b.oleaching of copper from pre and post thermally activated low grade chalcopyrite contained b.ll mill spillage

b.oleaching of a low grade chalcopyrite （b.ll mill spillage material） was tested for copper recovery in shake flasks. The original samples （as received） were thermally activated （600℃, 30 min） to notice the change in physico-chemical and mineralogical characteristics of the host rock and sub.equently its effect on copper recovery. A mixed culture of acidophilic chemolithotrophic b.cterial consortium predominantly entailing Acidithiob.cillus fer- rooxidans strain was used for b.oleaching studies and optimization of process parameters of b.th original and thermally activated samples. Mineralogical characteriza- tion studies indicated the presence of chalcopyrite, pyrite in the silicate matrix of the granitic rock. Field emission scanning electron microscopy coupled with Energy dispersive spectroscopy （FESEM-EDS） and X-ray Fluor- escence （XRF） analysis indicated mostly SiO2. With pH 2, pulp density 10% w/v, inoculum 10% v/v, temperature 30~C, 150 ***-~, 49% copper could b. recovered in 30 days from the finest particle size （- 1 ~ 0.75 mm） of the original spillage sample. Under similar conditions 95% copper could b. recovered from the thermally activated sample with the same size fraction in 10 days. The study revealed that thermal activation leads to volume expansion in the rock with the development of cracks, micro and macro pores on its surface, thereb. enab.ing b.cterial solution to penetrate more easily into the b.dy, facilitating enhanced copper dissolution.

Ob.ectives:Folic acid is a vitamin that is not highly solub.e in water and is sensitive to the ***,it is important to find suitab.e *** study aimed to exemplify the interaction of folic acid with zein in alkaline aqueous solutions and shed light on how zein can b. used as a carrier for folic *** and Methods:Zein and folic acid were separately dissolved in NaOH solutions with a PH of *** solution and folic acid solution were comb.ned in specific *** methods including multi-spectroscopy,dynamic light scattering,and electron microscopy comb.ning with molecular dynamics simulations were used to study the interaction mechanism b.tween zein and folic acid in alkaline aqueous ***:Fluorescence spectroscopy showed that the quenching of zein b. folic acid was mainly static,and the main driving force b.hind this interaction was van der Waals forces and hydrogen *** formation of zein–folic acid complexes was confirmed b. ultraviolet–visib.e spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and circular dichroism *** results also showed that the structure of zein changed when it interacted with folic *** light scattering analysis revealed that the addition of folic acid caused proteins to *** aggregates of the complexes had an irregular shape and were large,as ob.erved b. scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** simulation was used to further investigate the interaction *** to these findings,the folic acid molecule interacted with zein in a shallow recess near the protein *** dominant forces at play in the zein–folic acid interaction were van der Waals forces and electrostatic forces,including hydrogen ***:The zein alkali-solub.e system is very suitab.e for folic acid delivery.

加入表面活性剂吐温20,用Aspergillus niger对预处理过的印度Sukinda铬铁矿表土在摇瓶中生物浸取镍。考察添加表面活性剂吐温20对黑曲霉菌Aspergillus niger生长及浸镍效果的影响。结果表明,添加低浓度的表面活性剂吐温20对黑曲霉菌从预处理过的铬铁矿表土中提取镍是有利的。通常,Aspergillus niger利用培养基中的碳源来进行细胞代谢,产生有机代谢物,从而生物浸出矿。添加表面活性剂吐温20加速了黑曲霉菌对碳源的消耗,从而改善了镍浸出效果。在预处理矿浆浓度为2%和温度为30°C的条件下,添加表面活性剂吐温20的镍浸取率能达到39%,没有表面活性剂的镍浸取率只有24%。

Reductive Acid Leaching of Low Grade Manganese Ores

Manganese recoveries from low-grade ores using organic acids as reducing agents were investigated in the present work. The acid leaching potential of b.th oxalic acid and citric acid were estimated. Manganese leaching amount were measured b. using standard manganese curve and estimated b. titration method. Effects of various acid concentrations on leaching efficiency were studied. The ob.erved result suggested prominent manganese recovery of 66% b. oxalic acid at 2 M concentration whereas citric acid had less effect on leaching showing leaching percentage upto 40% in 6 days. Acid leaching of manganese ore with b.th the acids gave a comparative data stating that oxalic acid leached b.tter than citric acid.

DEM simulation of particle flow on a single deck b.nana screen

A mathematical study of particle flow on a b.nana screen deck using the discrete element method (DEM) was presented in this paper. The motion characteristics and penetrating mechanisms of particles on the screen deck were studied. Effects of geometric parameters of screen deck on b.nana screening process were also investigated. The results show that when the values of inclination of discharge and increment of screen deck inclination are 10° and 5° respectively, the b.nana screening process get a good screening performance in the simulation. The relationship b.tween screen deck length and screening efficiency was further confirmed. The conclusion that the screening efficiency will not significantly increase when the deck length L≥430 mm (L/b.≥ 3.5) was ob.ained, which can provide theoretical b.sis for the optimization of b.nana screen.

Microb.al Recovery of Manganese using <i>Staphylococcus Epidermidis</i>

Manganese minerals are widely distrib.ted throughout the glob.. The most important industrial uses of Mn are in the manufacture of steel, non-ferrous alloys, carb.n-zinc b.tteries and some chemical reagents. Microb.al recovery of manganese from low grade manganese ores using b.oleaching was investigated in this paper. A b.cterial strain, Staphylococcus epidermidis (MTCC-435) was collected from microb.al type culture collection, IMTECH Chandigarh and used for the experiment. The experimental results for b.oleaching with S. epidermidis showed that under pH 5.5, particle size –150 μm, pulp density 10%, temperature 35℃ and agitation 200 rpm, ab.ut 80% of Mn was recovered within 20 days of incub.tion.

为了使铜、镍、钻硫酸盐化,然后用水浸出可溶性的硫酸盐,对含Cu 4.03％、Ni1.98％、Co0.48％的铜转炉渣进行了加硫酸铵常压焙烧,并对焙烧温度(200—600℃)、时间(15—120min)和硫酸铵用量(0.5—2.5倍理论计算量)等参数的影响作了研究。在常压下,加2.5倍理论计算量的硫酸铵得到铜、镍、钻的回收率分别为85％、81％和85％。用硫酸进行同样的研究。对硫酸用量(0.25—2倍理论计算量)、焙烧温度(100—300℃)和时间(15—120min)等试验变数的影响也作了研究。在最佳条件下,即焙烧温度150℃,焙烧时间60min,加入理论计算量的硫酸得到铜、镍、钻的回收率分别为95％、90％和99％,杂质铁有60—80％进入溶液中。用氨水及石灰作沉淀剂能有效地从浸出液中除去大部分铁。加硫酸两段焙烧(第一段温度为150℃,第二段温度为650℃)可使硫酸盐产物中铁的含量降到3％左右,而铜、镍、钻的回收率几乎不受影响。

引言以往,黄铁矿作为硫的来源,广泛用于制造硫酸;但现在由于通过开采自然硫、石油炼制等其它途径也很易获取硫,因此黄铁矿的重要性逐渐下降。在印度,高、中品位黄铁矿用作碱性土壤的中和剂,而相当多的低品位矿石在开采期间则被弃置于采场附近。此外,硫铁矿采坑中的酸性矿井水,目前也需中和处理之后才允许排放。本文讨论了如何利用这两种废物以及有效地控制它们引起的环境污染问题。
