The Hessian fly(HF,Mayetiola destructor)is one of the destructive pests of wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)*** cultivars can effectively minimize wheat damage due to this insect *** identify new quantitative trait loci(QTL)for HF resistance,a population of recombinant inbred lines(RILs)was developed from a cross between the HF-resistant wheat cultivar‘Chokwang’and susceptible wheat‘Ning 7840’,and phenotyped for responses to HF attack.A linkage map was constructed using 1147 single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers generated from genotyping-by-sequencing(GBS).One major QTL,***-6 BS,for HF-resistance was identified on chromosome arm 6 BS,which explained up to84.0%of the phenotypic variation and was contributed by *** RILs showed recombination in the candidate interval of ***-6 BS,which delimited ***-6 BS to a 4.75 Mb physical interval between 6,028,601 bp and 10,779,424 bp on chromosome arm 6 BS of IWGSC Chinese Spring reference genome Ref Seq *** GBS-SNPs in the candidate interval were converted into Kompetitive allele specific polymerase chain reaction(KASP)*** of them,KASP-6 B112698 and KASP-6 B7901215,were validated in a *** wheat ***-6 B112698 was nearly diagnostic,thus can be used to screen ***-6 BS and pyramid it with other resistance genes in breeding programs.

Effect of Alkali Stress on Soluble Sugar, Antioxidant Enzymes and Yield of Oat

Alkali stress can cause severe crop damage and reduce production. However, physiological processes involved in alkali stress in oat seedlings are not well understood. In this study, physiological responses and yield of oat to alkali stress were studied using the alkali-tolerant oat genotype Vao-9 and the alkali-sensitive oat genotype baiyan 5. The results were：（i） low concentrations of alkali stress （25 and 50 mmol L^-1） significantly reduced the yield and grain weight while increased the oat grain number per spike. A negative correlation between yield and malondialdehyde （MDA） content at the jointing and grain filling stages and positive correlations between yield on one hand and superoxide dismutase （SOD）, and peroxidase （POD） activities on the other at the jointing stage were observed. There was a positive correlation between MDA and soluble sugar at the grain filling stage; （ii） soluble sugar content was increased at the jointing and grain filling stages and decreased at the heading stage by alkali stress; （iii） alkali stress increased the SOD activity during the heading and grain filling stages, and increased the POD activity at the heading stage. As compared to the control, the increase of MDA contents in alkali-treated oat was observed, during the jointing, heading and grain filling stages; （iv） under alkali stress, the oat genotype Vao-9 showed higher antioxidant enzyme activity and lower soluble sugar contents during the heading stage, and lower MDA contents than those in the oat genotype baiyan 5 under alkali stress. The result suggested that the high ROS scavenging capacity and soluble sugar levels might play roles in oat response to alkali stress,

Solvothermal Synthesis and Characterization of Sheet Structure Containing Adamantane [Hg_2Sn_2S_(10)]^(8-) Anions

Sheet Rb2HgSnS4 was synthesized solvothermally and characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The compound is comprised of sheets with admantane-like [Hg2Sn2S10]8– units. The crystals belong to the space group C2/c, with the unit cell parameters a=1.1063（2） nm, b=1.1071（2） nm, c=1.5741（3） nm, a=90o, β=100.13（3）o, γ=90o. A reflectance spectroscopy study reveals the nature of the semiconductor with an energy of 2.1 eV for the compound.

Electric Anisotropy and Two－dimensional Energy Band of Undoped and Heavily Doped Polyacetylene

ased on the known crystal data , we used the EHMACC(EHMO/CO) methodto calculate the twotlimensional energy band of both undoped and heavily iodine-doped polyacetylene (PA). The results show that (1 ) I-doping obviously reducesthe niagnitudes of Eg , Egi; (2) in the conducting process along the direction per-pendicular to PA chain , the P-type AO of iodine plays a very important role, i- e. ,the conducting bridge to transport the charge between the two neighbor PA chains.I-doping reniarkably increases σ_T value while the conducting process will reduce theratio magnitude of σ/σ. Therefore, heavily I-doping makes PA change fromsimeconductor to conductor which obviously has 2-D conductive ability.

Stereoselective Ring-opening Polymerization of rac-lactide by Bulky Chiral and Achiral N-heterocyclic Carbenes

Despite the extraordinary success has been achieved in metal catalyst-promoted stereoselective ring-opening polymerization（ROP） of rac-lactide（rac-la）, well-controlled stereoselective rac-la ROP by organic catalyst still remains a scientific challenge. Here we report our investigations into organocatalytic stereoselective ROP of rac-la by utilizing novel bulky chiral and achiral N-heterocyclic carbenes（NHC）, 1,3-bis-（1′-naphthylethyl）imidazolin-2-ylidene. The effect of polymerization conditions（e.g. solvent, temperature, alcohol initiator） on ROP behavior by these bulky NHCs has been fully studied, leading to the formation of isotactic-rich stereoblock polylactide（Pi = 0.81） under optimized conditions with high activity（Conv. = 98% in 30 min） and narrow molecular weight dispersity（D = 1.05）.

