Investigates the asymptotic stability of numerical solution of linear delay differential equations(DDEs) of the form y′(t)=Ly(t)+My(t-τ), t>0, y(t)=(t), -τ≤t≤0, where τ>0, L, M∈ C n×n  and ∈ (,C n), which is formulated using the semigroup instead of classical step by step methods for numerical solution of this equation, as an abstract Cauchy problems and then discretized in a systems of ordinary differential equations(ODEs), and examines the asymptotic stability properties with respect to the class of DDEs with the complex coefficients which preserve the stability properties for a fixed delay.

The purpose of this paper is to understand the valorization of gold showings in the Seribaya deposit, western Mali. Samples taken from Air Core (AC) boreholes were subjected respectively to the magnetic susceptibility test and the X-ray fluorescence analysis. These results lead to the development of a simple methodology, based on signatures/indicators geochemical to identify lithology or to locate mineralization. We note that, compared to other chemical elements, Arsenic remains the most correlated with gold in the study area. Since this correlation remains weak (r = 0.16), it shows that Arsenic does not always accompany gold. There would be a generation of Arsenic related to mineralization, and other generations that would not be. The observation of the strip logs led to the identification of the lithologies (focusing on the immobile elements, Ti, V, Cr, y, Zr) and the establishment of the alteration profile. Highly altered levels (Saprolite ± Saprock) are characterized by the disappearance of most mobile elements. A medium to strong correlation between gold mineralization and magnetic susceptibility measurements has been observed, in some places, and at depths. These mineralized intervals typically consist of quartz veins, suggesting that they have structural control over the mineralization. Gold mineralization is believed to be related to quartz veins. In addition, gold would be in paragenesis with a generation of Arsenic hosted in coarse sediments.

The aim of this paper is to study the asymptotic stability properties of Runge Kutta(R-K) methods for neutral differential equations(nDDEs) when they are applied to the linear test equation of the form: y′(t)=ay(t)+by(t-τ)+cy’(t-τ), t>0, y(t)=g(t), -τ≤t≤0, with a,b,c∈[FK(W+3mm\.3mm][TPP129A,+3mm?3mm,BP], τ>0 and g(t) is a continuous real value function. In this paper we are concerned with the dependence of stability region on a fixed but arbitrary delay τ. In fact, it is one of the *** open problems to investigate the delay dependent stability analysis for nDDEs. The results that the 2,3 stages non natural R-K methods are unstable as Radau IA and Lobatto IIIC are proved. And the s stages Radau IIA methods are unstable, however all Gauss methods are compatible.

An Unusual and Fatal Case of Perthes’ Syndrome

Perthes syndrome includes cervical and facial cyanosis, subconjunctival haemorrhage, petechial haemorrhages on the face, neck, and upper chest, secondary to chest compression. We report a clinical case of Perthes’ syndrome in 3-year-old boy victims of chest crush by a tractor. Clinical examination found: a Glasgow score at 13/15, polypnea, tachycardia, hypotension;wound of the occipital scalp, a low abundance of hematuria, deformation of the left lower limb. Body scan: bilateral pneumothorax and pulmonary contusions, left hemothorax;lacerations at the medial and upper renal pole grade IV, a low abundance of retroperitoneal hematoma, fracture of the left femur. Biological assessment showed major metabolic disturbances with severe acute rhabdomyolysis and multi-visceral failure. Without clinical improvement, the patient died after 36 hours of intensive care.

Epidemiological and Clinical Profile of Breast Cancer at Bamako Radiotherapy Center

Breast cancer is a major public health problem because of its incidence and mortality. Purpose: To establish the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of breast cancer seen at the radiotherapy center at the Mali Hospital of Bamako. Patients and methods: It was a retrospective, descriptive study of data from patients seen for breast cancer at the Center of Radiotherapy of Mali Hospital between April 2014 and December 2016. The parameters studied were: age, sex, family history of breast cancer, menopausal status, parity, breast tumor location, histological type, histological grade, cancer classification stage. Results: 134 cases of breast cancer were collected, with a frequency of 15%. The sex ratio (H/F) of 0.007. The patient’s mean age was 47 ± 11 years old. The most represented age groups were 33 - 47 years old with 45.5% and 48 - 62 years old with 39%. Three percent (3%) of patients had a family history of breast cancer. Fifty (50%) of the patients were menopausal. The main clinical signs found were : mammary nodules (98%), mastodynia (65%), nodes (67%). Invasive ductal carcinomas were found in 94% of patients, followed by infiltrating lobular carcinomas with 3.7% and metaplastic carcinomas with 1.7%. SBR Grades II and III were mostly found with 37% and 23%. The average tumor size was 87 mm ± 43. Stage III was predominantly represented with 72%, followed by Stage II with 24% and Stages I and IV with 2% each. Conclusion: Breast cancer is common and reaches both before and after 50 years;the diagnosis is usually late;hence it is the importance of raising awareness and screening before the age of 50 and popularizing some complementary tests to better understand the prognosis of this disease and promote more targeted and conservative treatments that will improve survival.

