Compressive property and energy absorption characteristic of interconnected porous Mg-Zn-Y alloys with adjusting Y addition

In this study,interconnected porous Mg-2Zn-xY alloys with different phase compositions were prepared by various Y additions(x=0.4,3,and 6 wt.%)to adjust the compressive properties and energy absorption *** characterization methods were then applied to identify the microstructure of the porous Mg-Zn-Y and describe the details of the second *** tests were performed at room temperature(RT),200℃,and 300℃to study the impact of the Y addition and testing temperature on the compressive properties of the porous *** experimental results showed that a high Y content promotes a microstructure refinement and increases the volume fraction of the second *** the Y content increases,different Mg-Zn-Y ternary phases appear:I-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(6)Y),W-phase(Mg_(3)Zn_(3)Y_(2)),and LPsO phase(Mg_(12)ZnY).When the Y content ranges between 0.4%and 6%,the compressive strength increases from 6.30MPa to 9.23 MPa,and the energy absorption capacity increases from 7.33 MJ/m^(3)to 10.97 MJ/m^(3)at RT,which is mainly attributed to the phase composition and volume fraction of the second ***,the average energy absorption efficiency is independent of the Y *** addition,the compressive deformation behaviors of the porous Mg-Zn-Y are altered by the testing *** compressive strength and energy absorption capacity of the porous Mg-Zn-Y decrease due to the softening effect of the high temperature on the *** deformation behaviors at different temperatures are finally observed to reflect the failure mechanisms of the struts.

As a versatile energy carrier,H_(2) is considered as one of the most promising sources of clean energy to tackle the current energy crisis and environmental concerns,which can be produced from photocatalytic water ***,solar-driven photocatalytic H_(2) production from pure water in the absence of sacrificial reagents remains a great ***,we demonstrate that the incorporation of Ru single atoms(sAs)into ZnIn_(2)s_(4)(Ru-ZIs)can enhance the light absorption,reduce the energy barriers for water dissociation,and construct a channel(Ru-s)for separating photogenerated electron−hole pairs,as a result of a significantly enhanced photocatalytic water splitting ***,the productivity of H_(2) reaches 735.2μmol g^(-1) h^(-1) under visible light irradiation in the absence of sacrificial *** apparent quantum efficiency(AQE)for H_(2) evolution reaches 7.5% at 420 nm,with a solarto-hydrogen(sTH)efficiency of 0.58%,which is much higher than the value of natural synthetic plants(~0.10%).Moreover,Ru-ZIs exhibits steady productivity of H_(2) even after exposure to ambient conditions for 330 *** work provides a unique strategy for constructing charge transfer channels to promote the separation of photogenerated electron−hole pairs,which may motivate the fundamental researches on catalyst design for photocatalysis and beyond.

spatial impact of digital finance on carbon productivity

Low carbon productivity has been identified as a key direction for China’s future *** an important driving force for economic growth,the question of whether digital finance that is reliant on digital technology can support the development of a low-carbon urban economy remains *** on the carbon productivity measured by panel data from 201 cities for the period 2011-2020,this study applies the spatial Dubin model and threshold regression model to explore the impact of digital finance on carbon productivity,yielding the following key ***,the spatial distribution heterogeneity of carbon productivity in China’s eastern region is higher than that in the western region,and both productivity and digital finance are characterized by high(low)-high(low)dotted spatial ***,digital finance can significantly improve carbon productivity via two transmission channels:the human capital and marketization *** the same time,digital finance exerts a spatial spillover effect on carbon productivity,and rising local digital finance levels will increase carbon productivity in neighboring *** analysis indicates that the spillover effect of digital finance in urban agglomerations and eastern regions is more ***,fixed-asset investment has a positive nonlinear moderating effect on digital finance,thus improving carbon *** the per capita investment in fixed assets does not exceed 682.73 yuan,digital finance exerts only a limit pulling effect on carbon productivity;when it is higher than this value,the pulling effect is intensified.

