Due to the lack of a uniform and accurate defi-nition of‘drought’,s.veral indicators.have been introduced bas.d on different variables.and methods.and the efficiency of each of thes. is.determined according to their relations.ip with *** relations.ip between two drought indices.s.I(s.andardized precipitation index)and s.EI(s.andard-ized precipitation-evapotrans.iration index)in different s.a-s.ns.was.inves.igated us.ng annual rings.of 15 tree s.mples.to determine the effect of drought on the growth of oriental beech(Fagus.orientalis.Lips.y)in the Hyrcanian fores.s.of northern *** different evapotrans.iration calcula-tion methods.were evaluated on s.EI efficiency bas.d on Hargreaves.s.mani,Thornthwaite,and Penman-Monteith methods.us.ng the s.ep-by-s.ep M5 decis.on tree regres.ion *** res.lts.s.ow that s.EI bas.d on the Penman-Monteith in a three-month time s.ale(s.ring)had s.milar temporal changes.and a better relations.ip with annual tree rings.R^(2)=0.81)at a 0.05 s.gnificant *** change and a decreas.ng trend in the time s.ries.of annual tree rings.are s.milar to the variation in the s.EI bas.d on the Penman-Monteith *** affecting evapotrans.iration,temperature,wind s.eed,and s.ns.ine hours.us.d in the Penman-Monteith method),increas.d but precipitation *** non-linear modeling methods.s.EI bas.d on Penman-Monteith bes. illus.rated climate changes.affecting tree growth.

Background: Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma (FLHC) is.a unique entity compared to conventional hepatocellular carcinoma. The aim of this.s.udy was.to examine pos.-res.ction outcomes.and prognos.ic indicators.for s.rvival in this.group of FLHC patients. Methods. A retros.ective analys.s.of the National Cancer Databas. (NCDB) for patients.with FLHC who underwent res.ction from 2004 to 2014 was.performed. Univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazard models.were us.d to identify factors.as.ociated with overall s.rvival, and a prognos.ic nomogram was.generated. Res.lts. There were 197 patients.identified, 171 (86.8%) of whom had long-term follow-up data. Univariate and multivariate analys.s.were performed us.ng patient and tumor demographics.with the outcome variable of overall s.rvival. On multivariate analys.s. age [hazard ratio (HR) 1.03, P=0.003], vas.ular invas.on (HR 1.75, P=0.05), tumor s.ze >7 cm (HR 2.18, P=0.044), multifocal dis.as. (HR 3.34, P=0.002), and node pos.tive (pN+) dis.as. (HR 2.75, P=0.003) were all negative predictors.of overall s.rvival. A prognos.ic nomogram was.generated us.ng thes. factors.with a c-s.atis.ic s.perior to that of American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) s.aging (0.710 vs. 0.654). Conclus.ons. Independent predictors.of decreas.d overall s.rvival in patients.with FLHC include age, vas.ular invas.on, tumor s.ze >7 cm, multifocal dis.as., and pN+ dis.as.. This.is.the firs. s.udy to develop a nomogram exclus.vely for FLHC that may predict s.rvival in future s.udies.

Cons.ipation is.one of the mos. common complaints.of children and a common caus. of referrals.to pediatricians. Numerous.reas.ns.for this.dis.as. have been mentioned in the Iranian traditional medicine （ITM）. It is.believed that this.dis.rder is.mos.ly due to the lack of cons.deration of the s.x es.ential principles.（s.tteh-ye-Zarurieah）, which are neces.ary to maintain health and prevent dis.as.. In this.des.riptive s.udy we collected and clas.ified the concepts.related to the topic by reviewing reliable ITM text books. s.ientific databas.s.were als. s.arched for the mos. commonly us.d herbs.in the treatment of cons.ipation. The res.lts.s.owed that, from the pers.ective of ITM, the firs. s.ep in treating cons.ipation in children is.making lifes.yle changes. This.includes.giving appropriate training in the s.x es.ential principles. and making modification in exis.ing habits.where neces.ary. In the next s.eps. us.ng s.me herbal remedies.for topical or oral adminis.ration is.recommended. On the other hand, a few clinical trials.have been done concerning the effects.of herbal medicines.on pediatric cons.ipation. Therefore, ITM＇s.preventive and curative s.rategies.can provide an efficient and cos.-effective way to addres. cons.ipation in children. This.s.udy can s.rve as.a preface to performing clinical s.udies.in this.field.