Lifestyle Changes for Abdominal Obesity Prevention and Encouraging Fruit Consumption May Be Beneficial in Preventing Left Ventricular Hypertrophy in Sub-Saharan African and Maghreb

There is a growing body of evidence showing a close correlation between left ventricular mass with cardiovascular morbidity and overall mortality. Therefore, identifying the determinants of left ventricular hypertrophy can be of great importance for cardiovascular prevention, for prognosis and therapeutic intervention. Objective: To assess the prevalence and identify the independent determinants of echocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy in The MA-Ghreb and Sub-Saharan Africa Left-Ventricul ArGEometry Study (MAG-SALVAGES) participants. Methods: The MAG-SALVAGES is a community based study in which 100 asymptomatic Black Sub-Saharan African (BSSA) and 189 white skin Maghreb within the age of 18 to 55 years underwent a resting echocardiography. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was utilized to identify the independent determinants of LVH left ventricular hypertrophy. Results: Men represented the majority of the enrolled participants: 173 (59.9%). Echocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy was seen in 10 (3.5%) participants. Age ≥40 years, female gender, overall obesity, abdominal obesity, hypertension status and less fruit consumption were significantly associated with echocardiography left ventricular hypertrophy. After adjusting for confounding factors, age ≥40 years, female gender, abdominal obesity and less fruit consumption were independently and significantly associated with echocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy, as illustrated in the following equation: y = 0.36 + 0.162 age >40 years + 2.69 female gender + 2.52 abdominal obesity + 1.31 less fruit consumption. Conclusion: Lifestyle changes for the prevention of abdominal obesity and encouraging fruit consumption may be beneficial in preventing left ventricular hypertrophy.

Effectiveness and Tolerance of Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate in Sub-Saharan Viral B Cirrhotic Patients

Tenofovir reduces viral load during viral cirrhosis B and improves prognosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of Tenofovir during the treatment of viral B cirrhosis. The study was retrospective and prospective on patients with viral B cirrhosis treated with Tenofovir in the Hepato-Gastroenterology Department of University Hospital Gabriel Touré in Bamako (Mali) and evaluated between three and six months after the start of treatment. We included 89 patients. The mean age was 44.5 ± 16 years with extremes of 18 and 90 years. The sex ratio was 1.2. At inclusion all patients had a detectable viral load with an average of 2651.96 ± 1495.85 IU/ml. Follow-up viral load was undetectable in 84.3% with patients between 3 and 6 months of treatment. The average detectable viral load was only 27.04 ± 21.05 IU/ml. There was also an improvement in hepatocellular function and few side effects. Conclusion: This study shows the interest of Tenofovir in the treatment of viral cirrhosis B with very few adverse effects.

Epidemio-Clinical Characteristics of Perinatal Anoxia and Immediate Outcome of Patients at Hospital Teaching Gabriel Toure of Bamako

Introduction: neonatal asphyxia (nA) is one of the most likely causes of neuro-developmental abnormalities in children. In Mali it is responsible for half of the early deaths and the third of neonatal mortality. Updated data would help understand and improve intervention strategies to reduce mortality. Objective: It is the study of epidemiological and clinical characteristics, the immediate outcome and the factors associated with newborn (nB) mortality with nA. Material and Methods: This was a prospective cross-sectional study from June 27th to September 3rd 2016 about the nBs admitted for nA in the Hospital Teaching Gabriel Touré of Bamako. The clinical and biological data including the prognosis were collected from the health records of women, the liaison sheets and the medical file. The analysis was done using the software Epi info version 3.5.1. Results: 76 nBs were included which represented 23.45% of hospitalizations. The majority (89.5%, n = 68) were admitted to less than 24 hours of life for nA grade III according to the Sarnat classification (43.4%, n = 33). The average age of mothers was 24.17 ± 5.5 years. Almost half (41.3%, n = 31) were primigravida. The most common obstetrical event was dystocia (64.5%, n = 49). The prognosis was poor in grade III anoxia in our patients (56%) of deaths. Conclusion: The périnatal anoxia (PA) is a major health issue in Mali because of its frequency and severity. Monitoring of pregnancies, delivery assisted by skillful and qualified personnel, mastery of neonatal resuscitation techniques are good means of prevention.
