An ultrabroad and sharp transition bandpass flexible terahertz(THz)filter is designed using a multiple-layered *** bandpass filter has excellent filtering capability,with a 3 dB bandwidth of about 0.47 THz and sharp band-edge transitions of 80 dB/THz and 96 dB/THz,respectively,and it can be realized by a coupling individual resonance *** find that the geometry parameters have an influence on the transmission profile,which are capable of giving us meaningful guidance in design of high profile bandpass THz *** numerical results show that the multiple-layered flexible metamaterial provides an effective way to achieve ultrabroad THz devices.

2205/Q235B clad steel plates were fabricated using a thermal *** metallographic microscope,scanning electron microscope,energy-dispersive spectrometer,shear test,electrochemical corrosion test and acid immersion test were used to study the influence of the pass reduction ratio on the microstructure and properties of 2205/Q235B clad steel *** results show that the clad steel plates had a good bonding surface when the pass reduction ratios were between 16.3%and 36.0%.There existed the mutual diffusion effect of elements near the bonding surface,which caused the long austenite strip on the side of 2205 stainless steel and the decarburization layer on the side of Q235B low-carbon *** transformation ofδferrite toγaustenite and the generation of the decarburization layer were promoted because of the lower pass reduction *** corrosio n resista nee of 2205 duplex-phases stainless steel worse ned by the decrease in 8 ferrite con *** increase in the decarburization layer thickness made the shear strength of the clad steel plates reduce from 453 to 390 *** potential of the decarburization layer was lower than that of 2205 stainless steel and Q235B low-carb on steel,which was easily corroded in the corrosive medium.

A Case Study of Intercultural Interventions for Chinese University Students During Study Abroad Program in the University of Minnesota

In 21st Century, Chinese and American universities are experiencing great development in the number of students studying abroad. This research adopts the method of natural investigation, selecting Chinese student samples during study abroad program in the University of Minnesota to complete the designed questionnaires to examine the intercultural interventions taken before, during and after this type of study abroad in Chinese universities. Also, after students complete the questionnaires, email communication is made to analyze the reasons for their answers to the questionnaires. The questionnaire results and email communication show that there is a great gap in the practice of intercultural interventions in study abroad programs between Chinese universities and students expectations. It is time for Chinese universities to design appropriate intercultural interventions in order to maximize Chinese university students＇ intercultural development during study abroad. These intercultural interventions should be run consistently to cover the phrases of pre-departure, during and after the study abroad program. Also, more dynamic and interactive intercultural interventions rather than knowledge-based intercultural instructions or guidance should be the focus for intercultural interventions.

A novel patterned metamaterial,composed of graphene layer and metal periodic array of split ring resonators （SRRs） and cross-shapedresonators （CSRs）, with broadband terahertz （THz） wave modulation was proposed and theoretically studied. It demonstrated that a broad passband high transmission of over 96.1% in the frequency range from 1.02 THz to 1.66 THz and two narrow band resonance frequencies f1 and f2 could be generated. The modulation depth of transmission was 29.2% when the graphene layer was covered on the metal metamaterial surface, and the modulation depth could be further increased by increasing the Fermi energy of graphene layer and reached approximately 79.5% at 1.0 eV in a broadband THz frequency range. The resonance frequencies of f1 and f2 were blue-shifted, and their modulation depths reached about 63.2% and 18%, respectively. These results show that the ultrathin graphene-metal metamaterial exhibits potential to achieve highperformance active THz devices and may offer widespread applications.

Balanced Nutrition Practiced with Limitations during the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Experience of Teachers in Subang District, West Java, Indonesia

The purpose of the study is to assess the knowledge on Balanced Nutrition and its practices among pre-school teachers in Subang district, West Java, Indonesia before and during the COVID-19 pandemic (before March 2020 vs. October 2021) and to seek differences in the knowledge and practices of teachers who attended nutrition training and those who did not attend any nutrition training. We evaluated the knowledge and practice of 142 teachers based on 10 messages of the 2014 Indonesian Balanced Nutrition Guidelines, using google online survey platform. The top three messages mostly selected by the teachers were consuming a variety of staple foods (87%), drinking adequate and safe water (87%), and eating plenty of vegetables and fruits (86%), while the least selected were enjoying a variety of foods (41%) and reading food labels (28%). A slight increase was found in teachers who consumed fruits daily, while the practice of washing hands before and during the pandemic was statistically and significantly increased (58% to 72%;p lanced Nutrition should continue.

Improvements in plant architecture,such as reduced plant height under high-density planting,are important for agricultural *** and gibberellin(GA)are essential external and internal cues that affect plant *** this study,we characterize the direct interaction of distinct receptors that link light and GA signaling in Arabidopsis(Arabidopsis thaliana)and wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).We show that the light receptor CRY1 represses GA signaling through interaction with all five DELLA proteins and promotion of RGA protein accumulation in *** analysis shows that CRY1-mediated growth repression is achieved by means of the DELLA ***,we find that CRY1 also directly interacts with the GA receptor GID1 to competitively inhibit the GID1-GAI *** also show that overexpression of TaCRY1a reduces plant height and coleoptile growth in wheat and that TaCRY1a interacts with both TaGID1 and Rht1 to competitively attenuate the TaGID1-Rht1 *** on these findings,we propose that the photoreceptor CRY1 competitively inhibits the GID1-DELLA interaction,thereby stabilizing DELLA proteins and enhancing their repression of plant growth.

Hydrogen energy is expected to be an“ideal fuel”in the era of *** discovery,de-velopment,and modification of high-performance hydrogen storage materials are the keys to the fu-ture development of solid-state hydrogen storage and hydrogen energy *** hydride(MgH_(2)),with its high hydrogen storage capacity,abundant natural reserves,and environmental friend-liness,has been extensively ***,we briefly summarize the typical structure and hy-drogenation/dehydrogenation reaction mechanism of MgH_(2)and provide a comprehensive overview of strategies to effectively tune the thermodynamics and kinetics of Mg-based materials,such as alloy-ing,nanosizing,the introduction of additives,and composite *** substantial efforts,great achievements have been achieved,such as lower absorption/desorption temperatures and better cy-cling ***,some pivotal issues remain to be addressed,such as unfavorable hydro-genation/dehydrogenation factors,harsh conditions,slow kinetics,incomplete dehydrogenation,low hy-drogen purity,expensive catalysts,and a lack of valid exploration of mechanisms in the hydrogena-tion/dehydrogenation ***,some future development prospects of MgH_(2)in energy-efficient conversion and storage have been presented,including advanced manufacturing ways,stabilization of nanostructures,the introduction of additives combined with structural modification,and utilization of advanced characterization techniques.
