In this paper the making of homeostatic models of the bioenergetic informational acupunctural human’s system of the “Pentacube” and the “Hexagon” according to the Wu Xing rules and energy shifts dynamics is considering. The making of the meridional homeostatic model of the bioenergetic informational acupunctural human’s system based on the existing knowledges about the human body meridians is considering. Preference to choice of the homeostatic functional models of the human body organs energies interaction is substantiated. Atmospheric Deposition Study in the Area of Kardzhali Lead-Zinc Plant Based on Moss Analysis

For the first time the moss biomonitoring technique was used to assess the environmental situation in the area affected by a lead zinc plant as one of the most hazardous enterprises in Bulgaria. 77 Hypnum cupressiforme moss samples were collected in the Kardzhali municipality, in the summer and autumn of 2011. The concentrations of a total of 47 elements were determined by means of instrumental epithermal neutron activation analysis (ENAA), atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). Multivariate statistics was applied to characterize the sources of elements detected in the samples. Four groups of elements were found. In comparison to the data averaged for the area outside of the town, the atmospheric deposition loads for the elements of industrial origin in Kardzhali, where the smelter chimney is located, were found to be much higher. Median levels of the measured concentrations for the most toxic metals (Pb, Zn, Cd, As, Cu, In, Sb) were extremely high in this hot spot when compared to the median Bulgarian cross-country data from the 2010/2011 European moss survey. GIS technology was used to produce element distribution maps illustrating deposition patterns of element pollutants in the study area. The results obtained contribute to the Bulgarian environmental research used to study and control the manufacturing processes of a lead-zinc smelter in the town of Kardzhali.

Analgesic Regimen and Readmission Following Tonsillectomy

Objective: To define the analgesic regimen given following tonsillectomy in a large ENT department and correlate this with readmission for secondary complications. Methods: We performed a retrospective case note review of patients undergoing tonsillectomy within a six month period. Demographic information and relevant case information was collected including operative details, discharge medication and readmission details. Results: 125 patients underwent tonsillectomy during the period. 17 different post-operative analgesic regimens were identified with the most common being a paracetamol and ibuprofen combination (26.4%). 13 patients (10.4%) were readmitted following discharge from hospital post-operatively, four (3.2%) for issues related to pain. There was no correlation between analgesic regimens and readmission. Conclusion: No apparent link between readmission and analgesic regimen was identified. The vast variation of analgesic regimens used has prompted development of a formal step-based analgesic protocol.

Detection of angiospastic disorders in the microcirculatory bed using laser diagnostics technologies

This article is devoted to the topic of humor and religion collision, which becomes trending. Increasingly, jokes, memes, caricatures are in the center of religious scandals, criminal cases and even terrorist acts. The history of relationships between laughter and religion is full of contradictions and raises many questions. For a long time, people underestimated the positive qualities of laughter and phenomena associated with it. They considered laughter, associated with sin and vice, only from the standpoint of critical, moralizing tone — in no small part thanks to the medieval theology. However, starting around the end of the 19 th century, there is a gradual change in the attitude of society towards the phenomena of laughter and humor. This trend affects all spheres of social and cultural life, including partly theology. However, the traditional religious worldview is still characterized by a significant degree of distrust towards laughter, fun, play, and humor. The presence of a hidden confrontation, between the religious attitude to these phenomena and the general trend of their positive reassessment — can add additional tension in situations of offensive humor or humiliation by humor. Conflicts, which are based on dissatisfaction with specific examples of humor, on the one hand, are no different from conflicts occurring based on works of art for example. On the other hand, humor can provoke the inclusion of additional risks for one of the parties to the conflict — primarily reputational ones.

Motives for Children's Mortality in Modern Dark Humour

The dark humour popularity is widespread significantly in XX-XXI centuries. The role of mass media with its tragical events detailed elaboration as well as underlying social and cultural alterations could be detected as possible causes for the current event. First of all, we could speak about alteration of the attitude in the society towards laughter and humour, from negative in general to generally positive. Due to this fact the dark humour being and ambiguous one became quite a usual event for us. Significant part of dark humour jokes is dedicated to children(to themes of children's mortality, disability, paedophilia, etc.) Samples of such dark humour could be found both in the folklore of the last century and in up to date stand-up comedian's soliloquies. We give the analysis of possible reasons for the popularity of motives for children's mortality and children's suffering which are represented in the genre of dark humour. We consider the influence of the news mass media as well as an alteration of society's attitude towards problems of a child, childhood and children's mortality are the most significant reasons for above popularity.
