Method of Stabilizing the Surface Energy of Fabrics Coated with Silicone

Silicone coatings have been used in this study. The method adopted was the liquid drop analysis on the coated fabrics. The contact angle between a liquid drop and the fabric surface was measured with two liquids continuously and recorded by a computer. The surface energy was calculated by means of Owens *** measurement was adopted. The contact angle of liquids on the fabric coated silicone decreased with time was found. A compound solution DX has been found, so that the contact angle of the liquids on the fabric washed with DX becomes constant, and the surface energy of the fabric can be reduced to below 15 mJ/m2.

This paper proposes three fractional discrete chaotic systems based on the Rulkov,Chang,and Zeraoulia–Sprott rational *** dynamics of the proposed maps are investigated by means of phase plots and bifurcations *** stabilization schemes are proposed for each of the three maps and the convergence of the states is established by using the Lyapunov ***,a combination synchronization scheme is proposed whereby a combination of the fractional Rulkov and Chang maps is synchronized to the fractional Zeraoulia-Sprott *** results are used to confirm the findings of the paper.

Bacterial leaf blight of rice (BLB), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae, is one of the most destructive diseases in Asian rice fields. A high-quality rice variety, LT2, was used as the recipient ***21, which carries the Xa21 gene, was used as the donor parent. The resistance gene Xa21 was introduced into LT2 by marker-assisted backcrossing. Three Xoo races were used to inoculate the improved lines following the clipping method. Eleven BC_3F_3 lines carrying Xa21 were obtained based on molecular markers and agronomic performance. The 11 lines were then inoculated with the three Xoo races. All the 11 improved lines showed better resistance to BLB than the recipient parent LT2. Based on the level of resistance to BLB and their agronomic performance, five lines (BC_3F_3 5.***.5.1, BC_3F_3 5.***.5.12, BC_3F_3 8.***.6.44, BC_3F_3 9.***.4.1 and BC_3F_3 9.***.4.23) were selected as the most promising for commercial release. These improved lines could contribute to rice production in terms of food security.

Objective Sentinel lymph node in breast cancer is a predictor of the tumor's metastatic *** emerging from antitumor immune response might also target sentinel lymph node (SLN).In this study,we evaluated the cytokine profile including interleukin-8 (IL-8),interleukin-12 (IL-12),interferon-gamma (IFN-γ),and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) for the T-cell *** From January 2008 to August 2010,35 patients with breast mass underwent SLN biopsy in UNIMED Medical *** specimens were formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded for hematoxylin and eosin staining and immunohistochemistry with following markers:IL-8,IL-12,IFN-γ and TNF-α.The staining intensity was scored according to four grades:negative (-),weak expression (+),moderately positive expression (+ +),strong positive expression (+ + +).The correlation between the expression of cytokines and pathological characteristics were also analyzed using the Spearman Rank Correlation *** Out of 35 patients,SLN metastases were observed in 20 patients and among them,75% (15 /20) were strongly stained (+ + +) with IL-8 and moderately stained (+ +) with IL-12,but only 25% (5 /20) were strongly stained (+ + +) with IFN-γ and TNF-α.The expression of IL-8 was significantly associated with all tumor grades (r=0.639,P=0.00),estrogen receptor (r=0.778,P=0.01),progesterone receptor (r=0.759 P=0.00) and HER-2 /neu receptor (r=0.863 P=0.00).Conclusion The strong association between IL-8 expression and SLN metastases might highlight the prognostic significance of IL-8 in SLN.

Biotic and abiotic factors control aboveground biomass(AGB)and the structure of forest *** study analyses the variation of AGB and stand structure of evergreen broadleaved forests among six ecoregions of Vietnam.A data set of 1731-ha plots from 52 locations in undisturbed old-growth forests was *** results indicate that basal area and AGB are closely correlated with annual precipitation,but not with annual temperature,evaporation or hours of *** area and AGB are positively correlated with trees>30 cm *** areas surveyed(52.6%)in these old-growth forests had AGB of 100–200 Mg ha^-1;5.2%had AGB of 400–500 Mg ha^-1,and 0.6%had AGB of>800 Mg ha^-*** percent of the areas surveyed had stand densities of 300–600 ***^-1,and 64%had basal areas of 20–40 m^2 ha^-*** is an important factor influencing the AGB of old-growth,evergreen broadleaved forests in *** causing the loss of large-diameter trees(e.g.,>100 cm DBH)affects AGB but may not seriously affect stand density.

This paper presents a new approach using correlation and cross-correlation coefficients to evaluate the stiffness degradation of beams under moving *** theoretical study of identifying defects by vibration methods showed that the traditional methods derived from the vibration measurement data have not met the needs of the actual *** show that the correlation coefficients allow us to evaluate the degree and the effectiveness of the defects on *** the same time,the cross-correlation model is the basis for determining the relative position of *** results of this study are experimentally conducted to confirm the relationship between the correlation coefficients and the existence of the *** particular,the manuscript shows that the sensitivity of the correlation coefficients and cross-correlation is much higher than the parameters such as changes in stiffness(EJ)and natural frequency values(Δf).This study suggests using the above parameters to evaluate the stiffness degradation of beams by vibration measurement data in practice.

Objective:Recently,much attention has been paid to natural product-derived compounds for antidiabetic drug *** recent studies are being focused on clarifying the bioactivity of plants and derived *** aim of the present study was to investigate the anti-oxidant and antidiabetic activities of Clerodendrum inerme leaf extract(CILE)in streptozotocin-induced diabetic ***:*** leaves were analyzed for preliminary phytochemical properties and the content of total phenolic and flavonoid were *** vitro anti-oxidant activity was measured using DPPH ***-induced diabetic model in mice was applied for in vivo study by the effect of CILE at two dose levels(343 and 686 mg/kg b.w.).Results:The results showed that *** leaves contained the major constituents of flavonoids,alkaloids,tannins,triterpenes,and *** exhibited the total polyphenol and flavonoid content with 120.458 mg gallic acid equivalent/g dry weight and 4.494 mg hispidulin equivalent/g dry weight,*** anti-oxidant activity of CILE was expressed with IC50=25.28μg/m *** at the doses of343 mg/kg and 686 mg/kg after 7 d administration exerted a decrease in plasma glucose,protected the liver,kidneys against oxidation stress via increasing glutathione content in the liver,and reduced malondialdehyde content in the liver and *** histological analysis in diabetic mice treated with CILE also showed the pancreaticβ-cells regeneration via increasing the size and number of pancreatic ***:These findings suggested that *** leaves had potent antidiabetic and anti-oxidant *** results provide reliable scientific base,which is the premise for further research and development of CILE as supplements.
