The incidence and prevalence of metabolic syndrome(MS) and colorectal cancer(CRC) has been rising in developed countries. The association between these two diseases has been widely studied and reported. Less evidence is available about the relationship between MS and CRC precancerous lesions(adenomatous polyps, adenomas). The aim of this paper is to present an overview of our scientific understanding of that topic and its implication in clinical practice. One of the principal goals of current CRC secondary prevention efforts is to detect and remove the precancerous lesions in individuals with an average CRC risk to prevent the development of invasive cancer. MS is not currently considered a high-risk CRC factor and is therefore not included in the guidelines of organized screening programs. However, in light of growing scientific evidence, the approach to patients with MS should be changed. Metabolic risk factors for the development of adenomas and cancers are the same- obesity, impaired glucose tolerance, dyslipidemia, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus type 2. Therefore, the key issue in the near future is the development of a simple scoring system, easy to use in clinical practice, which would identify individuals with high metabolic risk of colorectal neoplasia and would be used for individual CRC secondary prevention strategies. Currently, such scoring systems have been published based on Asian(Asia-Pacific Colorectal Screening Score; APCS) and Polish populations.

目的分析美国老年痴呆症患者放弃维持生命治疗的决策。方法对美国某老年痴呆症专科护理中心(BDSC)的10个病例作纵向性研究,分析北美文化及医疗照护文化对放弃维持生命治疗决策的影响。结果BDSC有2个放弃维持生命治疗决策的模式(1)尊重患者意愿,预立遗嘱放弃维持生命治疗;(2)考虑患者的生存质量,预立遗嘱放弃维持生命治疗。放弃管饲及放弃抗生素治疗的考虑不同,前者基于共识的信念,后者是对生存质量的考虑。结论BDSC所倡议的照护模式得以实践,显示对传统医护价值有三方面的转变。一是当老年痴呆症到了晚期,接受患者已步入死亡的事实;二是将传统医护焦点从拯救生命转变至重视生存质量;三是专注临终关怀,并竭尽所能,让患者在生命最后的一段日子得到最好的照顾。

The seasonal heat storage tank is the most important component of the SDH （solar district heating） system, which allows significant increase in the share of solar energy in heat supply in comparison with conventional solar systems with short-term accumulation of heat. The adverse impact of their investment sophistication on competitiveness may be compensated by the increased use. For example： Cooperation with heat pump allows to increase the accumulation capacity of the seasonal heat storage tank and causes the direct use of heating energy and accumulation of cooling energy produced by heat pump. In the final stage of the heating period, it can be used to remote cooling supplied buildings. Experimentation on mathematical model is possible to obtain valuable insights about the dynamics of the processes of charging and discharging in the seasonal storage tank and subsequently used in the design, implementation and operation.

Net blotch disease caused by the fungus Pyrenophora teres belongs to the complex of leaf blotch diseases that decrease the yield and the quality of barley （Hordeum vulgate L.）. This study deals with the use of microsatellites localized nearby the quantitative trait loci, associated with the resistance to P. teres to screen barley lines and varieties that could be introduced into a net blotch resistance breeding program. Thirty-five barley microsatellite loci and 65 barley genotypes, 265 alleles were detected. The number of alleles per locus ranged from 2 to 26. The arrangement of genotypes into clusters based on microsatellite data does not correspond to their resistance level to P. teres even though chosen microsatellite markers have been localized nearby QTLs associated with the resistance to P. teres.
