Surfa.e a.d subsurfa.e oil sha.e (OS) rocks in Jorda. ha.e potentia. economic va.ue for the country a.d still unutilized. This resea.ch pa.er focuses on centra. a.d southern OS deposits in Jorda.. Brief cha.a.teriza.ion of four OS deposits is presented. Size distribution test a.d elementa. a.a.ysis were performed. Sha.e oil wa. extra.ted via.three solva.ion methods: Soxhlet extra.tion, extra.tion via.mixing a.d stirring, a.d la.tly super-critica. fluid extra.tion. Ma.or sha.e oil fra.tions were obta.ned from extra.t fra.tiona.ion on chroma.ogra.hic column. The nuclea. ma.netic resona.ce spectroscopy technique wa. used to study qua.ita.ively the fra.tiona. composition of OS extra.t. Results show tha. a.l studied OS deposits ha.e quite simila. trend in their pa.ticle size distribution a.d their elementa. composition. These OS deposits a.e found to be va.ying in their solva.ion beha.ior, fra.tiona. yield, a.d sha.e oil composition. Highest yield is obta.ned from pola. solvents. The OS extra.tion via.solva.ion processes is promising under certa.n extra.tion conditions such a. super-critica. conditions. The solva.ion va.ia.ility of Jorda.ia. OS indica.es tha. different extra.tion techniques suit different OS deposits. Such va.ia.ility should be considered in a.y future extra.tion options.

METHODS: Fema.e ra.s were fed a.sta.da.d diet a.d received a.single intra.eritonea. injection of 600 mg/kg sodium va.proa.e on da. 12.5 a.ter conception. In study 1, neona.a. ra.s were ra.domly subjected to blood tests to investiga.e a.tism. In study 2, the 1st group wa. fed by the mother a.ter a. injection of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) a.d a.ministra.ion of glia.in. The pups in the 2nd group were prevented from a.cessing ma.erna. milk, injected IFN-γ, a.ministered glia.in, a.d ha.d-fed huma. colostrum. The norma. litterma.es fed by the ta.le mothers were injected with physiologica. sa.ine a.d served a. norma. controls in this ***: The protein concentra.ion wa. higher in group 2 tha. in group 1 in the duodenum (161.6 ± 9 a.d 135.4 ± 7 mg/g of tissue, respectively, P a.significa.t increa.e (P a. detected in huma. colostrum-trea.ed pups on post na.a. da. (PND) 7 a.d 21 vs suckling pups in group 1. a.dela. in eye opening wa. noticed in the trea.ed ra.s in group 1 on PND 13 compa.ed with the control group a.d group 2. a.ministra.ion of a.single intra.eritonea. injection of 600 mg/kg sodium va.proa.e on da. 12.5 a.ter conception resulted in significa.tly reduced ca.cium a.d vita.in D levels in study 1 compa.ed with the control groups (P a. colostrum upta.e inhibited increa.es in the level of tra.sgluta.ina.e a.tibody in a.tistic pups with coelia. disea.e. CONCLUSION: The effects of ea.ly-life nutrition a.d huma. colostrum on the functiona. ma.ura.ion of the duodena. villi in a.tistic ra.s with coelia. disea.e tha. might limit or prevent the coelia. risk with a.tism.
