Deep Learning-based Classification of Rotten Fruits and Identification of Shelf Life

The freshness of fruits is considered to be one of the essential characteristics for consumers in determining their quality,flavor and nutritional *** primary need for identifying rotten fruits is to ensure that only fresh and high-quality fruits are sold to *** impact of rotten fruits can foster harmful bacteria,molds and other microorganisms that can cause food poisoning and other illnesses to the *** overall purpose of the study is to classify rotten fruits,which can affect the taste,texture,and appearance of other fresh fruits,thereby reducing their shelf *** agriculture and food industries are increasingly adopting computer vision technology to detect rotten fruits and forecast their shelf ***,this research work mainly focuses on the Convolutional Neural Network’s(CNN)deep learning model,which helps in the classification of rotten *** proposed methodology involves real-time analysis of a dataset of various types of fruits,including apples,bananas,oranges,papayas and ***,machine learningmodels such as GaussianNaïve bayes(GNb)and random forest are used to predict the fruit’s shelf *** results obtained from the various pre-trained models for rotten fruit detection are analysed based on an accuracy score to determine the best *** comparison to other pre-trained models,the visual geometry group16(VGG16)obtained a higher accuracy score of 95%.Likewise,the random forest model delivers a better accuracy score of 88% when compared with GNb in forecasting the fruit’s shelf *** developing an accurate classification model,only fresh and safe fruits reach consumers,reducing the risks associated with contaminated ***,the proposed approach will have a significant impact on the food industry for efficient fruit distribution and also benefit customers to purchase fresh fruits.

The oyster mushroom(Pleurotus spp.)is one of the most widely cultivated mushroom species *** present study investigated the effect of synbiotics on the growth and quality of Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus *** synbiotics formulations were applied by spraying mushroom samples daily and measuring their growth parameters,yield,biological efficiency,proximate composition,mineral content,total phenolic content(TPC),and diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl(DPPH)radical scavenging *** demonstrated that the most significant yield of oyster mushrooms was harvested from synbiotics sprayed with inulin and Lactobacillus casei(56.92 g).Likewise,the highest biological efficiency obtained with a similar synbiotic was 12.65%.Combining inulin and *** was the most effective method of improving the mushrooms'growth performance and nutrient content in both ***,synbiotics that combined inulin and *** resulted in the highest TPC(20.550 mg gallic acid equivalent(GAE)/g dry extract(DE))in white oyster mushrooms(***).In comparison,in grey mushroom(***)the highest TPC was yielded by ***(1.098 mg GAE/g DE)followed by inulin and ***(1.079 mg GAE/g DE).The DPPH results indicated that the oyster mushroom could be an efficient *** results revealed that applying synbiotics improved the mushrooms'quality by increasing their antioxidant capacity with higher amounts of phenolic compounds and offering better health benefits with the increased levels of mineral ***,these studies demonstrated the potential of using synbiotics as a biofertilizer,which is helpful for mushroom cultivation;therefore,it might solve the challenge of inconsistent quality mushroom growers face.

铝合金热冲压是实现汽车轻量化目标的重要制造手段,生产过程中的摩擦磨损造成的板料擦伤和开裂是批量生产的主要阻碍。为了研究热冲压过程中润滑剂的适用性和润滑机理。基于此,基于销-盘摩擦实验设备,通过合理的实验设计模拟了热冲压的实验工况,选用了一种使用工况接近的水基脱模剂进行摩擦实验,并评价其在热冲压工况下的润滑性能,探究其润滑机理。通过实验发现,水基硅氧烷润滑剂能够通过隔绝模具与工件直接接触,获得较长时间的低摩擦因数状态。利用水基润滑剂实现铝合金热冲压过程中的稳定低摩擦因数状态是可行的。

Fano profile in a novel double cavity optomechanical system with harmonically bound mirrors

We investigate a double cavity optomechanical system generating single and double Fano resonance(multi-Fano). by altering a single parameter, the tunnelling rate g of the middle mirror, we are able to switch between single and double Fano line shapes. The first spectral line shape is stronger in the case of multi-Fano than in the case of single Fano. Also the behaviour of the steady state value of the displacement of the middle mirror, with respect to g, heavily influences the behaviour of double Fano lines in our scheme. This tunability along with using a single pump and signal/probe laser has an added advantage in situations where only low power consumption is available.

Classification of Glaucoma in Retinal Images Using Efficientnetb4 Deep Learning Model

Today, many eye diseases jeopardize our everyday lives, such as Diabetic Retinopathy (DR), Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), and *** is an incurable and unavoidable eye disease that damages the vision ofoptic nerves and quality of life. Classification of Glaucoma has been an active fieldof research for the past ten years. Several approaches for Glaucoma classification areestablished, beginning with conventional segmentation methods and feature-extraction to deep-learning techniques such as Convolution Neural Networks (CNN). Incontrast, CNN classifies the input images directly using tuned parameters of convolution and pooling layers by extracting features. but, the volume of training datasetsdetermines the performance of the CNN;the model trained with small datasets,overfit issues arise. CNN has therefore developed with transfer learning. The primary aim of this study is to explore the potential of EfficientNet with transfer learning for the classification of Glaucoma. The performance of the current workcompares with other models, namely VGG16, InceptionV3, and Xception usingpublic datasets such as RIM-ONEV2 & V3, ORIGA, DRISHTI-GS1, HRF, andACRIMA. The dataset has split into training, validation, and testing with the ratioof 70:15:15. The assessment of the test dataset shows that the pre-trained EfficientNetb4 has achieved the highest performance value compared to other models listedabove. The proposed method achieved 99.38% accuracy and also better results forother metrics, such as sensitivity, specificity, precision, F1_score, Kappa score, andArea Under Curve (AUC) compared to other models.

Tribological characteristics of friction stir processed graphite and tin/LM24 surface composites

Friction stir processing(FSP)is an emerging solid-state technique for preparing surface composites using various *** and metallic particles are easily reinforced in a matrix by this *** composites made from an LM24 alloy reinforced with graphite and tin,with good wettability and material flow owing to the low melting point of tin,were fabricated by FSP at two rotational speeds of 1,400 and 1,000 *** its low hardness,the graphite/LM24 surface composite fabricated at a higher rotational speed of 1,400 rpm exhibited better wear ***,its frictional behavior was not significantly affected by the *** fabricated surface composites with graphite and tin reinforcement as well as graphite-only reinforcement exhibited contradicting behaviors under sliding wear *** post wear analysis indicated that abrasion,adhesion,layer formation,and delamination occurred on the composite surfaces.