Deformation, Phase Transformation and Recrystallization in the Shear Bands Induced by High-Strain Rate Loading in Titanium and Its Alloys

α-titanium and its alloys with a dual-phase structure （α＋β） were deformed dynamically under strain rate of about 10^4 s^-1. The formation and microstructural evolution of the localized shear bands were characterized by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. The results reveal that both the strain and strain rate should be considered simultaneously as the mechanical conditions for shear band formation, and twinning is an important mode of deformation. Both experimental and calculation show that the materials within the bands underwent a superhigh strain rate （9×10^5 S^-1） deformation, which is two magnitudes of that of average strain rate required for shear band formation; the dislocations in the bands can be constricted and developed into cell structures; the phase transformation from α to α2 within the bands was observed, and the transformation products （α2） had a certain crystallographic orientation relationship with their parent; the equiaxed grains with an average size of 10 μm in diameter observed within the bands are proposed to be the results of recrystallization.

Effects of land Use on Heavy Metal Accumulation in Soils and Sources Analysis

Heavy metal accumulation and its influential factors were studied in the different land use soils, which would provide a theoretical basis for controlling the content of heavy metals in soils. To identify the effects of land use on the accumulation of heavy metals in soils, 148 soil samples were collected from four land use patterns including greenhouse field, uncovered vegetable field, maize field, and forest field in Siping area of Jilin Province, China, and Cr, Ni, Cu, As, Cd, Pb, and Zn contents of those samples were determined with ICP and ICP-Mass. The result showed that there was a rather large difference in effects of the accumulation of Cr, Ni, Cu, As, Cd, and Zn in soils under different land use patterns, except Pb. Based on the assessment which compared with background concentrations in soil, the higher accumulation of heavy metals was found in greenhouse and uncovered vegetable field, much less in maize field and forest field. The mean contents of heavy metals in soils from high to low were arranged in order of greenhouse field, uncovered vegetable field, maize field, and forest field. Cd and Cu had relatively serious accumulation in soils compared to Cr, Ni, As, and Zn. The mean content of Cd in greenhouse field was 0.467 mg kg-x,which exceeded the grade II of the Chinese Soil Quality Criterion GB15618-1995 （6.5 〈pH〈7.5） for Cd standard of 0.3 mg kg^-1, while it was 5.2 times of Cd standard in the forest fields. The mean contents ofCr, Ni, Cu, As, Pb, and Zn in soils under four land use patterns were lower than the grade II of the Chinese Soil Quality Criterion. Compared with the soil cultivated years, the agricultural chemical compounds and manures application, especially the quality and quantity of applied fertilizer was one of the main reasons for leading to different accumulation of heavy metals in soils under the studied land use patterns. Perovskite laFeO_3 supported bi-metal catalyst for syngas methanation

laFeO3 perovskite supported Ni and Ni-Fe catalysts were prepared and applied to methanation reaction of syngas. Two preparation methods were employed. One was one-step citrate complexing method, and the other was a two step method using citrate complexing method to produce laFeO3 and followed by loading nickel oxide on it with impregnation. The structure evolution of the sample as prepared was investigated by XRD, TPR and TEM techniques. For the former, the chemical composites of the calcined sample are NiO-Fe2O3/laFe1-xNixO3. After reduction and reaction of CO methanation, its composites convert to Fe-Ni@Ni/laFeO3-la2O2CO3, in which Fe-Ni@Ni is metal particles in nano-size composed of nickel core and Fe-Ni alloy shell. For the latter, the chemical composites of the calcined sample are NiO/laFeO3; and after reduction and reaction of CO methanation, its chemical composites change to Ni/laFeO3. Ni/laFeO3 catalyst is a little more active, while Fe-Ni@Ni/laFeO3-la2O2CO3 is much more stable and shows very good resistance to carbon deposition. In this work it is aimed to show that the structure and composites of the catalysts can be tailored using perovskite-type oxide as precursor with different preparing method or preparing condition. Therefore, it is a promising route to prepare supported bi-metal catalysts in nano-size for a lot of metals with desired catalytic performances.

Enhancing interfacial stability in solid-state lithium batteries with polymer/garnet solid electrolyte and composite cathode framework

The solid-state lithium battery is considered as an ideal next-generation energy storage device owing to its high safety,high energy density and low ***,the poor ionic conductivity of solid electrolyte and low interfacial stability has hindered the application of solid-state lithium ***,a flexible polymer/garnet solid electrolyte is prepared with poly(ethylene oxide),poly(vinylidene fluoride),Li6.75la3 Zr1.75Ta0.25O12,lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide and oxalate,which exhibits an ionic conductivity of 2.0 ×10^(-4) S cm^(-1) at 55℃,improved mechanical property,wide electrochemical window(4.8 V ***/Li+),enhanced thermal *** acidic OX was introduced to inhibit the alkalinity reactions between Li6.75la3 Zr1.75Ta0.25O12 and poly(vinylidene fluoride).In order to improve the interfacial stability between cathode and electrolyte,an Al2 O3@LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2 based composite cathode framework is also fabricated with poly(ethylene oxide) polymer and lithium salt as *** solid-state lithium battery assembled with polymer/garnet solid electrolyte and composite cathode framework demonstrates a high initial discharge capacity of 150.6 mAh g^(-1) and good capacity retention of 86.7% after 80 cycles at 0.2 C and 55℃,which provides a promising choice for achieving the stable electrode/electrolyte interfacial contact in solid-state lithium batteries.
