Comparison of properties of traditional and accelerated carbonated solidified/stabilized contaminated soils

The investigation of the long-term performance of solidified/stabilized （S/S） contaminated soils was carried out in a trial site in southeast UK. The soils were exposed to the maximum natural weathering for four years and sampled at various depths in a controlled manner. The chemical properties （e.g., degree of carbonation （DOC）, pH, electrical conductivity （EC）） and physical properties （e.g., moisture content （MC）, liquid limit CLL）, plastic limit （PL）, plasticity index （PI）） of the samples untreated and treated with the traditional and accelerated carbonated S/S processes were analyzed. Their variations on the depths of the soils were also studied. The result showed that the broad geotechnical properties of the soils, manifested in their PIs, were related to the concentration of the water soluble ions and in particular the free calcium ions. The samples treated with the accelerated carbonation technology （ACT）, and the untreated samples contained limited number of free calcium ions in solutions and consequently interacted with waters in a similar way. Compared with the traditional cement-based S/S technology, e.g., treatment with ordinary portland cement （OPC） or EnvirOceM, ACT caused the increase of the PI of the treated soil and made it more stable during long-term weathering. The PI values for the four soils ascended according to the order： the EnvirOceM soil, the OPC soil, the ACT soil, and the untreated soil while their pH and EC values descended according to the same order.

Detection and treatment of water inflow in karst tunnel：A case study in Daba tunnel

In a karst tunnel, fissures or cracks that are filled with weathered materials are a type of potential water outlet as they are easily triggered and converted into groundwater outlets under the influence of high groundwater pressure. A terrible water inrush caused by potential water outlets can seriously hinder the project construction. Potential water outlets and water sources that surrounding the tunnel must be detected before water inflow can be treated. This paper provides a successful case of the detection and treatment of water inflow in a karst tunnel and proposes a potential water outlet detection(PWOD) method in which heavy rainfall(>50 mm/d) is considered a trigger for a potential water outlet. The Daba tunnel located in Hunan province, China, has been constructed in a karst stratum where the rock mass has been weathered intensely by the influence of two faults. Heavy rain triggered some potential water outlets, causing a serious water inrush. The PWOD method was applied in this project for the treatment of water inflow, and six potential water outlets in total were identified through three heavy rains. Meanwhile, a geophysical prospecting technique was also used to detect water sources. The connections between water outlets and water sources were identified with a 3-D graphic that included all of them. According to the distribution of water outlets and water sources, the detection area was divided into three sections and separately treated by curtain grouting.

Chemical insecticides targeting the digestive system of diamondback moth(DBM),Plutella xylostella,have not been *** discovery of an insecticide with novel mode of action is a challenge for the control of *** this study,a class of selenium-and difluoromethyl-modified azoles(fluoroazole selenoureas,FASU)were designed and synthesized for the control of *** these azoles,compound B4 showed the highest insecticidal activity against *** LC50of third-and second-instar larvae reached 32.3 and 4.6μg mL^(–1),*** midgut tissue of larvae was severely disrupted,and the larval intestinal tissue was dotted with unique red spots after treatment with compound *** B4 led to disintegration of the peritrophic matrix,swelling of the midgut epithelium,fracture of the microvilli,and extensive leakage of cellular debris in the midgut *** larvae grew very slowly,and the larval duration was significantly prolonged after exposure to compound B4 at sublethal doses(LC10,LC25and LC50).Furthermore,the pupation rate,emergence rate and pupae weight were significantly *** B4 also induced abnormal pupae,causing adults to be trapped in the cocoon or failure to fly due to twisted *** results demonstrated that FASU could reduce the population of DBM in sublethal *** is the first synthetic insecticidal lead compound that has been shown to disrupt the midgut tissue of the larvae of DBM,and its mode of action totally differs from that of commercial chemical insecticides.

在东盟和中日韩的共同努力下,东亚金融合作取得丰硕成果。近年来,受到中美贸易战、新冠疫情、乌克兰危机、美国滥用金融制裁等因素影响,东亚金融合作呈现出积极适应外部变化的新趋势,特别是“10+3”成员国开始推动本地货币在跨境交易中的使用。东亚金融合作新动向主要受到国际货币体系变动和地缘政治博弈两方面的影响,东亚国家在外汇储备库、地区债券资本市场和本地货币上的合作,意在持续降低自身和地区的脆弱性,并非主要是内生驱动的金融一体化努力。鉴于现有制度安排为美国与东亚国家之间、中国和日本之间以及东盟与中日之间三组关系相互作用下的平衡选择,为维护地区金融稳定,中国应积极发挥引领作用,深化东亚金融合作、推动国际货币体系改革,为地区金融稳定创造良好的外部制度环境,同时积极谋划亚洲货币基金方案,为解决地区金融治理赤字贡献中国智慧。

Human cognition is usually underpinned by intrinsic structure and functional neural co-activation in spatially distributed brain *** to lacking an effective approach to quantifying the covarying of structure and functional responses,how the structural–functional circuits interact and how genes encode the relationships,to deepen our knowledge of human cognition and disease,are still ***,we propose a multimodal covariance network(MCN)construction approach to capture interregional covarying of the structural skeleton and transient functional activities for a single *** further explored the potential association between brain-wide gene expression patterns and structural–functional covarying in individuals involved in a gambling task and individuals with major depression disorder(MDD),adopting multimodal data from a publicly available human brain transcriptomic atlas and 2 independent *** analysis showed a replicable cortical structural–functional fine map in healthy individuals,and the expression of cognition-and disease phenotype-related genes was found to be spatially correlated with the corresponding MCN *** analysis of cell type-specific signature genes suggests that the excitatory and inhibitory neuron transcriptomic changes could account for most of the observed correlation with task-evoked MCN differences.

The fusion of VlSI （visual identity system Internet）, digital maps and Web GIS is presented. Web GIS interface interactive design with VISI needs to consider more new factors. VISI can provide the design principle, elements and contents for the Web GIS. The design of the Wuhan Bus Search System is fulfilled to confirm the validity and practicability of the fusion.