Precisely refining the electronic structure of electrocatalysts represents a powerful approach to further optimize the electrocatalytic ***,we demonstrate an ingenious d-d orbital hybridization concept to construct Mo-doped Co_(9)s_(8) nanorod arrays aligned on carbon cloth(CC)substrate(abbreviated as Mo-Co_(9)s_(8)@CC hereafter)as a high-efficiency bifunctional electrocatalyst toward water *** has experimentally and theoretically validated that the 4d-3d orbital coupling between Mo dopant and Co site can effectively optimize the H_(2)O activation energy and lower H^(*)adsorption energy barrier,thereby leading to enhanced hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)*** to the unique electronic and geometrical advantages,the optimized Mo-Co_(9)s_(8)@CC with appropriate Mo content exhibits outstanding bifunctional performance in alkaline solution,with the overpotentials of 75 and 234 mV for the delivery of a current density of 10 mA cm^(-2),small Tafel slopes of 53.8 and 39.9 mV dec~(-1)and long-term stabilities for at least 32 and 30 h for HER and OER,*** impressively,a water splitting electrolylzer assembled by the self-supported Mo-Co_(9)s_(8)@CC electrode requires a low cell voltage of 1.53 V at 10 mA cm^(-2)and shows excellent stability and splendid reversibility,demonstrating a huge potential for affordable and scalable electrochemical H_(2) *** innovational orbital hybridization strategy for electronic regulation herein provides an inspirable avenue for developing progressive electrocatalysts toward new energy systems.

Highly specific interactions between biomolecules,such as antigen-antibody,protein-ligand,or nucleic acid base pair complementary are on the basis of the organization of complex *** same principles may be tentatively used in molecular medicine for diagnosis and therapeutics.A molecule can be designed to selectively bind a protease and thereby inhibit the production of a peptide that forms toxic aggregates in the brain or an antibody may be produced to bind specifically to that peptide for detection or clearance ***,interference in biological systems is not that *** a start there is the inhibition of the physiological role of the protease;moreover,several cleavage fragments may be produced,which may continue to diverge due to putative post-translational modification and self-assembly processes,hiding the toxic target in a“soup”of peptide species varying in size,structure and chemical composition.A perspective of the current status and challenges in targeting peptide species for diagnosis and treatment in the context of Alzheimer’s disease is given.

Income inequality is widespread in human society and has important implications for human ***’s perception of the environment bridges income inequality and individual behavioral *** research suggests that social income inequality is usually biased,either overestimated or ***,such phenomena have not been fully explored with quantitive prove,especially in the working environment based on performance data of actual *** fact,the correct perception of people is the basis of a fair environment for their production ***,the perception bias may weaken the adaptability and competitiveness of a company in the *** paper first confirms the prevalence of individual perception bias of income inequality within the working environment based on actual production *** results show that people tend to underestimate income inequity around them,and this underestimation grows with the real unfairness of the working ***,this paper proposes a network generation-based framework with a three-layer structure to correct perception bias using a cooperative network reengineering *** the framework,a homophily-based generative network model is proposed as the key *** simulation results show that our proposed framework effectively reduces individuals’perception bias of income inequality.

Mechanism analysis of foam penetration in EPB shield tunnelling with a focus on FER and soil particle size

Parameters of foam penetration in earth pressure balance(EPB)shield tunnelling,such as permeability coefficients and penetration distances,significantly impact tunnel face ***,existing studies have faced inaccuracies in analysing these parameters due to imitations in experimental *** study addresses this issue by employing enhanced methods for a more precise analysis of foam *** involving three distinct sand types(coarse,medium,and fine)and three foam expansion ratios(FER)(10,15,and 20)are conducted using a modified model test *** from a novel computer vision-based method,the model test outcomes unveil two distinct foam penetration paths:liquid migration(L_(w))and bubble migration(L_(f)).Three penetration phases-namely,injection,blockage&drainage,and breakage—are identified based on L_(w)and L_(f)*** initial"injection"phase conforms to Darcy’s law and is amenable to mathematical *** foam with FER of 15 has the maximum viscosity and,hence the L_(f)and permeability in the penetration tests with FER of 15 are the lowest in the same *** bubble size distribution of foam with different FER shows minor ***,the characteristics of foam penetration vary due to the distinct particle size distribution(PsD)of different *** penetration creates low-permeability layers in both medium and fine sands due to the larger bubble size of the foam compared to the estimated pore sizes of medium and fine *** the coarse sand results in a different situation due to its large pore *** distinctive characteristics of foam penetration in different sand strata are notably shaped by FER,PsD,and pore size *** insights shed light on the complex interactions during foam penetration at the tunnel face,contributing valuable knowledge to EPB shield tunnelling practices.
