. Good nutritional status is favorable to improve survival in patients with LSCC.

Soil microorganisms play pivotal roles in element biogeochemical cycling and ecological functions in wetland ecosystem,which may affect global climate *** in biotic and abiotic factors are known to affect soil microbial diversity,community structure and the corresponding ***,the relative importance of these biotic and abiotic factors on wetland soil microbial diversity and community structure on the QinghaiTibet Plateau remains poorly *** this study,we explored soil bacterial and fungal diversity and composition of five wetlands under two vegetation types(herbs vs Hippophae thibetana)in Changdu area,Tibet,through Illumina high throughput sequencing analysis of 16S rRNA for bacteria and internal transcribed spacer(ITS)for *** showed that soil bacterial alpha diversity was higher in *** dominated wetlands and was significantly and positively correlated with soil *** difference was detected in the soil fungal alpha diversity among samples and between vegetation *** dominant soil bacterial phyla were Proteobacteria,Actinobacteria,Acidobacteria,and *** Ascomycota,Basidiomycota and Mucoromycota were the dominant fungal *** bacterial and fungal community structures were significantly distinct by vegetation *** addition,redundancy analysis indicated that soil pH was the key factor shaping soil bacterial community ***,soil p H showed no effect on fungal ***,soil dissolved organic carbon was the major factor contributing to soil fungal community *** study emphasized that wetland soil microbial communities were distinct by vegetation types and the driving factors of microbial beta diversity between bacterial and fungal community were also different in wetlands in Changdu area.

In order to investigate the possibility of the recently observed X（5568） being a 0＋ tetraquark state, we make an improvement to the study of the related various configuration states in the framework of the QCD sum rules. Particularly, to ensure the quality of the analysis, condensates up to dimension 12 are included to inspect the convergence of operator product expansion （OPE） and improve the final results of the studied states. We note that some condensate contributions could play an important role on the OPE side. By releasing the rigid OPE convergence criterion, we arrive at the numerical value 5.57-0.23＋0.35 GeV for the scalar-scalar diquark-antidiquark 0＋ state, which agrees with the experimental data for the X（5568） and could support its interpretation in terms of a 0＋ tetraquark state with the scalar-scalar configuration. The corresponding result for the axial-axial current is calculated to be 5.77-0.33＋0.44 GeV, which is still consistent with the mass of X（5568） in view of the uncertainty. The feasibility of X（5568） being a tetraquark state with the axial-axial configuration therefore cannot be definitely excluded. For the pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar and the vector-vector cases, their unsatisfactory OPE convergence make it difficult to find reasonable work windows to extract the hadronic information.

AIM:To assess the utility and efficiency of endoscopyassisted vitrectomy(EAV)for the treatment of corneal opacity in severe ocular ***:Patients who underwent fundus examination using a preoperative slit lamp and intraoperative endoscopy,followed by EAV and additional surgery were retrospectively *** oil removal and penetrating keratoplasty were used in selected eyes at postoperative *** measurements included the best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),intraocular pressure(IOP),findings of endoscopic fundus examination,and postoperative ***:Twenty-one eyes with severe ocular trauma and corneal opacity were followed up for *** detachment(RD)and vitreous haemorrhage(VH)were identified in 16 eyes(76.2%),RD only in four eyes(19.0%),and VH combined with intraocular foreign body in one eye(4.8%).All eyes underwent at least three ***-Ⅰ surgeries involved wound closure(100%),lens extraction(76.2%),and anterior vitrectomy(14.3%).Stage-Ⅱ surgeries involved scleral buckling(28.6%),membrane peeling(47.6%),retinal laser photocoagulation(100%)and silicone oil tamponade(100%)using ***-Ⅲ surgeries were conducted using endoscopy including silicone oil removal(52.4%),retinal laser photocoagulation(52.4%)and penetrating keratoplasty(28.6%).Nearly all eyes showed improvements in BCVA and *** there were no severe complications,glaucoma was noted in one eye,chronic hypotony in another eye,and band keratopathy in three ***:EAV is an effective adjunct for restoring ocular anatomical structures and visual function in the case of corneal opacity after severe ocular trauma.

·AIM: To report outcomes of endoscopy-assisted vitrectomy(EAV) in patients with chronic hypotony following severe ocular trauma or vitrectomy.·METHODS: This was a retrospective, noncomparative case series. Ciliary bodies were evaluated using ultrasound biomicroscopy pre-operatively and direct visualisation intraoperatively. All selected individuals(seven patients/seven eyes) underwent EAV. Removal of ciliary membrane and traction, gas/silicone oil tamponade(GT/SOT), and scleral buckling(SB) were performed in selected eyes. Outcome measurements mainly included intraocular pressure(IOP) and best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA).·RESULTS: Seven eyes from 7 male aphakic patients with a mean age of 45(range, 20-68)y were included in this study;the average follow-up time was 12(9-15)mo. GT was performed in 2 eyes;membrane peeling(MP) and SOT in 2 eyes;and MP, SOT, and SB in 3 eyes. The mean preand post-operative IOP were 4.5(range, 4.0±0.11 to 4.8±0.2) mm Hg and 9.9(range, 5.6±0.17 to 12.1±0.2) mm Hg at 52wk(12mo), respectively. BCVA improved in six eyes;one eye still showed light perception, and no bulbi phthisis was observed.·CONCLUSION: Endoscopy offers improved judgment and recognition and has an improved prognosis for chronic hypotony. Therefore, endoscopy can be an effective and promising operative technique for chronic traumatic hypotony management.

目的:分析1型糖尿病(T1DM)患儿住院期间发生低血糖的相关因素。方法:研究对象为江西省儿童医院自2021年12月-2023年12月收治的638例T1DM住院患儿,根据住院期间是否发生低血糖将患儿分为低血糖组(504例)和未发生低血糖组(134例),统计T1DM患儿各时段低血糖发生情况,并对比两组患儿的临床资料,应用logistic回归分析筛选T1DM患儿住院期间发生低血糖的影响因素。结果:638例T1DM患儿住院期间低血糖发生率为79.00%;在检测的8个时间段中,早餐前低血糖发生密度最高,其中1级低血糖发生率为9.20%,2级低血糖发生密度为5.04%,其次为夜间,1级低血糖发生密度为6.19%,2级低血糖发生密度为4.50%,晚餐后2 h低血糖发生密度最低,1级低血糖发生密度为1.05%,2级低血糖发生密度为0.54%;两组性别、体重指数、胰岛素使用种类、空腹血糖(FPG)、甘油三酯(TG)、合并肝脏疾病、合并眼部疾病、住院天数、照护者与患儿的关系,照护者的性别、年龄、受教育年限比较差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05),两组年龄、近期确诊、胰岛素注射方式、糖化血红蛋白(HbA1c)比较,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05);logistic回归分析显示,年龄、近期确诊、胰岛素注射方式均是T1DM患儿住院期间发生低血糖的影响因素(P<0.05)。结论:T1DM患儿住院期间低血糖发生率较高,多发生在早餐前、夜间,年龄、近期确诊、胰岛素注射方式、HbA1c均是T1DM患儿住院期间发生低血糖的独立影响因素,针对危险因素制定预防策略或能降低T1DM患儿低血糖风险。
