Preparation of Fe-As alloys by mechanical alloying and vacuum hot-pressed sintering:microstructure evolution,mechanical properties,and mechanisms

Arsenic materials have attracted great attention due to their unique ***,research concerning iron-arsenic(Fe-As) alloys is very scarce due to the volatility of As at low temperature and the high melting point of ***,a new Fe-As alloy was obtained by mechanical alloying(MA) followed by vacuum hot-pressed sintering(VHPS).Moreover,a systematic study was carried out on the microstructural evolution,phase composition,leaching toxicity of As,and physical and mechanical properties of Fe-As alloys with varying weight fractions of As(20%,25%,30%,35%,45%,55%,65%,and 75%).The results showed that pre-alloyed metallic powders(PAMPs) have a fine grain size and specific supersaturated solid solution after MA,which could effectively improve the mechanical properties of Fe-As alloys by VHPS.A high density(> 7.350 g·cm^(-3)),low toxicity,and excellent mechanical properties could be obtained for FeAs alloys sintered via VHPS by adding an appropriate amount of As,which is more valuable than commercial Fe-As *** Fe-25% As alloy with low toxicity and a relatively high density(7.635 g·cm^(-3)) provides an ultra-high compressive strength(1989.19 MPa),while the Fe-65% As alloy owns the maximum Vickers hardness(HVo.5 899.41).After leaching by the toxicity characteristic leaching procedure(TCLP),these alloys could still maintain good mechanical performance,and the strengthening mechanisms of Fe-As alloys before and after leaching were *** in the grain size,micro structure,and phase distribution induced significant differences in the compressive strength and hardness.

Feasibility analysis for acquiring visibility based on lidar signal using genetic algorithm-optimized back propagation algorithm

Visibility is an important atmospheric parameter that is gaining increasing global attention. This study introduces a back-propagation neural network method based on genetic algorithm optimization to obtain visibility directly using light detection and ranging(lidar) signals instead of acquiring extinction coefficient. We have validated the performance of the novel method by comparing it with the traditional inversion method, the back-propagation(BP) neural network method,and the Belfort, which is used as a standard value. The mean square error(MSE) and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE) values of the genetic algorithm-optimized back propagation(GABP) method are located in the range of 0.002 km2–0.005 km^2 and 1%–3%, respectively. However, the MSE and MAPE values of the traditional inversion method and the BP method are significantly higher than those of the GABP method. Our results indicate that the proposed algorithm achieves better performance and can be used as a valuable new approach for visibility estimation.

There are intense interests in discovering pro regenerative medicine leads that can promote cardiac differentiation and regeneration,as well as repair damaged heart *** have combined zebrafish embryo-based screens with cardiomyogenesis assays to discover selective small molecules that modulate heart development and regeneration with minimal adverse *** related compounds with novel structures,named as Cardiomogen 1 and 2(CDMG1 and CDMG2),were identified for their capacity to promote myocardial hyperplasia through expansion of the cardiac progenitor cell *** find that Cardiomogen acts as a Wnt inhibitor by targeting p-catenin and reducing Tcf/Lef-mediated transcription in cultured *** treatment of amputated zebrafish hearts reduces nuclear p-catenin in injured heart tissue,increases cardiomyocyte(CM)proliferation,and expedites wound healing,thus accelerating cardiac muscle ***,Cardiomogen can alleviate the functional deterioration of mammalian hearts after myocardial *** hearts exposed to CDMG1 display increased newly formed CMs and reduced fibrotic scar tissue,which are in part attributable to the^-catenin *** findings indicate Cardiomogen as a Wnt inhibitor in enhancing injury-induced CM proliferation and heart regeneration,highlighting the values of embryo-based small molecule screens in discovery of effective and safe medicine leads.

The Moon-based Ultraviolet Telescope （MUVT） is one of the payloads on the Chang＇e-3 （CE-3） lunar lander. Because of the advantages of having no at- mospheric disturbances and the slow rotation of the Moon, we can make long-term continuous observations of a series of important celestial objects in the near ultra- violet band （245-340 nm）, and perform a sky survey of selected areas, which can- not be completed on Earth. We can find characteristic changes in celestial brightness with time by analyzing image data from the MUVT, and deduce the radiation mech- anism and physical properties of these celestial objects after comparing with a phys- ical model. In order to explain the scientific purposes of MUVT, this article analyzes the preprocessing of MUVT image data and makes a preliminary evaluation of data quality. The results demonstrate that the methods used for data collection and prepro- cessing are effective, and the Level 2A and 2B image data satisfy the requirements of follow-up scientific researches.

Transcriptomics reveals the effect of ammonia nitrogen concentration on Pseudomonas stutzeri F2 assimilation and the analysis of amtB function

The biological treatment of wastewater with high concentrations of ammonia nitrogen has become a hot research issue,but there are limited reports on the mechanism of ammonia nitrogen utilization by *** this paper,a transcriptomic approach was used to investigate the differences in gene expression at 500.0 mg/L(Amo 500)and 100.0 mg/L(Amo 100)ammonium concentrations to reveal the mechanism of ammonia nitrogen removal from water by Pseudomonas stutzeri *** transcriptome data showed 1015(459 up-regulated and 556 down-regulated)differentially expressed genes with functional gene annotation related to nitrogen source metabolism,glycolysis,tricarboxylic acid cycle,extracellular polysaccharide synthesis,energy conversion and transmembrane transport,revealing the metabolic process of ammonium nitrogen conversion to biological ni-trogen in *** F2 through *** verify the effect of ammonium transporter protein(AmtB)of cell membrane on assimilation,a *** F2-ΔamtB mutant strain was obtained by constructing a knockout plasmid(pK18mobsacB-ΔamtB),and it was found that the growth characteristics and ammonium removal rate of the mutant strain were significantly reduced at high ammonium *** carbon source components and dissolved oxygen conditions were optimized after analyzing the transcriptome data,and the ammonium removal rate was increased from 41.23%to 94.92%with 500.0 mg/L ammonium *** study of *** F2 transcript level reveals the mechanism of ammonia nitrogen influence on microbial assimilation process and improvement strategy,which provides a new strategy for the treatment of ammonia nitrogen wastewater.

Clustering-Inverse: A Generalized Model for Pattern-Based Time Series Segmentation

Patterned-based time series segmentation (PTSS) is an important task for many time series data mining applications. In this paper, according to the characteristics of PTSS, a generalized model is proposed for PTSS. First, a new inter-pretation for PTSS is given by comparing this problem with the prototype-based clustering (PC). Then, a novel model, called clustering-inverse model (CI-model), is presented. Finally, two algorithms are presented to implement this model. Our experimental results on artificial and real-world time series demonstrate that the proposed algorithms are quite effective.