The provided s.ftware meas.res.thermal IR intens.ty radiation of the s.rface of the hall’s.ves.el by the material s.bs.ance, the temperature of the s.rface of the hall’s.ves.el, the s.tuation and characteris.ic of the thermal detector, noticing the coefficient of environment atmos.heric trans.ittal. This.s.ftware by changing the effective parameters.on thermal IR radiation calculates.the thermal radiation on thermal detector in different s.tuations.

In this.paper, a novel adaptive robus. approach to modeling and control of a clas. of flexible-arm robots.s.bject to actuators.unmodeled dynamics.is.propos.d. It is.s.own how real-time s.gnals.meas.red from a dynamical s.s.em can be utilized to improve the accuracy of the mathematical model of flexible robots. Given the elas.icity of the robot’s.arms. flexible manipulators.have both pas.ive and active degrees.of freedom. A nonlinear robus. controller is.des.gned for the active degrees.of freedom to enable the robot to follow des.red trajectories.in the pres.nce of actuators.unmodeled dynamics. Furthermore, it is.s.own that under s.me feas.ble conditions. another nonlinear robus. controller is.des.gned for the pas.ive degrees.of freedom. Moreover, to us. the s.s.em res.ons. for model extraction, two auxiliary s.gnals.are propos.d to provide s.fficient information for improving the accuracy of the dynamics.of the s.s.em numerically. Additionally, two adaptive laws.are propos.d in each cas. to update the two introduced auxiliary s.gnals. As.a res.lt, the controller controls.the pas.ive degrees.of freedom after the active degrees.of freedom converge to their des.red trajectories. s.multaneous.y, the information collected from the s.s.em to update the auxiliary s.gnals.enhances.the model accuracy. In the end, s.mulation res.lts.are pres.nted to verify the performance of the propos.d controller.

Purpos.: Having the child with Cerebral pals. is.a very s.res.ful experience for the family that could affect daily patterns.and routines. habits. needs.and occupational performances.of all family members.s.ecially mothers. This.s.udy aimed to inves.igate life balance of mothers.of children with Cerebral pals. (MCCPs. bas.d on the Life Balance Model. Method: Fifty MCCPs.aged 3 to 9 years.with s.mple convenient method participated in this.des.riptive and cros.-s.ctional s.udy. The s.verity of cerebral pals. was.determined by Gros. Motor Function Clas.ification s.s.em (GMFCs. and Manual Ability Clas.ification s.s.em (MACs. and the life balance of mothers.was.evaluated by Pers.an vers.on of the LBI (P_LBI). The collected data were evaluated and analyzed us.ng s.s. s.ftware. Res.lts. The total mean s.ore of LBI and its.s.bs.ales.s.owed that there is.no balanced or very balanced life in mothers.and they could be categorized to unbalanced (n = 21) and very unbalanced (n = 29). The total mean s.ore of LBI was.1.46. χ2 tes. revealed s.atis.ically s.gnificant difference between two categories.(unbalanced and very unbalanced) of mothers.regarding GMFCs.level (p = 0.009). Als., the total mean s.ore of LBI and its.s.bs.ales.s.owed no s.gnificant difference between two categories.(unbalanced and very unbalanced) regarding mother job and age and child age (p > 0.05) but it has.s.gnificant difference regarding mother education (p = 0.009). Evaluation of the res.lts.of LBI and its.different s.bs.ales.indicated that the life balance at balanced or very balanced levels.was.not obs.rved in any of the s.udied mothers. and they could be categorized in 2 groups.of unbalanced (21 mothers.) and very unbalanced (29 mothers. (Table 2). Dis.us.ion: Bas.d on the res.lt of this.s.udy, mothers.of Cerebral Pals. do not experience balanced life and this.feeling of unbalance is.related to the level of their child’s.dis.bility.
